On April 29 five men worked for seven hours and transformed a barren piece of earth into a beautiful stream and pond setting. On April 30 we began watching birds utilize the waterfalls for bathing. The folks at Affordable Ponds did a great job. To start with, they were careful not to damage the adjacent patio as they moved tons of rock into the back yard. They worked with team precision. I took photos throughout the whole process. Mid-way through I thought "How can this come out well?". As the work progressed, it was fascinating to watch the transformation. These guys are masters. All of a sudden I could see the pond, stream and waterfalls take shape. Wow! In the end they did the finishing touches. They added waterfall lighting, planted a variety of plants, and cleaned up. I NEVER write reviews, but Affordable Ponds deserves a major shout-out. I work in a very service-oriented business and consider my standards high. Jeff and Clayton have EXCEEDED my expectations in every way. The best way to describe these guys is to say that they embody what I'd call good, old-fashioned values, which is to say that they're always courteous, helpful, dependable, reachable, respectful, responsive and on time. As for knowledge of ponds: THE BEST. These guys were able to help me reinvent my 7,000-gallon pond with an under-gravel system that works and cleans like a charm. Jeff also suggested some lighting which we never considered and it looks amazing! Before AP, I had such trouble finding pond help. I made calls that were never returned, hired a guy who was a complete loser, and worked with a guy who was nice and savvy enough, but never, ever available. Jeff and Clay are the exact opposite. Totally on it. And they've both gone out of their ways to help me since the original job--providing opinions, etc. I can't recommend these guys more. And again, I'm pretty picky. read more

My pond is old and needed some work. I thought it needed to be completely rebuilt. Kyle came to take a look and said it didn't need rebuilding, just some refurbishing with rock placement and some mortar. He came back a few days later. He repositioned the rocks that had shifted over time, and put some mortar in the channel, cleaned the pond out and refilled it, checked the pump, and cleaned the filter. The pond looks like new and the water runs so much better. And all for much less than rebuilding. I appreciated his honesty about what was necessary, and the excellent work. I can't give them more than five stars, but I would if I could. read more

Joe did a fabulous job of cleaning my pond. They responded quickly when my skimmer got plugged. Joe removed all my fish when he cleaned the pond and thoroughly power washed all the rocks.
