We told them we were going to look at new units and they said they could lower the price to $3,900. We cleared an ice build-up behind a crisper drawer, reset the error code and the unit has been running fine ever since. We had the repair company we usually use look at the machine. They attached gauges, took the back panel off the unit and said the compressors seem to be working fine. They also said the price quoted for the unneccesary repair was way too high. I have called twice asking for a refund of the $103.25 service call fee and they have not refunded my money. I would definitely not recommend this company.

The following day I brought my old fridge with me for disposal (a $55 value) when I went back to pick up my new (used) fridge. Nick even offered to deliver my new fridge if I had lived a bit closer but never the less he loaded into my pick up and even tied it down for me so I would be sure to get home safe. Not only did I get a new fridge and rid myself of the old, but I got a 90 day warranty. Standard because they are confident in there machines. This is a family owned and operated small business that has been around for a long time. Even though this was my first transaction with them I feel like I have known them years and I'm sure this won't be my last transaction at Mom's. I really don't feel like the negative reviews I just read reflect this business in least. If you need to replace a fridge, a washing machine, or a dryer, just stop in and take a look. They are very upfront and honest and all the machines are gone through and thoroughly tested. All the fridges are plugged in and running with thermometers inside. I will be back when the time comes to replace our main fridge and maybe our washer and dryer some day.

Still under warranty, Miele finally made the decision to replace this dishwasher with a new unit, not under factory warranty, and hired Damian John Installation to install the replacement. Many, many calls were made to Miele to initiate this replacement. Miele made many communications to Damian John for the installation. and sent the replacement to their business on November 24, 2025. I received email confirmation that Damian John was hired by Miele and their phone number to contact them directly should they choose to not contact me. On December 5, 2025, and after 3 months, Damian John installed the replacement. Damian John said: The dishwasher arrived to their business without any paperwork, without any direction. They claimed Miele was not in correspondence with them over this issue. They were in the dark as to what was going on. My response: I called Damian John Installation numerous times to find out when I would get my replacement dishwasher. I sent an email directly to their installation website. No communication whatsoever. Nothing. 10 days later and still no communication from Damian John. I filed a complaint against them with the Washington State Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau, for holding my dishwasher and not communicating, asking for their help in getting Damian John to communicate with me and to get them to release my dishwasher. That was on December 3, 2025. I also sent Damian John an email alerting them to the fact that I had filed complaints against their business. One hour later, after receiving my email, on December 3, 2025, I finally get a call from Damian John, excusing themselves from any wrongdoing and I had to listen to comments such as, "our's was the only job in our area they had" and "they weren't sure they would get compensated from Miele for their work" and surprised I did not jump for joy over their phone call. I did not hire these people. Miele did. I find it disturbing that I had to threaten Damian John Installation to get them to perform. I would never do business with them again, if given the opportunity and I would recommend that if you want to hire a company that would actually care, you not hire them either. This whole situation was made worse by the arrogance and total disregard for the position Damian John Installation put me in. Excuses and total lack of communication only makes things worse. In addition, finding an address online for their company is impossible.

But later after seeing how a different BackBreakers crew unloaded and packed things the next day, I decided I would not use them to move my things into a house a year later. Particularly unnerving was the unwrapped TV set on the floor 3 feet from the door, lamp shades on top of glass lamp shades without any padding in between. I had not traveled the distance to supervise the unpacking at storage. My error. July 2025 I hired a different company to move items from storage into a home, and they discovered that a leg of an irreplaceable antique desk have been broken when it was placed into storage. I will need to hire a woodworker to repair the desk leg. Also lamp shades in a box were glass to glass without any padding around them. Two leather recliners have long-lasting indentations them from nesting upside down. In a box clearky marked "pictures" was the cookware top I'd been looking for a month. One particularly expensive original piece of art in frame was not wrapped at all and the frame set leaning against a wall in storage. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this company.
