If I could give them a minus, I most certainly would. We bought a Miele dishwasher November 9, 2023. It died September 15, 2025. Still under warranty, Miele finally made the decision to replace this dishwasher with a new unit, not under factory warranty, and hired Damian John Installation to install the replacement. Many, many calls were made to Miele to initiate this replacement. Miele made many communications to Damian John for the installation. and sent the replacement to their business on November 24, 2025. I received email confirmation that Damian John was hired by Miele and their phone number to contact them directly should they choose to not contact me. On December 5, 2025, and after 3 months, Damian John installed the replacement. Damian John said: The dishwasher arrived to their business without any paperwork, without any direction. They claimed Miele was not in correspondence with them over this issue. They were in the dark as to what was going on. My response: I called Damian John Installation numerous times to find out when I would get my replacement dishwasher. I sent an email directly to their installation website. No communication whatsoever. Nothing. 10 days later and still no communication from Damian John. I filed a complaint against them with the Washington State Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau, for holding my dishwasher and not communicating, asking for their help in getting Damian John to communicate with me and to get them to release my dishwasher. That was on December 3, 2025. I also sent Damian John an email alerting them to the fact that I had filed complaints against their business. One hour later, after receiving my email, on December 3, 2025, I finally get a call from Damian John, excusing themselves from any wrongdoing and I had to listen to comments such as, "our's was the only job in our area they had" and "they weren't sure they would get compensated from Miele for their work" and surprised I did not jump for joy over their phone call. I did not hire these people. Miele did. I find it disturbing that I had to threaten Damian John Installation to get them to perform. I would never do business with them again, if given the opportunity and I would recommend that if you want to hire a company that would actually care, you not hire them either. This whole situation was made worse by the arrogance and total disregard for the position Damian John Installation put me in. Excuses and total lack of communication only makes things worse. In addition, finding an address online for their company is impossible. read more

They arrived on time, were highly professional, and had our new dishwasher installed and running in no time. A Seattle appliance outlet recommended Damian John Installations (DJI) for appliance installations wherein modifications of a household stove location are necessary. DJI did the required modifications and their subsequent stove installation seemed correctly completed. After they departed, with the first use of the stove, wherein my foot barely touched the lower panel on the stove, it fell off. We recognized the panel was mounted on / simply hanging from four protruding screws. The ops manual says the stove door must be removed to mount the panel properly. Not being prepared to do this, we have called and e-mailed at least four times with no response to our request to have someone from DJI come to properly install the panel We reached out to the appliance outlet who confirmed attachment of the panel is indeed DJI's responsibility. we live in a mid-rise in Belltown. wanted/needed to replace our cooktop and wall oven. the big box stores and the big local places wouldn't commit to an install. enter DJ. they have a niche service and fulfill it well. the owner came out to do the estimate. the first crew that came out recognized that our gas line didn't have sufficient clearance to permit installation of the oven we had purchased. after returning the oven and getting a new one that fit the space, DJ came back and did the install. if you're installing "like for like," DJ is more expensive than what you need. but if you aren't sure, or are installing something larger/different than what you have, I highly recommend them. they are essentially the only game in town for this sort of thing, and offer great service. their install people are top notch. read more

Damian John installed our Blue Star range - and when we first used the oven a strong smell of gas came out of the burners. When I contacted Damian John, they sent someone out the same day and they admitted they didn't know much about Blue Star and wasn't able to configure it. When I reached out to Albert Lee, where we purchased the appliance, they told me that there's an "air shutter adjustment that must be made at the time of installation to prevent this" and "Often times, installers do not get this portion of the install correct". Now Damian John won't come out to do the adjustment. Very disappointed in their service and had hoped they would be willing to resolve it. Beware if they have the expertise to install your appliance. ---------------------------------- Damian - according to Albert Lee, it's an air shutter adjustment that should have been completed at the time of installation - it's NOT a service issue. The person who was sent out to examine it admitted that he wasn't skilled with Blue Star ranges and had to call his manager to ask questions. We had our kitchen disassembled due to water damage from a leak in the bathroom above. I first contacted Damian John Installations to take down a Vent - a Hood to allow contractors to reinstall wallboard and paint. Lonnie and Jamie came out and did a great job of taking down the vent a hood. Today, Damian John Installation was scheduled to reinstall the SubZero Refrigerator, the Blue Star oven, the Bosch dishwasher and the Vent - a -Hood. James and Jamie arrived just at the end of their window (still on time). They put the Vent-aHood back in place, reinstalled the SubZero fridge (this is important to have it leveled properly and attached to the cabinets so it will not fall forward and the door will close on its own). They were unable to install the Bosch dishwasher because the draining tube (factory installed) was badly bent and subject to leaking if it was installed. Lastly, they installed the Blue Star oven. One of the burners was not igniting (this was happening prior to the disassembly of the kitchen) and even with cleaning did not work before they left. Yes, the work was not cheap but, I am a believer. If you buy the higher end appliances such as SubZero, Wolf, Blue Star et al, you should pony up the money to have them installed properly. If I had the dishwasher installed professionally, I would not have to get the drain tube replaced. They did not charge me to install the dishwasher. They charged the amount quoted and guarantee their installation work, with the exception of issues that fall under appliance repair. After the appliances were installed (including new fittings and hoses) and leveled, they tested them to ensure they were working properly and brought it to our attention if something was not functioning properly. They could have installed the dishwasher and charged the fee but, they brought up the bent tube and said they did not feel comfortable installing it. Later today the installation manager, Jason, gave me a call. He said that if the white connection between the orange and white wires is too close to metal it can keep the igniter from igniting the burner. Sure enough, that worked and the igniter now works. In a nutshell, I would hire them to install appliances that require more than plugging in to wall outlets. So happy with this company! read more

We purchased a refrigerator from Albert Lee and we were referred to Damian John Installations to deliver & install the new refrigerator while extracting & removing our old one. Needless to say we were concerned about them extracting our old bulky Sub Zero, damaging our custom built cabinets, AND chipping our stationary glass island/table (standing just a few feet from what we thought was going to be a minor construction zone). Jason Nelson and his helper could not have been more professional. Before the day of the de/install they communicated to us by phone and email. The day of they called ahead, and when they arrived they explained each step in their process. Plus they were extra, extra careful with our cabinets and our glass island/table. This week two technicians came to my home to resolve an installation issue I had with a new Thermador freezer and door panel. The technicians did the job quickly, were tidy and efficient. I have no problem with the work that was performed and appreciate the prompt service. However, and this is a HUGE however. About halfway through the service call, through casual conversation, the technician explained that he was unvaccinated against Covid. He was wearing a mask of sorts (a scarf around his face, which has proven to be ineffective.) I was shocked, and more than a little upset that a business like this would act so negligently and with lack of consideration for the health of their customers. At the very least, I would have expected to be given advance notice that the company would be sending someone into my home who was unvaccinated, giving me the opportunity to either find another option, avoid interactions, or take other precautions. Instead, they sent an unvaccinated person with no forewarning, no caution, and apparently no regard for the safety of those in my home. This casual disregard for the customers health and welfare is unconscionable and borderline criminal. read more

I bought appliances from Albert Lee and this is the company they refer. First of all, I was given a two- hour window and they arrived 1/2 after that window, which made me miss my next appt. I was told installing the washer and dryer was $255 each which I ready thought was pricey. I wanted them to attach the new stove to the wall as per code but, they wanted $175 to do that!! Then they told they needed to wire two outlets (which were disconnected due to new cabinets) and those were going to cost $155 each. My bill for installing a dishwasher, microwave and those two outlets was $900. They were at my place less than two hours. My electrician told me the charge was ridiculous!!! He only charges $150 an hour. They charged me more than $300 less than a 1/2 hour of work. The outlet box was removed for new cabinets and my guy told me those were about 15 minutes of work to rewire. Sad they totally take advantage of customers with outrageous fees!!! I will tell everyone never to have them install!! Hire a plumber or electrician. WAY CHEAPER!!!! read more

Needed a hood vent installed over stove, waited a week for appointment. Within first 10 minutes was advised electrical needed to be placed in different spot and they wouldn't be able to place appliance until after it was moved. Additionally there would be a service call fee charged of $175 that would not be applied to my $250 installation fee. Not sure why appliance could have been placed hung and we could have had electrical done after. What a waste of time and money, most expensive 15 minute appointment I've ever had. After trying to work with Lowe's in Mill Creek re installation of an LG washer and gas dryer, we gave up as Lowe's was taking weeks to get things scheduled and was going to involve several visits from different crews performing individual tasks! We gave up and called Damian John. We called on Tuesday and we're told it would be after Christmas. Ok, better than Lowe's! Then about 10 minutes later, Damian John office called and had a opening on Friday! We took the appointment. What a great experience. They showed up on time and were complete in a little over 2 hours. Our washer and gas dryer stack so it's a complicated install. The two person crew was totally professional (so different than Lowe's). They were very knowledgeable and provided upgraded water and gas lines of better quality than what Lowe's had us purchase. It was a wonderful experience and we'll never use another company to install appliances. We had a range and microwave installed and it was not a good experience. The range was replacing a range that had controlls on the back panel and the new range had the controls on the front. This made the installation a different fit and the installer told me that my back wall was warped so the range did not fit against the wall correctly. This caused me alot of stress since new countertops were measured and ordered based on the old range configuration so we urgently called our contractor and he assessed the issue. The back wall was not warped nor was that the issue with the installation, it was the electric connection line that needed to be moved. The installer should have know this and not suggested a false claim about a wall that was clearly flat but excused the fit of the range as our issue on not providing accurate information that could have lead us to a solution without the stress and additional expense. I called and expressed my unhappy experience with the company and have not heard a response in 2 weeks. The crew that came was not qualified nor did I want a teaching experience with expensive appliances. I will never use this company again, and beware if you want an accurate install without an excuse if the install does not go well. read more

Albert Lee appliance recommend these people to install/replace existing cooktop and downdraft for my remodel. They charged $25 to show up and give estimate. The gentleman showed up and made a list of things to do including moving gas line and other changes adding up to $1000. It sounded off since they were replacing existing appliances. I had 2 other people look at at it including the Fischer and Paykal technician. They installed them both for under $500. You should not trust these people. read more

You were also the most reasonable when it came to the estimate, and you came in at the lowest. Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of the gentleman who came and estimated, but he was extremely helpful and walked me through all the decisions he was making as he was coming up with the estimate. Unfortunately, it was still too high (specifically because its all temporary and will need to be redone in a year or so anyways) so I'm probably just going to go with a propane grill for now and then upgrade after our addition/new patio is finished. The crew from Damian John Installation just finished installing our new downdraft gas range. Not the least complicated install since it's an old house, and they needed to run new electrical and install a new, code-compliant shutoff valve for the gas, among other things. Having just recently added licensed electricians to their team, they handled everything from end to end. What a life saver. Every single member of the team -- Josh, Alex, Dom and Jason -- was polite, thorough, paid great attention to detail and showed real respect for our home and us. They cleaned up before, during and after and were done in exactly the time they committed. I would definitely recommend them and use them again! I don't leave a lot of these reviews, but having read some claims that their good reviews must have been manipulated. I can assure you that's not true. They earned every star. read more

They installed a wolf range in my house today. they were on time and courteous. they charged 3 times more than what was quoted. that I can digest. but they did not know how to cut granite countertop. they had a pretty basic saw and one of the bullnose is chipped and the other side is completely slanted. So, after my range is installed, the granite top looks horrible. My house is a high end home, and now I am searching for professional granite repair people to fix it. They however did an acceptable job with rest of the installation, which I could have done it myself. The only reason I hired a professional is because of the rework we needed for our granite countertop. When we called regarding this problem, their management is responsive so far, which is why I gave that extra star. My 2 cents for them. If you cannot professionally handle something, don't do that job. These people cannot do remodeling period. Minor cabinet rework is fine, but if you have granite or other stone countertops to be remodeled to accommodate your appliance installation, better go for a professional stone work person to get that work done. read more

I rarely leave reviews but this time it has to be an exception, because the service they provide is of nothing but excellence. We needed to replace a few pieces of our hardwood floor and as a result the fridge and wine cooler needed to be moved. Eric and his team came in with nothing but courtesy and professionalism and moved the fridge aside while still keeping it functional so we can store our foods inside. A few days later they came and put it back, cleanened and polished the exterior, and adjust the level doors until it was perfect. We were super satisfied with their work. A few days later we noticed that the ice maker wasn't making ice, so we called them today in hopes of troubleshooting the issue. The receptionist informed me that Eric isn't avaliable at the moment but will get back to me soon. Within the hour she was able to get back to me and informed me that Jason was just on his way back and would pass by my area and he will help take a look. Keep in mind that the weather forecast days today will start to snow really hard, so we were super delighted of their timely response and willingness to come out. When Jason came over, he is super professional, with great courtesy and even humorous. He diagnosed the issue right away as it turned out the water pipe behind the fridge is tightly pushed against the wall due to the lack of space between the fridge and the wall. He sawed off a small opening for the pipe to fit and replaced the old pipe with the new one right away. The fridge plus wine cooler is super heavy but he and his assistant was able to move it in and put no problem, with zero complaints even though outside is still snowing pretty hard at this point. We offererd to vacuum the area so they can get going soon in the snowstorm, but Jason kindly just said we always clean up after ourselves, and once again cleaned up everything and adjusted the level was of the fridge. I am really happy and satisfied about their excellent service in both trips, especially today since the weather is getting extreme and Jason still prioritizes customer satisfaction above all else. It has not been about two years since we had Damian John install an Island range hood and a Blue Star gas range that we purchased from Albert Lee. Overall, we were very impressed with their creative approach to our install, and from initial scheduling to the completion of the job, everything went well. The way they installed the hood was tricky since it's in the center of our kitchen, but they found a way to go through our attic. We were also pleased with the electrical contractor they recommended and they handled all the coordination. Overall, a very positive experience with this contractor. read more

I'm sure they do perform fine work, but if their customer service policies are so rigid that they can't see the insanity in charging this type of add-on fee for a very simple job, then it's a systemic problem with the management of this company and its attitude towards customers.
