AG Auto Care - Palm Desert, CA I brought my Nissan Rogue to AG Auto Care after the overhead console suddenly fell down--likely due to heat and poor design, as confirmed by the service department at Torre Nissan. Both Torre Nissan and Palm Springs Nissan quoted me $350 just to replace the unit! Mind you, this is for a part that likely shouldn't have failed in the first place. Thankfully, AG Auto Care stepped in. They were honest, helpful, and handled the issue quickly without charging me an outrageous amount. Awful service, or lack thereof ! I wasn't able to have any work done after a two day wait to get in. Spent 20min on the phone begging them to get me in or be put on a cancelation list. I was in from WA. state when my truck died. They ASSURED Me they could squeeze me in in Two days. I arrived at opening time and nobody knew anything about my plight. They turned me away (stranded) with NO explanation. They wouldn't even hear me out, let alone discuss with me. I went to their shop early on Monday without an appointment for engine light check. They were very busy but willing to accommodate me if I didn't mind waiting. I agreed to wait without hesitation. Alex was able to do the scan test and found the error number. I needed an EVAP monitor because of a leak. They ordered the part and I went back this morning and they did the repair. This location is towards the back with dedicated parking solely for the business. The customer service is phenomenal! They will go out of their way to help identify the issue or even let you know what is wrong before beginning any type of work. I highly recommend Erik working on your vehicle because he is knowledgeable and thorough. He was extremely respectful and was able to explain the problem with his course of action in fixing my vehicle. I went to 2 other shops that either could not help or would not help me(stay away from Firestone and Midas). These guys are professionals and put the extra effort in getting you back on the road. The pricing is very fair and was not disappointed. Overall 5 stars and highly recommend coming here for any type of engine and vehicle problem. This business is failing, and for good reason. Alex told his front desk today that if I paid about $90.00 for an oil change for my FJ Cruiser, he'd do a little extra work on the car, so I said okay. The extra work was not done when I picked up the car, and Alex had no explanation for why I was told work would be done that was not done. Alex's conduct indicated it was not a mistake, but intentional (he walked away murmuring "thank you, thank you," instead of answering my questions as to why he did not do what was promised). Anyone who behaves this way is not doing well in business. I went straight to the Toyota dealer and was informed that I was overcharged by this A & G for the oil change - it's only $42.00 at the Toyota dealer. read more
