Julie & Jose were amazing , They accommodated my 2 year old with a high chair (though they don't have kids menus ) but everything else was OUTSTANDING ! We started with the KeyWest Cocktail and the cranberry margarita& an apple juice on the rocks , sliders that came with French fries as our appetizer , they were a perfect medium. I ordered the 18 oz Cowboy Ribeye with side of whipped potato (mashed potatoes) peppercorn sauce that wasn't by favorite and a 10 oz skirt steak with fries and chimichuri sauce that was to die for , we both ordered them medium but came out a little under but no biggie I had a glass of the Arentinian Malbec and another Cranberry Margarita. But we couldn't end the night with out a molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream on top . We would be back on another special occasion since it's a bit pricey but I'll recommend this 1000% . Food Poisoning. I went for brunch a few weeks ago. Two out of three of us got sick. I got so ill I thought I was going to have to call an ambulance (and I'm retired EMS so I never want to call 911). I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but somebody isn't washing their hands after the bathroom. The waiters were great though. The manager blew me off when I told him what happened. I've been avoiding Aged since it opened thanks to the thorough reviews on Yelp, but when a steak-loving buddy of mine came to visit the area, and most other good places on Austin St (like 5 boro cafe) had a 45 min waiting list, or longer), I knew it'd be time to break down and go in. The pros: - The place looks great. An absolutely great atmosphere. - The service. Our waiter was amazing. IMO, the sign of a good waiter is one who keeps the food and drinks full without being noticed. Well our waiter (sorry I didn't get his name) did exactly that. With each completed drink, he would ask if we wanted another round. With each empty water glass, he'd refill it without interrupting our convo. Just superb waitering. Now for the cons: - The steaks. Ordered the aged sirloin over the filet, thinking it'd be the house specialty (re: aged.) When the food came out, it was well... gamey tasting. My mouth was turning numb, and our waiter called in the manager who agreed to swap it out for another steak of our choice, acknowledging that 'sometimes we get that complaint about the aged steaks here'. Appreciating the honesty, I asked for the filet instead, only to discover it too was funny tasting. Given the good service, I didn't have the heart to send it back, so I sat back and enjoyed my bread and steak fries ;) BTW, the bernaise sauce was LOUSY. Like something you'd get out of the jar from the local KeyFood. On our way out, I stopped to chat with the manager who gave the impression he was aware of the criticisms and working to improve the quality of the establishment. Disclaimer: I have eaten here before for brunch and had a decent experience. This review is for my experience this past Sunday, also for brunch. My sister had reserved a table for 5 for her bridal party to meet for the first time since being engaged. It was to be her, "Will you be my bridesmaid/ bridesman?" brunch and she wanted it to be special. She went out of her way to bake all morning about a dozen personalized cupcakes. When we arrived on time for our reservation, we were not seated right away. There was some confusion with our table being ready--the hostess told us it was ready, the manager said it was not; on it went until we were seated about 15 minutes later. Meanwhile, my sister had asked the staff if they could hold the cupcakes in the back until it was time for dessert. The staff assured her it was no problem and brought the cupcakes in the kitchen. Now, the brunch special there is not bad. The price is quite reasonable, there were several meal choices and free champagne poured freely until 3pm. Overall, I think we were satisfied with our food. The waiter, however gave the table attitude about pouring champagne as a last call minutes before 3pm, which is pretty rude. Finally, it was time for dessert and my sister went to request the cupcakes from the kitchen staff. When she came back to the table, she was distraught because her cupcakes were RUINED. Someone had taken out the tray that the cupcakes were so very carefully put, out of the plastic container and then put the container upside down over the cupcakes so that the frosting, the personalization of each cupcake was destroyed. No apology was provided. Not by the kitchen staff and certainly not by the manager. When the manager was told what happened, he went to the back to "investigate" after my sister explained what had happened he came back saying that his staff told him an entirely different story. That the container was given to them that way and they couldn't do anything about it. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE. He basically implied that he couldn't take our story as true because his staff told him that they didn't touch the container. They finally brought out the cupcakes, half the icing missing from most of the cupcakes. (A picture WILL be attached to this review). The waiter had the audacity to come out smiling and said, "Enjoy!" and walked merrily back to the kitchen. After that debacle, we got ready to leave and before leaving, we asked the staff for the cupcake container to be returned to us. The waiter came back, SMILING and said that he couldn't find it in the back. Again, my sister went to the manager, asking for the cupcake container to be returned. It was tupperware, hardshell, with a cover--definitely NOT disposable. He went to the kitchen, again, to "investigate" and came back, said, "Oh, they must have thrown it out," all nonchalant, like it was completely normal and reasonable for the staff to do that. Our friend spoke up and demanded some type of reimbursement if they could not give back the cupcake holder, that his attitude about the entire situation was unacceptable! He returned to the back as we waited in the front of the restaurant for several minutes and told us that they found it and that it was being washed (because apparently someone had thrown it IN THE GARBAGE). When they finally returned it, there was still NO APOLOGY whatsoever given by the staff OR management. We left and found that their version of "cleaning the container" was holding it under the faucet so that it looked wet, because when we opened the container, it was filthy. It really is a shame that this restaurant is run by someone who does not care about the satisfaction of customers. An establishment is only as good as its leader and clearly, this restaurant's leader does not have what it takes. Kitchen staff mishandling home-made cupcakes (What if they were store bought?! What if they were $90 a batch?! Who would be responsible for that disaster?!), waiters being rude and giving attitude to the customers and finally a manager who did not once apologize for the horrible experience customers had at his restaurant? I'd say that it's clear that we won't be returning to Aged. And you can bet that we'll tell ALL of our friends and family to STAY AWAY. read more

Let me preface this by saying that my wife and I visited Aged with a deep hope that we'd like it, despite what all these reviews said. I mean, it looks nice from the outside and seems to be consistently busy. They must be doing something right...? No. The general consensus on Yelp is that the service is poor but the food is decent. Our experience was the exact opposite - while not stellar, our waiter was attentive and helpful... we received our food in a timely fashion and were checked up on to ensure that our meal was going ok. And that brings me to my next point. My wife's Fra Diavolo was decent. The pasta wasn't cooked al dente but the sauce had some nice flavor to it, and it came with some unusually large prawns amongst the other seafood. I'm glad we had this, because it took the restaurant three tries to get my NY Strip correct. And that's a shame because hey your restaurant name is Aged and your specialty is supposed to be steaks. Upon receiving my steak, I cut it in the middle and found it was brown all the way through (I had ordered medium rare). I called the waiter over and he agreed that it needed to be sent back. About 10 minutes later, the waiter returned with a steak that had the exact same cut down the middle - I thought to myself, there's no way that they brought my same steak back to me. I was right - for some reason, they saw fit to cook an overcooked steak some more. The third time, I got a new steak red and cold through the middle... so we just finished my wife's pasta, and I packed up the steak to take home, where I threw it on a pan and cooked it properly. In a nutshell, the service here sucks! Food is decent, but nothing to rave about. We also came in for the weekend brunch and was escorted in by a snooty hostess who acted like she was too good for both us and the establishment. The waitress herself wasn't friendly and did the bare essentials. Even the busser was no frills, coming over to re-fill water (messily I might add) without a peep. What really made me write a less than stellar review, was that an elderly couple was seated next to us and was made to wait more than 15 minutes. The Steak Cacciatore - Seemed like they did not use fresh vegtables to make the sauce. ($27) With a glass of wine each, the bill came out to be over $100 for 2 people. I was very excited about this new restaurant and had high hopes for a new Forest Hills high-end restaurant. Well... The decor and menu were professionally designed and produced... I still can't believe I spent over $150 for a mediocre "surf and turf" dinner here. Be prepared to give your jaw an Olympic workout as your teeth attempt to grind down a tough, nearly inedible steak. Try not to think of all the money you wasted as you bite into a rubbery, previously frozen lobster tail (so old that "Aged" feels like an appropriate name). The quality was on par with Applebee's or TGIF Fridays - I hate to say it but steaks from Outback actually tasted juicier and fresher. I find it ridiculous that many "positive" reviews for this place are based solely on the quality of their "brunch" special - as if bottomless cheapo champagne and scrambled eggs are somehow hard to obtain and should define the quality of a steakhouse. This is like giving McDonald's five stars based on the quality of its iced tea. "Aged" represents the old-school Forest Hills dining scene that still lingers on despite some hotspots of hope (Banter, Station House, Reef, etc) - bland, lightly seasoned dishes meant to appeal to delicate, aging stomachs, with a perfect "A" in cleanliness, the illusion of "upscale" dining, and an "F" for taste or value. Let me jot down my experience from start to finish. I went to aged with the expectation that the service and food were going to suck, based on all the previous reviews. I even braced my husband for it. Since we went on a Tuesday we didn't have much trouble getting in. Of course, even though there were several empty tables, the host still made us wait outside for 10 minutes, but he probably realized that it was raining so he seated us first before the rest of our party got there. The decor of Aged reminded me of being in a fancy decorated barn. It wasn't as roomy as I'd like it to be, but this is Forest Hills; it's crowded enough as it is and you're not going to find restaurants with leg room. As soon as we sat down we had a waitress bring us various water choices - tap, flat, or sparkling. Actually, now that I think about it, she was attentive to our party from start to finish. When we got our food I was a little bit surprised to see the size of the meat versus the size of the sidedishes. More meat and little sidedishes. I got the filet mignon - I ordered it medium and it came out just the way I wanted it, brown on the edges with a pink center. The filet was nice and tender. The sauces were pretty good - I enjoyed the "glorified ketchup" steak sauce and chimicuri sauce more than the others. They could've added a bit more flavor into the mushrooms, but the mashed potatoes were great and the steak fries were like every other fry. Overall, I'd say the food was good, not awesome, no Peter Luger's, but you really can't compare the 2. My only complaint was the music selection. We walked into Celine Dion, and left at Sting. The music didn't match the decor or mood, but our party really didn't seem to mind or notice until after the food was eaten. I would give it a 4, but the price of the place kind of ticked me off. We paid well over $200 dollars for 5 people which is outrageous for Queens. None of us got appetizers and only 3 people got actual drinks. If it were less pricey I would've given the extra star. It tasted like freezerburn butter and was slimy in a bad way. I did not finish this. Do not get tilapia - it was slightly breaded but ended up being mushy and soggy, drenched in watery sauce and not well seasoned. I finished only cause I was hangry. What a disappointment. My friends and I couldn't get a table at 5 Burros, so we decided to give Aged a try despite the bad reviews. First off, I was puzzled by the 6-7 different sauces listed under the steaks. Pick any sauce for your steak? Hmmmm.... I had my doubts. Putting chimichurri for a porterhouse? That was just too weird. Ayway, I opted for a 14oz marinated skirt and the others had a turkey burger and pasta alfredo. We also shared a crab cake app. The crab cake app had Japanese seaweed salad thrown on top. Very weird. Thankfully, I do like seaweed, but it almost looked like they tried way too hard to make something so simple very fancy. The combination didn't really work. My steak. Wow. I ordered mediaum rare, but most of it was well-done and tough as leather. Not only that, it was completely bland. The waiter had said that the steak is pre-marinated in chimichurri, so you don't need any special sauces, but boy was he wrong. You can get a better steak at your local diner. On top of it, my 14 oz looked more like a 2" x 8" thick bacon strip. It was a joke. I almost felt like I was on Punk'd. My friend's turkey burger was perfectly round with perfectly even thickness, or should I say thin-ness? It was definitely a frozen mass-produced patty as you were able to see the dimples all around it. Nevermind how dry it was. The pasta was the best part of the meal, but that's not saying much because it was bland and overcooked. Oh the wine list! What respectable steak house lists wines by the glass by only listing the varietal? No vineyard, no region, no vintage. Our choices were cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, pinot noir, etc. They could've poured a glass of Carlo Rossi and charged $9 and we wouldn't know it. It was definitely weird that the bottles of whites were priced generally higher than red. WTF? And the cheapest bottle of white was $36? C'mon guys, you're in Forest Hills, not midtown. The average price of a bottle was about $60 - a bit too high for the hood. Not only that, there were only about a dozen selections to choose from each white and red. Navarro Correa Malbec for $38? Give me a break. Last but not least, I hate when they serve beers in wrong glasses. I had a Hoogarden and my friend had a Guiness and guess what? They were both poored into a Blue Moon pilsner glass. Update: We have returned again recently and were pleasantly surprised at an improvement in service. I'll bump this up from 1 to 3 Stars. --- we visited aged the other night to give it one more chance. we went there last year, and were not impressed by the food or service. however, we were in the mood for trying something different that night, so aged it was! boy, was that a mistake. the minute we arrived, we were forced to wait in the tiny entry area where the hostess was standing. at this point, in a normal restaurant, we should have been greeted and made welcome. instead, we ended up standing there for a good 7 minutes before she even acknowledged us. she was too busy arguing with a customer. this would be okay, if she at least said, "sorry, be with you in a minute". just before she said anything to us, the manager walks in completely discombubulated, and literally knocked me to the side and might as well have walked right through me. no apologies, no "excuse me", nothing. finally, the hostess tells us it will be 15 min. before we can get our table, so we decide to wait at the bar. boy, was that another mistake. we sit at the bar and the first thing that happens is an angry waiter comes over to complain to the bartenders about his tip. he did not do this under his breath whatsoever. the whole restaurant could hear him and i'll quote him: "this b*tch didn't even give me....she only left me..." he was clearly not happy with his tip and made sure everyone knew. what a friendly environment so far!! immediately after that, the initial argument that was happening between the hostess, manager and customer escalated into a hostile screaming match for all customers to witness. the manager was pacing back and forth and even called the cops to come! we found out from the bartender (who seemed to be the only normal person in the place) that they were arguing over a $50 gift certificate. the customer thought it was good for a year, and the mananger was telling him that it was only good for 6 months. any rational manager would immediately grant the customer's wish and be done with it. no, this manager decided to let the issue escalate into a shouting match in front all of his patrons and even let the police come. whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? meanwhile at this point, we're wondering why the hell we're even still here. so we decided to down our drinks and leave. at this point, the dumb hostess comes over to us and says in a very unfriendly, terse tone: "your table is ready. pay your tab here". we then were to sure to let her know that we would no longer need that table. i mean really?!! what would ramsay say about this?!?! so on to moca we went to enjoy a nice dining experience and where the environment was friendly, and most importantly, non-threatening. so if you haven't guessed already, we will never be going back to aged, and we hope you will take advice and not go also. we cannot wait until this "restaurant" changes management. number one "tip" for Aged. We were greeted by a server. We asked to sit outside but he never ushered us instead he said sure and just walked away to another group of guests. We stood there and we weren't sure what to do. The hostess or bartender finally said that we can sit wherever outside. It was a hot day and I really wanted a cold, crisp, pilsner and our server suggested a Blue Moon. The complete opposite of a pilsner. We ordered the tuna tartare and it didn't have a crispy element. There was no texture to the dish. Everything on the plate was mushy. We asked for bread anything to eat the tartare with. The server said sure and disappeared and didn't come back till much later. When he came back he asked if everything was ok. Obviously he completely forgot about our request. At that point, we just wanted to leave. They weren't diligent on filling up our water glasses either and the restaurant wasn't busy! read more

Aged is an expensive and pretentious version of TGIF. I ordered the Steak Cacciatore and my date ordered the Mussels Luciano. The Steak Cacciatore (slices of steak combined with linguini) tasted awfully bland. It was literally a plate of plain ol' spaghetti with pieces of tough, not-well-seasoned steak on top. I could make the same dish 10x better at home. I also thought it was strange that the waiter didn't ask me how I liked my steak cooked... The Mussels Luciano was equally as terrible - if not, worse. I have had my fair share of fishy-tasting seafood but this dish tops it all. The mussels tasted like they were sitting under the Sun, marinating in fish guts for an entire month. I can't believe the chef actually served this. Both dishes were priced at around $23, which is way too overpriced considering how subpar they tasted. Don't even give this place a try. read more

I don't think people in the neighborhood around there appreciates the quality (Or upscale) of food and decor. It's a different market, more for Upscale old people to enjoy a nice dinner with a nice decor. People who comes here reminds me of Long Islanders from Manhasset or Uptown NYC Peeps, but in Forest Hills queens. I'm giving these guys these stars ONLY because of the food. I hate when I love the food a restaurant provides but their service is TOTAL CRAP... because I still keep coming back for the food. UGH! Let's see how many more times I can take, though. Been here a couple of times for brunch, which includes their bottomless champagne special. It's usually packed for brunch so I can understand when the waiters are busy they can be a bit overwhelmed, and that's okay, I'm here to get drunk. Great brunch options, from steak and eggs to smoked salmon to fruit pancakes, etc; portions are on the smaller side but the quality of the food is pretty good. I always enjoy my meal here. Seeing how brunch was okay, I tried coming here for their Monday night $1 oyster special one time. It was pretty empty, so I totally did NOT expect the rudeness my waiter gave my table. Was it because we were the youngest diners in the room (I'm in my mid-20s)? It was the only reason I could really come up with. We weren't even being raucous, I was literally on a date with just my best friend and my boyfriend. From his deadpan delivery to me to questions about the menu being flat-out ignored, to having to physically get up from my table to flag him down even though he walked past my table a number of times, to my check taking like 20 minutes to get resolved, to... Oh yeah, the fact that I asked for a Bloody Mary when I first ordered and then had it not be served to me. I had to ask another waiter if it was on the way, and he brought it to me in 5 minutes. When I did end up getting the check, I noticed that I had gotten charged twice for the drink, so my actual waiter did put the order in, and then just either forgot to serve it to me or just chose not to. I'm usually pretty forgiving about bad service because there are a number of things that can be factoring into a experience. Sometimes it's super busy and the waiter doesn't have time to pay you any mind, or maybe he's having a bad day. I get it, I've worked in customer service before. But I literally watched my waiter laugh and joke like mad and slap the arm of another diner at another table he was waiting, and then come to us with this exasperated glare like he couldn't be bothered to serve us or something like that. My table was one of like, three that had people sitting at it, so I really can't find much excuse for my experience. Smile through your teeth if you have to, why make patrons feel uncomfortable like they shouldn't be there? As for the food, it was good. My oysters weren't served over ice which was questionable but they weren't bad. My friends got steak and some clam chowder, both of which were good too. I have nothing to complain about when it comes to their food. But needless to say I will not be coming back for dinner... at least not when that guy is working there. The other waiters seemed friendly and normal. But there's other places that are much cheaper for the same amount of tastiness and where I don't need to roll my eyes on the way out. read more

Came here with a few friends for their weekend brunch around 1:30pm then had to wait for a table for about 45 minutes. The brunch had a good selection for $17.95 with unlimited champagne. Of Course if you don't drink like me that's a rip off compared to some amazing brunches you could get from east/west villages/soho in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Idk why I wanted a burger so I ordered the burger with a sunny side egg. The patty was quite undercooked considering I asked for medium and it didn't taste that great. The egg was a bad idea because it made the buns soggy and hard to hold. I ended up only eating half of the burger. Their sides of steak fries = 5 to 6 pieces of subpar fries. The bill came out to be $23 per person. I've definitely had $10 less but way better brunches elsewhere. So no to brunch in queens unless Astoria! read more

Aged is one of the restaurants that I go to most regularly. Overall, the staff is friendly and attentive, decor/ambiance is nice and the food is above average. I've tried several dishes which were good but my favorite dish is the lamb chops which is excellent and the one I order most often. I would give them a 4 star rating, but on some visits such as last night, the service can be painfully slow. The restaurant might have been only a third full at most and it took roughly 45 minutes to get our entrees which were the only food items we ordered. It's not always that slow, but when it is, it can be very frustrating and annoying. I still enjoy going to Aged, but if the service continues to be as slow as my last visit, I'd rather go somewhere else. If the service improves consistently, I will happily upgrade my rating. On my most recent visit last week, I ordered my burger to be cooked medium. When it came, it was well done. Second time I ordered a burger and second time it was over cooked. Why bother asking if the cook just makes them all well done? Things such as this will stop me from giving them a rating more than 3 stars. If it happens again, I will drop it to 2 stars. read more

Way too pricey for food and drinks. That being said, the sangria tastes like ass. Literally. Has to be THE worst sangria I ever tasted. Left the entire glass there. The first time I came here, I came with a couple of friends. I was told the spinach salad was really good. So we ordered some appetizers- oysters and jumbo cocktail shrimp. For the entrée I ordered the spinach salad of course, which turned out to be AMAZING! As for the appetizers not so much. Every single oyster we ate had SO much dirt in it. We tried one thinking it was maybe just that one but then we had another and another and it all had so much dirt you could hear the crunch in your teeth. Disgusting. We ended up telling the waitress who's response was that they probably didn't clean it well. That's really no excuse. Anyway I asked for it to be replaced with another appetizer and we got the crab cakes. As for the cocktail shrimp, they were pretty good. The 2nd time I came here I heard about the lunch special. The food was great and the price was really reasonable! It was a 3 course meal which started off with lobster bisque. SO good! Then I had some sort of a fish entrée (can't really remember what it was because it wasn't great). And finally ended it with a raspberry sorbet for dessert, which was also amazing! went again and the food was good, I like rare steak but it was so rare it might have been still breathing when i cut into it. Once again they didnt have everything advertised in fact they only had 2 types of wine. The place is ok and def has potential but the service is really slacking. There was no greeter just an empty podium and a 4 person line waiting to be seated , some people just stated to walk away. The bus boy Baboo was really helpful and the waiter was nice but not for the type of money i paid. I went to Aged for Father's Day dinner this evening. I'd meant to Yelp a few more places before getting to this one, but I had such an atrocious experience that I had to get this review out as soon as possible. Part of me is feeling schadenfreude while writing this - this meal was so bad; I'm enjoying reviewing this restaurant so the world - I count the world among my readership :P - can see how awful it is - but more than anything I feel crummy. I had a terrible meal and that makes me sad. Before I went I briefly scanned over the reviews and saw that several Yelpers had noted that the service was really slow. Although I walked in with an open mind they really lived up to their reputation; it took them over 10 minutes to bring out our beer (in the bottle!). When the waiter finally took our order I asked for the spicy wings to start, but he replied that the wings were the only item they had run out of. Ok, no problem, instead I'll have the short ribs. One hippopotamus, two hippopotamus, three hippopotamus... ...ten thousand three hundred seventy nine hippopotamus... 30 minutes later when they finally served the appetizers, our waiter put down my parents' and said "I'll be right back with your coconut shrimp and" Cutting him off before he could finish, I reminded him that "I ordered the ribs." "Oh, sorry, we're out of those." I have a tendency to unconsciously wear my feelings on my face but tonight was completely intentional. I was trying to convey my irritation to the waiter, but he didn't seem to pick up on any of it. Instead he asked me if I'd like another appetizer. Not wanting to hold up the meal any longer than it was already taking - or willing to wait another 30 minutes for an appetizer that may or may not have existed - I declined. My parents had the crispy tuna - wrapped in nori and barely seared - which was alright and the spinach salad - goat cheese, walnuts, raspberry vinaigrette - which was fine too. Mercifully after they removed our plates it only took 15 minutes to get our steaks out. My dad and I both ordered the strip done medium, which was served on the bone. New York strip is my default steak so I've eaten a lot of them and this is the first time I've seen one on the bone, which was the first signal that something was wrong. My dad rightly pointed out that it's disingenuous to bill it as a 16 oz. steak on the menu without specifying that it's bone-in, since the cut of meat would be less than 16 oz. The last time I went to a steakhouse I had a bad experience where my steak was overcooked, so this time I decided cut into the thickest part of the meat before eating it. Sure enough, my spidey sense had not failed me as my steak came out just barely pink in the very center. I took a bite to try it out, but it tasted liked it looked - medium-well and overdone. Of course the waiter had come by to ask how everything was before I'd even had a chance to try the steak, so I had to wait before I could flag him down to send it back. I think this is the first time I've sent something back to the kitchen and I really don't feel good about it, but I didn't want to muddle through a crappy meal and pout about it if it was something that could be fixed in short order. We ordered garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and crispy cauliflower - under the appetizer list - as sides, and I'd hoped to keep busy with these while they redid my steak, but they took away my plate, which would have made eating them quite awkward. For what it's worth the potatoes were good, the creamed spinach was much too creamy or cheesy, garlicky and thin to be good (it's like the spinach was there to only give the dish color, not flavor or texture) and although I didn't try the cauliflower (it's one of the few things I don't like), my dad mentioned that it wasn't crispy, which I confirmed by poking it with my fork. My grandmother had the hanger steak, which was also overdone, and I managed to stave off hunger by having some green beans from her plate that were cooked with enough salt and butter to make them taste good, but my overall impression was that they were too greasy and heavy. My dad's steak was cooked properly, but he wasn't impressed with the quality of the meat, and my mom was ok with her kobe burger (it was too lean and dry for me). The waiter returned with a new steak after 15 minutes and, much like before, I proceeded to cut into the center to test the meat before digging in. This time instead of grilling almost all the juiciness out of it, the kitchen had sent back a steak that was deep red in the center, completely rare (moo!).
