Went there yesterday for the 1st time for their "Disco & Freestyle" night and it was amazing! The DJ was amazing; he played all of the hits from those eras!!! Their Fish & Chips is a must to try! I gave them 4 stars because the wait time for drinks was crazy since it was crazy busy due to the event, I think when they're hosting nights like that they need to get more bartenders but other than that, they're superb! After coming to LL for 2 decades I was deeply disappointed to see the horrific changes the NEW OWNER has implemented. The servers are still Wonderful, but everything else that we knew & loved about this once elegant establishment is gone. Overall had a good experience celebrating wifey's birthday tonight. Food was very good. They're running a crab fest. But i only ordered the crab chowder which I really enjoyed. We also got the baked clams for apps and I recall them being bigger. But still tasty. Family ordered the linguine with shrimp, salmon, jumbo shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, and lobster Mac and cheese. Everyone loved their food. My only caveat was the Mac cheese was a little watery. Service was good. They were busy so the waitress was busy tending to all of her tables. Food took a while to come out. We had to wait a bit for our entrees. But the cool thing was the waitress hooked us up with bread pudding as I had mentioned it was my wife's birthday. Came back for lobsters today. Fellow diners had steamed and it was good. I had the 36.00 lobster roll. I hate to say, but it was not fresh. Sadly, it did not taste like lobster. We came to London Lennie's for our annual family seafood outing with five adults. We made a reservation through Resy for Saturday at opening time. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted by friendly staff who brought us right to our table. The oysters were shucked beautifully, already separated from the shell, sitting in their brine, and there were no broken shell bits. For my entree, I had the blue cheese and Duval mussels. But I feel with a couple of tweaks it would be great. Lobster Mac and cheese was devoid of any lobster that I could visibly see. The bartender is moving at a snails pace, & customers are getting fed up. This is a 1st. At 6:45 pm there is no improvement. Restaurant is still fairly empty. Had the restaurant week menu, which was $45 for dinner menu. The maine hollander & de koning mussels was fair, as some were cooked but opened and required a little effort to pry open. The blue cheese and duvel beer was a little sour for my taste. The brined Berkshire pork chop was initially cooked well, tender and still possessing good moisture. However, the pickled mustard relish was excessively bitter, as I expected a more savory or sweet complement to the protein; a second pork chop with vegetables came out well from the kitchen as a substitute. The Georgia peach crisp was decent, though taking long to eat resulted in the ice cream melting abruptly, causing everything to be a little soggy. read more

Wow. Just had an amazing dinner here. Shared the fried calamari as an appetizer. Batter was crispy but light, just perfect. Two in our party had cups of New England chowder. I had the seared scallops. OMG--so tasty! My husband had the grilled halibut on a bed of carrot puree. Our friends had soft-shell crabs & the seafood cazuela. The food is very good but the service at the bar is terrible. We had to wait about 15 minutes to order our drinks and then the female bartender forgot to serve our glasses of wine and drinks. Our empty dishes sat for about 30 minutes and only picked up because our second order came out and the waiter bringing out our order removed them. We saw this for several other patrons sitting at the bar. Prices for everything on their regular and happy hour menu were increased, which were already high for the neighborhood. Happy hour is NO longer happy at London Lennie's. If you're going to charge higher prices placing the restaurant in a higher scale then your service must match. The happy hour portions have also gotten smaller and our drinks were light on the liquor. Sad to say we will no longer visit or recommend this establishment. read more

Truly a classic growing up in the area. They never miss a beat as they've been true to what they're known for. It took a while to get the apps too. We then ordered fried calamari - waited about 15 minutes and it never came. Decided to leave at that point. We had a condescending server who really tarnished my birthday dinner. Lack of attention only to our table requiring repeated reminders resulting in having to ending give feedback were required. The service at London Lennie's was fantastic. The staff was friendly and were very willing answer all our questions. I have to say every dish looked amazing and were vey tasty. I got the king crab cluster and linguine with shrimp. They give all the utensils you need and assist you with putting your bib on lol. Service was dutiful and the seats were cushioned and comfy. Lighting was a bit dark and the music was relatively low volume and the crooning not overwhelming. I could hear and be heard. They brought us like three loaves of home made bread that was delicious. I couldn't stop eating the bread--OMG. The baked clams were delicious, albeit a little rubbery. The calamari was a little on the small size. They had the rosette which means they were not fake calamari (pork anus)--but they were the real thing!! They were seasoned fabulously and generously. The red sauce was tasty! The filet was ok. Not great but not bad. Insufficiently spiced not very tender and a bit deficient in flavor. I came here on a Wednesday on the Happiest Hour after work. The bar area was definitely busy and popping. I walked straight to the bar area because there was no host or hostess in the front when I arrived. The server asked if I had checked in with the hostess, and I said "no" because there was no one in the front, so I just sat down. I apologized because I didn't know, and the server accommodated me. I ordered the sangria that was watered down from the description provided, but at the same time, I was glad since I had a baby to go home to and work the next day. I ordered 6 oysters and 6 little neck clams. The top neck clams were already sold out. Both items hit the spot. Since I still had sangria left and was avoiding a buzz, I ordered the Mussels. These mussels were awesome. I enjoyed the broth, and I requested bread to dip and soak up all the liquid goodness. Great place for all night happy hour on a Wednesday night. I just went last week with a few friends to their oyster happy hour and I have to admit, it was amazing! I think the oyster happy hour was such a good deal, it was cheap but you tender to over order so it actually adds up but definitely felt it is worth the visit. The happy hour is Tues- Fri from 4pm-6pm, Sat 2pm-4pm and Wed all day. The happy hour was in their oyster lounge which was next to the bar so expect table top seating or a smaller booth. The happy hour was first come first serve and all in the party have to be there to get a table. The HH is $1 on both top and little neck clams, half off oysters and discounts on apps and drink. The clams do still have a "sea funk" but the freshness and texture of the clam was wonderful. Came here for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty. It definitely holds space for a large crowds. I had the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat. It was jumbo shrimp and crabmeat and it was meaty and fresh and covered in a butter sauce. It came with side of veggies. One of my buddies who moved back to NY after spending a few years in California. He was originally looking for an oyster place. He mentioned LL to me and I told it was a staple for me for years.
