Came here on a Monday night for dinner. The food was decent and the service was bearable. At the end of the meal they added a automatic 18% gratuity to my bill for a party of 3. I've been dining for so many years and this was my first time being charged automatically for gratuity for a party less than 5. I know typically parties 5 and more have gratuity billed in. This place gave me bad vibes the moment I stepped in. Appears as if they judged us thinking that we won't tip so they added tip automatically. Tip should be earned and not forcefully charged. They are dishonest and unprofessional. BEWARE and check your bill if they add gratuity automatically because they will make you sign another receipt to add additional gratuity. Yesterday me and my wife went to this particular restaurant for her birthday. We waited for a little while before we were served .That wasn't really a big deal. But when our order finally came the food was mixed up. my wife ordered a medium rare steak and sauteed spinach. And I ordered a well done cheese burger with French fries,My wife ordered was messed up. The waiter brought my wife a well done steak and creamy spinach. Which she didn't ask for ,the only thing that she ordered that they got right was the mashed potatoes. But I told the waiter to change the steak, and the spinach. And he did ,with no problem. When you pay $58.00 for a steak ,it should be a steak that's melts in your mouth. Not something so tuff that you can barely chew it. But the waiter and the manager brought my wife a really good steak the second time, they rectified the situation. The rest of the night, went really well, they sang happy birthday to my wife ,brought her out a piece of cake with a candle. So out side of the the food debacle. We decided to go out on Valentine's Day (on a Friday) night so we knew what we were getting into. Reservations at 6 we got in and sat. if you could relate to what the inside of Noah's Ark looked like, it was last night. Way too many people crammed in. I was constantly being bumped into and watched like a hawk from the reservations waiting (that's how close they were) when we ate because they were made to wait in a small alcove and a "lane" for people to wait by the door. It was awful. 15 min for them to acknowledge us at the table then 25 min for a drink. Was not properly staffed for the amount of people there it took 40 min for food after the drink. People were getting up to look for their waiters. We had the Truffle Mac n cheese appetizer, it was velveeta heated up. My husband had the fish I had the steak, Nothing worth writing home about. Wasn't even asked about a dessert. They threw the check on the table and said thank you. As I looked over the manager said " oh these tables are opening up" to the watchers standing there . I saw my waiter three times, once to bring the drink and then to drop the food and then throw the check on the table. Lesson learned : 1) Do not go here again on a Holiday. Perfect spot for a hearty meal and great flavor, we ordered the whole branzino, which had good side salad to pair with. The short rib on a bed of mash potat which had great flavor but also reminded me of korean flavors probably better paired with rice instead. I had an unfortunate dining experience at this restaurant tonight. This restaurant is usually our favorite. But after tonight, I am not sure. Let me explained what happened: I ordered the 26 dollars cheese ravioli and eplicitly requested tomato sauce twice, yet it was served with cheese sauce. Who can eat four cheese ravioli with cheese sauce on top of it? even my toddler split it out immediately. To make matters worse, an automatic 18% tip was added to our bill. I don't mind paying a good tip if the service is good and we like the waiter/waitress. But unfortunately we don't like the service provided by our waitress since she didn't get our order correct. We also have to repeat ourselves two or three times to her every time we order something. And when she is not able to get it right, she said she only works here once a week. Well, does it matter if you works here once a week or once a year? if you are good, you will get it right. Please don't give yourself excuses. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and the food wasn't bad but the service was. First of all, we were ordering from their $36 dollar prefixed dinner menu. The server gave us her recommendations and said the mashed potatoes was included with our steaks and any side dishes we wanted would be extra, which we were fine with. But then the mash potatoes never came out with our steaks and our server blamed it on the kitchen for forgetting. But when we saw the bill, we were each added $5s for the mash potatoes. So that pissed me off on the spot. I feel like she hustled us but we decided to not let that ruin our night and make a big deal out of it. Secondly, they werent attentive at all, I had to ask 4 times during our dinning experience to refill water. The entree took forever to show up after the appetizer, like about 30minutes and they weren't even busy. And they didnt even give us steak knifes until we asked for it. Thirdly, when I asked for the check to be split on what the two of us had ordered, since one bill is slightly more than the other; she refused because it was easier for her to divide it into two from the total. Lastly, I just checked my credit card statement online and realized she alternated the tip amount I wrote, to a higher amount and now I have to contact my credit card company to dispute it. I had been there before, a long time ago with my mom (pre-COVID), for the brunch and wasn't impressed. The place had been TOO crowded, smelled dank and guests tables literally stuck together in a way that was really very uncomfortable and not conducive to family brunch. Having said this, I went very recently for the lunch special with another family member and the food was amazing. It looks like a few things were changed up since the pandemic and everything was really clean and smelled fresh, which was nice. The team is friendly. The coffee is pretty good as well. Although we were only a party of two and there weren't any other guests seated yet, it did take quite a bit of time to get our burgers, but otherwise the experience was pretty nice. I ordered medium rare and it came slightly pink. Stuffed clams were tiny. Calamari was good but breading kept falling off. Came here on a beautiful April afternoon, they have a lunch special pre fix for 25$ for 3 courses. For appetizers we had the salad it was light and the refreshing. Everything was fresh. For lunch hubby got skirt steak for 5$ extra. Very well worth it. I had the filet mignon steak tip sandwich and it was excellent. Desserts for vanilla ice cream or cheesecake. Both very good. When my cousin called to have her charges corrected, the manager Asif told her that my review is a "lie", and we didn't have bad service or quality of food. He's very fortunate he spoke to her and she's a quiet person because if this manager tried to bully me this way, he would've heard from the cops for harassment. You had a table of 8 people who ALL said it was bad, yet your first instinct is to say my review is a lie and bully me even though your restaurant now made ANOTHER mistake of mischarging the cards. The manager then stalked me down to FB and waved at me. So we have bad service and instead of messaging me like a normal business owner, this guy stalks me down because he wasn't happy with my group's unanimous feedback. Last night, my friend John and I, decided to eat at "Aged" Steakhouse. When we walked in it was a beautiful quaint restaurant with French doors letting the setting sun into the seating area. They have a nice bar you can sit at or be seated at a table or bench nook against the wall. They have wine, and special signature drinks and mojito, margarita and sangria homade pitchers. We started with a pitcher of red sangria served with rosemary bread soaked in olive oil. For appetizers, scrumptious calamari lightly deep fried with fried jalapeño peppers, mouth watering baked clams and an amazing grilled octopus over a splash of tomato sauce and little grilled cherry tomatoes and breaded fried cauliflower, cooked soo good it was like a steak. For dinner we both ordered the large boneless thick and juicy Ribeye steak. Soooooo delicious and cooked to perfection, medium rare, pink on the inside and charred on the outside. Mmmmmmm mmmmmm good. With a side of sautéed sliced mushrooms and chimichurri sauce to dip. The steak was so well prepared it needed nothing on it though. Not the place to spend money on a steak. Came here with my family , and my wife wanted to share the tomahawk($145) with me . The steak comes with mashed potatoes and fries as sides, with 3 dipping sauces . We always order medium rare. The steak arrived to the table medium well, some cuts were even on the verge of well. Normally I'm not picky but for that price I didn't want to eat what we didn't order . The waitress saw I was unhappy and offered to replace the steak with a new one. The replacement arrived about 10 minutes later , and it was cold in the middle( actually somewhat raw) and charred on the outside . To be kind we ate this one and decided it was better than well done . To boot, there is no chance it was a 2lb steak as advertised , and no, the weight wasn't in the hollow bone. Not so sure about the other food items besides my daughters chicken tenders ( which the waitress told us were going to be nuggets) so I can't really say. They had a bunch of seating available, and they were very diligent about providing shade for their tables the day we went and it was over 90°F Food was pretty good - ordered the buratta salad (must have) and the salmon sliders. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye - seasoned well but overcooked like other reviews had said. We unfortunately sent it back because it was medium-well to well done when we ordered medium rare but the second steak was impeccable. Half of the burger orders were wrong. There was bacon on the wrong burgers and we were told the onions on the burgers were fried. I feel that we should get what we pay for especially since we are paying the high prices we did. The bill came to $325 (one shrimp salad, avocado salad, burger sliders, four burgers and a bowl of pasta). It was definitely would not be somewhere I would go back to. I recently ordered thru Seamless for their food. I actually ate there years ago when it first opened but it has been a long time between visits, and even still I didn't actually go. From what I remember, it's right off of Austin St and 71st Ave, a block before depending on which way you are coming from. I like to call that block restaurant row as there are nothing but restaurants. There's outdoor seating when appropriate weather allows it. That's what I remember. The food both times, is delicious. I had the steak and i thought the portions were a little small but other than that it was still warm and cooked pretty close to perfection. I will have to visit again soon. Parking in that area can be tough. Its metered during the day and evening. There is a parking garage a block or two away as well. read more

We were offered the single table outside with two chairs 6' apart. We ordered wine and old fashioned, Saffron shrimp and Golden Calamari. Seafood was fresh and very flavourful. This was my first visit to Aged in Forest Hills. The first thing I noted was the COVID protocols were loosely followed with no distancing or contact tracing. However maks for staff were worn. The indoor and outdoor areas were crowded and on top of each other - a little noisy. The food was decent, some good but nothing stood out. The staff seemed to have tried to be very attentive, but may have been overwhelmed by the number of tables they each had or perhaps by limited numbers of them. The prices are reasonable. Don't go here. The meat was not good. We had the filet mignon and the NY Strip stake w mashed potatoes, truffle fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were too oily. The only salvageable thing was the Mac and cheese. I live in the neighborhood and love the restaurants in forest hills, so yesterday a friend and i decided to try aged. I was very disappointed. We sat down there was no one in the restaurant at the time we were the only two customers. It took about 15 minutes to bring us water. Then we ordered a bottle of wine, the only cab they had on the menu, and she didn't know what it was. That took another 15 minutes. A new table comes in and they're set up immediately with water and bread. We had already ordered our food but we hadn't gotten any bread or even our wine (half an hour into our service) then our appetizers and our food came out at the same time and that's when our server asked us if we wanted bread. Food was mediocre at best. We ordered crab cake and burrata appetizers, i had the short rib ravioli and my friend had the shrimp pesto pasta. Crab cake appetizer was good. Burrata was ok, however we couldn't really enjoy the apps as they were brought out with the entrees so we were trying to focus on our meals. The entrees were bad. I didn't like mine, it was basically Al dente ravioli-- Barry any short rib filling. Also server asked us if we wanted parmigiana after our meals were almost finished. I was first at Aged as part of a Yelp Elite event. The drinks were plentiful and the food was good, so when we were invited to dine here I jumped at the chance. The restaurant is a beautiful space dark wood and a spacious bar, like a steak house should look. We all ordered from the price fix menu. Unfortunately the steak I had this night was not up to par. It was tough for my liking. They also do not offer a choice of side dishes just mashed potatoes. No substitutions so if you wanted a veggie you had to pay extra. Our host had the salmon which did not come with a side so she ordered the asparagus. The house salad was OK as was the sorbet for dessert. Like most steak houses this place is pricey. I ordered it medium, it was literally raw in the middle. Bright pink, the type you feel if you continued to eat you would get sick. I sent it back, I should have just told them take it off the bill. But I sent it back, it came back cooked better, but the cook fried it with the egg on top..it was so dry I literally took a couple bites and was over it! Apparently their dinner is better, but whatever. Steakhouse, bar and grill..end of the day, you should know how to cook a burger. Not even a McDonald's burger could have been worse than this.
