I came to Princeton for the day, and the first thing I did was look up a local place to get pasta. Should've picked a different spot. The pasta (I got the alla vodka) was super undercooked and chewy, and the Aperol Spritz was all Aperol, little prosecco/club soda (which isn't the worst necessarily lol, but it was so strong I could not finish it). I love Italian food more than anything, but mistakes were made coming here. Finishing my overpriced meal quickly and walking off the carbs. No bueno! read more

A nice Italian restaurant located in the Princeton downtown area. On a Friday evening, the area was already packed so we had a wait. They told us they do not do call in reservations (especially for our party of 2.), so we put our name down. Pasta was al dente, and my tomato based sauce had some kick to it, which the waiter was kind to bring red pepper flakes. It is on the pricier side, but not surprising based off the area. This spot feels homey and elegant at the same time! I've been here multiple times when I'm in the mood for wood fired pizza! Ambiance: modern yet rustic decor! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. My family and I came to Princeton for lunch on a snowy day. The restaurant we were targeting didn't work out and decided to go to Teresa's Pizza and Wine Bar. We were glad we did. This was the perfect spot for a family lunch. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, creating an inviting atmosphere for a relaxed meal on a snowy day. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and both were absolutely outstanding. My daughter ordered the meatball and it was equally as good. The mushroom pizza had a rich, earthy flavor, with fresh mushrooms, perfectly melted cheese, and a delightful crust that struck the right balance between crispy and chewy. Add little more cheese and hot pepper flakes, you will have a very good bite. The pepperoni pizza was just as impressive--loaded with pepperoni that had a great smoky flavor, complemented by a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Great food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere make this a must-visit for pizza lovers in Princeton. We will definitely be back for sure. read more

An absolute gem in the center of downtown Princeton. Absolutely fresh pasta and pizzas here, great salads, a fantastic selection of wines and beer! We go here all the time when we visit Princeton, such a fun place! You'll walk in and you will just love the ambiance, the big beautiful selection of wines It's also right in the heart of town across from the Nassau Inn and also across the street from the Hulfish parking lot. Had a perfect experience here, really fun to split the things on their menu! For an appetizer we split their Quattro Formaggio pizza! Oh my God, mozzarella, fontina, herb, ricotta, Gorgonzola, hazelnuts, and topped with hot honey! Wow! It's more of a personal pizza size so fear or not if you want to split it with somebody as an appetizer! Not sure if there is anything better you could have for an app! The hot honey really pushed me over the top, put me right in heaven! Next up came the chicken milanese! We split this too! This came with two very large, lightly fried chicken cutlets! I usually do not order fried food, but this was so lightly fried. It came with arugula, mozzarella, red onions, cherry tomatoes, with a balsamic glaze on top! I loved this dish. It was also quite filling and really hit the spot! Finally came our main course which we also split. Drumroll for this one! The gnocchi eggplant, wow what a must order!!! Gotta say this really put me over the top and we thought it was just like when we were in Sorrento, Italy! Same flavor absolutely delicious order this one without a doubt! Another vegetarian dish by the way! I'm not a vegetarian, but they have lots of choices here!! I can't recommend this place high enough if you're looking for a great spot right in the center of town that has it all! Never been let down at Teresa's over the past 15 years. They have the cutest outdoor seating in Princeton and the food is phenomenal. Service is usually quick and friendly. The Balsamico pasta dish is my go-to, but the specials are always great. We came here on Christmas Eve and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was nice but he was moving around so much it made us feel a little rushed as he was a bit impatient when we were ordering. He told us the specials and I ordered their special pizza, the pizza Bianca. This was phenomenal! It was a classic cheese pizza topped with soaked eggplant in milk and then fried, dollops of ricotta, Calabrian chili oil and hot honey. I normally don't order vegetarian meals too often but I would order this everywhere if it was offered. 10/10! Lumanche alle vodka: 7/10, pasta was undercooked and it didn't have the creaminess I was looking for like I've had before. Pancini: 5/10, it wasn't horrible but there was a weird aftertaste to the sauce that I don't know how to describe. The scallops were nice but the sauce ruined the pasta for me. I wouldn't order this again. Tiramisu: 9/10, it was really good! The filling was delicious and creamy. The marscapone flavor shined through. The cake could be a bit firmer it was a bit too soggy for me. I need to mention that we ordered a gluten free pasta as a child in our party had a gluten allergy and unfortunately he did come in contact with gluten in his food. The manager did apologize and told us that it was cooked with separate water and that his chef took special precautions. He comped us for the meal but I would just be cautious about ordering gluten free here if you have a severe allergy. Thankfully he doesn't have a severe allergy so all was well :) read more

Unpretentious, classic pizza and pasta wine bar located in the heart of Princeton. My parents and I wanted a place with good, hearty food without being too fancy, and Teresa's was definitely it. Service was very quick, and there's plenty of seating in this restaurant. Pizza is made at the bar, was thin crust, and perfectly crispy. Pasta was cooked al dente, which I prefer as to not be overcooked, and the lumache vodka pasta was amazing! I love Teresa's! I will say, the last time I went the service was not great. Somehow no server was assigned to our table and we waited nearly half an hour simply for water. Once the wait staff realized the oversight they were more than attentive and even offered free dessert as an apology. In terms of the food, I got the chicken milanese last time which was so good! I have previously gotten the balsamico which is possibly my favorite pasta around! I have never been dissapointed by my food here. I got the flourless chocolate torte as dessert this past time and it was so rich and delicious. They have a selection of wines and other drink options to pick from as well. Their pizzas are around 10 inch pizzas and they are decent. I enjoyed their pasta bolognese more than the pizza. Heading to Princeton and wanted to try a place new to us. The cute vibe drew us in and we felt cozy in a corner tucked away from the busy bar. The menu was simply amazing - pizza,of course, pasta, chicken and more. The meatball appetizer had our table raving! A few people shared 'better than my grandmother's' and I had to agree. The wine, Prosecco and drink menu met the needs of every one at the table and the Montepulciano red was loved by many. I ordered a sausage pizza with vegan mozzarella, since it's never on the menu, and I LOVED every bite! Same with the Caesar salad. We waited well over 30 minutes on a busy Friday for a table for 3. Once seated our waitress was really nice and efficient. The food did come out fast. Anytime me and my husband wanna do something nice we say we're "celebrating our 15th anniversary" until the trip we're taking later this year that actually celebrates our 15th anniversary. Lest you think a wine bar isn't something nice, we had Taco Bell the night before so please let us enjoy this upgrade. I've seen this place so many times and it's always busy, cozy and the food looks delicious. Like you just wanna be there. We decided to do a late lunch which ended up being a 5pm dinner - no crowds, prime parking, pick of seats. My husband was disappointed we didn't get prime window seat in the square to people watch, but the alleyway seats proved just as interesting. Rundown: Pinot noir - delicious Allagash - always refreshing Meatballs - all mine Panzanella - bright, refreshing salad. We loved! Wild Ramps pizza - white, garlic, ramps, mushrooms YES! Spicy sausage pizza - the broccoli rabe was a nice touch $85 before tip and worth every penny Fat stuff: -waitress originally took us to high seats. My legs fall asleep in high chairs so I asked for low instead. I sat on booth side which was a balm to my pinched nerve and my boo sat in the chair. Yeah I'm sorry Caroline, how is this your favorite restaurant? Like I wasn't expecting much, but they could've at least tried. The reservation service was confusing at best and rather a pain. The bread to start was a confused arrangement of mediocre loaves and crackers in disguise, all with a below seasoned oil. And the food, well the flavor of that gnocchi was more one dimensional than most failed situationships. A sad attempt at alla Norma, I'll certainly be making it at home in the future. Not to mention, there is only one of anything on the menu. No matching chicken with your gnocchi, or pesto with your chicken. Thought this was Olive Garden? Think again. I didn't have the pizza, but I know Nomad is better. Lastly, it was rather cramped and loud, and the service from a vending machine would've been better, not to mention certainly faster. I shouldn't be so upset, but I just am. Have good Italian food in Princeton challenge level: impossible. read more

Another stellar meal at Teresa's, a true Princeton stalwart directly across from the Nassau Inn. As always the service shined with an ambiance that was active, enhancing the frenetic energy of the place crammed with what looked like a cash crop of prospective students and their parents. The Hogfish off the specials menu was outstanding although I'm deducting a star for the soup which was not on either menu but available if you ask and was not priced. For what was essentially a cup of chicken noodle soup, the charge was $16. The "Princeton Price" strikes again. Apparently, the poultry here is sourced from a long line of debutante cluckers or, the restaurant just wants to get ahead of the next meeting of the Federal Reserve. I'll remember to ask next time. Four solid stars that should have been five. read more

Wine tasting events review. I had been to Teresa's years ago and recall that I enjoyed a pizza with egg on it(maybe ramps too??) and my co-diners liked their selections also. Fast forward a decade and I've come back twice now for wine tasting events. And plan to attend more. The first one I attended was a tasting of mainly one specific winery in Italy. The daughters of the wineries founder made the presentation and kept the crowd well hydrated and informed. For the low cost of $25(no fees either!) guests tasted 5 wines and were provided a nice app. Pours were perfectly sized, and if interested you could possibly obtain more. The mistake we made at this first one was to wait until the end to order additional food(pizzas that we both liked!) The wines we tasted were available for purchase as well. We both enjoyed trying all of them, but the one we both ended up buying was a rose in its first bottling, conceived of by the daughters themselves. I look forward to opening it on a warm day next spring.... The most recent tasting was an array of wines that are made with the longest cultivated grape varieties in a Italy. The app this time was even better than the recent event. And we ordered our food to coincide with the last 3 pours of red wines. The tagliatelle bolognese went well as did the meatball app. Portions were decent too, I even had a doggie bag. This time we preferred the whites we had tried and bought one of each. Customer service also raises this mid 4 star review to a 5. Both times our servers were amazing and also very quick. This extends to management also, who graciously refunded our friends who had to cancel at the last moment. Who does that anymore? I think for the town of Princeton this is kind of a locals spot that is casual and upbeat with consistent food. I'll be back.... read more

On a trip to Princeton this place is a great stop. It was our first time in and the food was great. We went in the afternoon and we were seated right away. The food also came to us very quickly. For drinks we ordered from their selection of alcoholic beverages. The Cosmo Melograno was delicious. We did not order any appetizers. The selection is small with a few pastas, pizzas, and other dishes. We order Balsamico pasta and Lumache alla Vodka. The serving size was great and didn't have any to take to-go! There is not much street parking near the restaurant so you may need to park and walk. Overall great experience and would return. read more

Came here with some friends as we were all visiting Jersey for the holidays. I'd never been here, but the ratings looked solid and we needed to eat before a night at A&Bs (if you know, you know). Princeton as a whole was super packed over thanksgiving weekend, but thankfully Teresa's has a good waitlist system so we were able to get a table at a reasonable time by joining early, though we were definitely still starving by the time we sat down. Thankfully, the food and vibes were very good and were worth the wait! I got the margherita pizza, which was tasty and fresh. I'd only criticize the crust as I prefer a bit more char and crispness, but you don't always get that with neopolitan style so that's fine. The gnocchi was also yummy but again I think it could have been elevated if the texture was a bit more chewy. These were a tad on the mushy side. Both wines we had were really nice though, especially the orange wine, which I don't usually love. The vibe inside is super nice - I love the wine bottle wall and the strange art in the back. I also think the cartons of olive oil are kind of cool. Our table was also nice and properly spacious for a group of 6. Service was also attentive and fast. Overall, Teresa's has really nice ambiance and service, and pretty good food - though there is room for improvement there. 4/5 read more

I was trying to find a new place to eat, and was close to the Princeton area. Stumbled accidentally to this place, and was surprisingly satisfied with my meal, service and ambiance. Order a pitcher of Hugo Spritz, which was pretty refreshing and paired well with the other items we got. Recommend getting the grilled peach & burrata, both peach and burrata were fresh and complimented one another. Also get the eggplant rollatini, it came with some spaghetti as well so was good portion size and shareable. Though we got the mushroom pizza, the pizza was average nothing any different from other places. Overall a good experience, and recommend trying at least once. read more

Food: we had some really great dishes during our trip to Teresa's. The calamari was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. It was nice and tender, it rubbery. The Gorgonzola e pere salad was the best thing we tried! This is probably the best salad I've had. The dressing was creamy and tart,. And paired very well with the tangy Gorgonzola and sweet candied pecans. 10/10. The balsamico pasta was good and the chicken was cooked nicely. The penne pecorino left a bit to be desired. The penne was a bit overcooked and the dish had bay scallops which wasn't specified on the menu. The broth was good but was lacking a bit of flavor. Ambiance: the interior is beautiful and spacious. There is a really nice bar in the middle of the restaurant that connects to the pizza ovens. It's near to see the pizzas coming out. Service: our server (Isabella?) was so nice and helpful. She checked on us multiple times and brought a menu back when we decided we also wanted a salad Overall, pretty nice experience and we'll back to try the pizzas! read more
