It is like speaking to children when there is a problem, when we told them we were disappointed in my loved ones care (teeth not brushed, cold showers (a care staff told us the water temperature has been cold for days), talking meanly to them, loved one sat in feces and urine for hours and they lie and said that never happened. YES IT DID! We complained many times with no action and we have talked to other family members and they complain too. No action! UGH. Hire experience not children! It is expensive, there is a huge lack of leadership and issues with them just keep mounting and mounting. SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!!

My loved one was rarely bathed, was always wearing soiled undergarments and there was dried feces all over his sofa, carpet, toilet and bathroom floor. I usually found piles of soiled undergarments in his bathroom. He obviously never received assistance to clean himself. The smell was unbearable! I made the necessary arrangements to have him taken to the salon on sight, for haircuts, shaving and nails trimmed. I had to complain every week and send pictures of him to ever make this happen! The laundry is heaved into the closet or piled in the living room. I've shared pictures of his horrific conditions with the director every week! No one there cares! I've seen many residents being neglected, most recently a lady in a wheelchair begging for water for 20 minutes! They only want to rent apartments!

Not only is the facility clean and beautiful but every single person that works there is the best of the best...especially the nursing staff. They truly care and they truly put their heart into taking care of our loved ones. Both of my parents have stage 4 cancer along with other chronic conditions but they have thrived here because they get great care and all of their needs are met. The proximity to TGH is a blessing. Between the two of them, there are quite a few medical appointments -- but the Allegro driver takes care of transportation. There have been a few times that they needed around the clock care and/or emergency services and the team at Allegro took care of everything or made care plans -- the communication is always outstanding and transparent. It is wonderful to know that you can trust them. I can't begin to express how thankful I am for the peace of mind they have given me and I have knowing that there is a great community of caring staff, a great group of other residents and so many activities and outings. Because of them, I get to spend precious time with my parents... instead of trying to be their caregiver.

The nurse to patient ratio is below standards many of the CNA's and help speak Spanish only! Which I have a problem with the requirement should be bilingual. The nicest part of this facility is the lobby once you go through the lobby doors it's a different story. Also, my mom was supposed to have adequate physical therapy in order to go home independently however that did not happen and I applied for an appeal which was denied because the facility went from one day saying she needed more time to the next day saying she would be fine to go home and that she had met her plateau. Obviously there was a change in charting. Due to the pompous director of physical therapy who really lacked compassion. Doctors never returned calls, and staff pushed hospice care simply because they refused to assist with basic hygiene. Neglect & Safety Concerns: We discovered an aide with second degree felony battery charges working there. I've witnessed elderly residents left unattended on the floor in lobby and their rooms with door open, staff nowhere. After hurricanes, residents slept together on blow-up mattresses in area at another substandard facility--while paying full prices. Unacceptable Conditions: The food is worse than prison meals--cheap, processed, and nutritionally void. Management prioritizes profit over care. When confronted, they deflect instead of fixing problems. We paid $4,800/month for neglect and trauma. Do not be fooled by the building's appearance--this is a facility where dignity is stripped away, and suffering is ignored. If you love your family, look elsewhere.

My mom has lived at Consuelo's almost one year now. It was a difficult decision to place my mom in…read morean ALF, she had been living with me for 2.5 years and the level of care she needed had gotten to be more than I was equipped to give. But I have never regretted moving her to Consuelo's for one minute. She is smiling and happy every time I visit. I used to think she was like that because I was visiting her until someone visiting another resident said to me "I just love your mother, she is always smiling." That tells me how well she is cared for. Yes she gets her basic needs met but at this ALF the owners and staff treat her and me ad well like family. I can see they genuinely care about my mom. I visit her almost every day and I always feel welcome. The owners encourage me to have other friends and family visit mom there as well. The residents and the home are always clean no matter what time of day I visit. Three of us visited mom on Thanksgiving and the owner welcomed us to stay as long as we wanted and even took pictures for us. She even invited us to have dinner with mom. There is one more thing I must write in this review about the owner herself, she looks after my mom as if she would her own mom. She has gotten my mom services mom needed a long time ago but the place where my mom went to daycare before I moved her to Consueko's never recommended therapy for my mom. The owner at Consuelo's has gotten my mom both speech therapy and physical therapy.
