Soo good! Loved the combo & beef tibs!! Good service, delicious food--really loved the sauce that came with the beef tibs. :) can't wait to back soon!!

Our vegetarian dish included a sampler of all of this

We stumbled upon this place driving around looking for something that called to us, and wow was I glad this is where we stopped. The employees were so friendly. There's no paper menus but the QR code clearly defines each dish. We got the vegetarian platter which came with a piece of injera for each of us, a glass bottle of water (no ice) with 2 cups, no utensils (per norm) and when I asked about each dish the super friendly guy there explained each. The cook was really cool too. The bathroom was tiny, clean, and I the peeks I got of the kitchen showed a clean environment. The complexities and layers of flavor in each dish was just lovely. You get everything in the menu I screen shotted for the largest veggie dish for $25 - which is a SUPER reasonable deal and fed us both with a snack for later, not a large amount of leftovers but a good snack. I had no clue collard & spinach went so well together but I'd eat Gomen at home all the time if I knew how to make it. The Shiro was very much a hummus reminiscent dip but with a very different flavor. My least fave was the Key Sir and that's just a personal beet thing but we still smashed it. We also had coffee which was strong and dark and delicious.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food! I originally had planned to go to a different spot, but they were temporarily closed so I ended up deciding on here, and to my surprise they were actually next door restaurants. I was shocked at how many Ethiopian restaurants there are in one little cluster in Northgate. The ahadu combo was recommended to us which was great because we got a mix of both meat and veggie. A couple of the meat sides were spicy and everything had great flavor. The service was nice and helpful and the restaurant was comfortable. Also there are parking spots in front of the restaurant!

north seattle has a big ethiopian popular and we're so lucky to have a couple of ethiopian restaurants in proximity to the university! they were so accommodating, friendly, and overall helpful during our entire dine in experience. veggie combo 4.5/5: i preferred some dishes more than others but that's the point of the combo plates. SO flavorful and i loved the variety! they also offered us extra injera if we needed any. i shared this combo with one other person and l the portions were super generous so we ended up having leftovers

The food was fantastic but ambience and service was mediocre. This was the first time we tried ethiopian for and loved it! We ordered the meat combination. Flavors were fantastic; tart crepe with spicy meat and veggies. Very unique and flavorful. Service was slow; it took them quite a while to bring food. They mixed up our order once, but eventually brought the right food and since it tasted so good we overall had a good experience.

There's a lot of Ethiopian restaurants in this one block and since I've been to all of them, I can tell you this place is the best for meat. It makes sense because I think this place doubles as a butchery and know the owner next door is vegetarian. The items on the meat combo are some of the best ways you'll get served beef. The flavors really penetrate to the center of every chunk. However, jebena does better on the non meat dishes and their prices are quite a bit cheaper for the combo plates ($23 vs $35). Either way you can't go wrong but jebena is easier for to go to frequently just because of price. If I'm really in the mood for just big plates of meat then I'll come here and order the meat combo.

This is owner. She is awesome.

Delicious, healthy, well priced... wow. We stumbled upon this place and we love it. The service is great.

Amazing Geta Weta tibs with Awaze. But turns out I like mitmita (spicy powder) more :)

And, another $5 for gluten free bread (we never asked for gluten free, and the menu says that bread is included). When we asked about the $10 extra charge that we didn't plan on, they said that they ran out of regular bread and had to give us gluten free. And the $35 instead of $30 was because they have a new menu coming out with the higher price, but "its not yet printed." This is misrepresentation and illegal. They were dishonest. They never told us about the price change in the beginning, when we were ordering. When we wanted them make it right and remove the $10 extra charge, they wouldn't. They just said its now on the "new" menu, which is "not yet printed." A bunch of BS in my opinion. The combo came with a beautiful spread of veggies--cabbage, greens, split peas, lentils, and beets--along with the beef wat I selected as my meat. One of the best parts? They offer gluten-free injera! That made the whole experience even better. The price itself was very fair for the amount of food you get, but like most delivery apps, the UberEats fees made the total much higher than expected. Still, the quality and flavor made it worth it. I'd love to visit Adey in person to get the full experience and ambiance when I'm here again! The service was a little slow, but again, it was busy and there were only two people taking orders and serving. With this in mind, our food came out relatively fast. The bathroom area was also a little neglected during this busy rush with none of the sinks having paper towels, so I had to use napkins at the table to dry my hands while waiting for our food. I got an Ethiopian beer, the Zagol combo, and the lamb yebeg tibs. Everything was flavorful and paired well with the injera. The portions were pretty generous. Our meal came with 3 side injera on top of the injera plating all the veggies and meat. Between two people, we had leftovers, but a lot of it is a the injera used for plating. I wish the zagol combo had one more meat option in it, but the addition of the lamb dish was perfect. Definitely try the lamb yebeg tips because it was my favorite out of all, and we got it spicy. There's also a meat combo option on the menu as well if more meat is wanted. The beer is light and paired well with the bold flavors of these dishes. Overall I would come back again. They remind an OG steward in a building that incidentally looks like a family house with an interior decorated with Ethiopian art. With much competition nearby, Meskel was sadly quiet on the day we went. The proprietor was nonetheless enthusiastic with new customers to her restaurant. Per her recommendation, we ordered their popular items listed at the top of their food menu. Side note: They do not offer a meat combo, unlike many other Ethiopian restaurants. The Food: Their injera (spongy bread) is impeccable with a potent sourdough taste. Despite having had many injera in the past, theirs stood out in this regard and is incredibly flavorful as is. Unfortunately, if one doesn't like sourdough bread, this could be problematic. Each entrée includes a full-size piece of injera. BBQ Special, $28.50 - 4.5 Stars Aromatic berbere-infused steak is slow cooked and paired with peppers and onions. This dish is served in a ceramic warmer with a small piece of charcoal underneath. Hubby said he liked this better than the typical meat combo. Vegetable Combination, $25 - 4 Stars The photo's veggie combo included veggies that are served with the BBQ Special, possibly just the salad, not sure. This combo with eight variants is modest compared to other restaurants both in terms of variants and portions of each. I commonly see ten variants in the veggie combo with bigger portions for each. Looking at older posted photos, the original portions are indeed bigger. I'll chalk it off to inflation. While the flavors of each are good, overall, this combo did not compare as well as others I have had.
