Got the couple's massage and sauna special. It was nice, but fell short in many areas. First, we first tried to schedule it a few days in advance, but they could not fit us in. Don't go unless you plan it weeks in advance. Also, they asked us to show up early for paperwork, but then we still waited 25minutes after our appointment time before we were seen. We both asked for deep massages, but they insisted we should only get a firm. After a few minutes I asked them to go deeper, but my request was ignored. After they were done, I didn't feel any difference. One masseuse was a bit snippy, too. Next, their towels had the faint but distinct smell of rotten rags. Not one or two of them, all the towels. I could smell it on my skin and had to go home and shower afterwards. Wash the towels with bleach or in a sanitize cycle. Finally, the receptionist had told me that the sauna had steam, but it was a dry sauna. Big difference and I did not appreciate the miscue. read more

Tried this place out with a Groupon and ended up being a nice place. Enjoy the added option of a sauna available too. They offer monthly plans too and staff is very friendly. Great relaxing massage and at a reasonable price. They also offer drop in monthly or a punch card for just sauna too. I generally get a massage once a month. Marilyn is my therapist and has quite a bit of knowledge of human anatomy. I suffer from sciatica and marilyn has helped ease my discomfort. Start to finish, we had a terrific experience. We had concurrent massages, got appointments last minute on a trip to Reno. The receptionist and both therapists were delightful - super friendly and easy to work with. The place was clean, tables comfortable, nice linens. Rooms were roomy and ambiance all around was good. I got a Groupon for myself and one for my husband for our anniversary for a 90 minute massage and a 30 minute sauna. They were able to schedule us both at the same time. The reception area looks like an upscale salon. The massage rooms are nicely decorated, as well. The effect is that of an island getaway. I had Terrance and asked for a firm to deep massage. He had the perfect touch, getting deep into some very tight back and shoulder areas. My husband had someone whose name escapes me (sorry). He has had back surgery and she was able to get in and open up some nerves to his leg that had been giving him trouble. His leg feels much better today. We both sat in the sauna for 30 minutes afterwards and we both said, "Ahhh!" after the whole experience. We'll both be back! read more

Even though I leave about 25 minutes away, I still go to Ahh Massage. I love the therapists there and the staff is amazing about getting me in. I became a member a few months ago and while all 3 therapist I have seen have been great I have booked with Michelle the last few times and she is amazing. You can tell that she genuinely cared for my well being and asked about any specific areas that were bothering me; I have dealt with back and neck problems for a while and she was able to make me feel relaxed as she did the massage. She explained everything as she went along and this made me feel very comfortable. Needless to say I will be back as often as I can to see her. Top notch service from everyone involved there. The massage I had by Jacob was horrible. He didn't go over the worksheet (that they specifically told me not too fill out because he would). I told him a few things that were bothering me but he paid little attention to them. I asked to end my massage short. I didn't want to be rude but it wss that bad. He basically either applied way too much pressure and when asked to let up, he was just rubbing lotion on me. There was no medium. I contemplated talking through the massage and telling him where to go and how much pressure to use but it just wasn't what I wanted to do. (I left those boys/days in high school). We bought a package with a sauna combo. The sauna is built for small people. My husband (6'3" and 220) almost broke the boards on the bottom of the sauna that you walk on. There is a car stereo set up in the sauna so you can only listen to am/fm music or talk stations. If you stand up or lean forward the back boards of the sauna fall toward you. It's flimsy but probably works well for small sized people. Also, I would add warm towels and cleaning the lotion off the customers. Neither my husband or myself got the lotion wiped off of us. It wasn't offered to us. I did ask for one after we paid and went to the restroom and wiped myself down, though. It was my birthday and the massage sucked so please don't book this place for an important date..... Maybe try it first. read more

The receptionist was extremely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. We arrived late due to traffic and she was basically lecturing us and told us that if this happened at a doctor's office they would have turned us away already. She made us EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE and ruined the mood because this should be a place to relax. When asked if there is anything she can do to help us out, she said that WE ARE ALREADY GETTING A DEAL FROM GROUPON WHICH MAKES ME FEEL THAT WE DONT DESERVE THE SAME TREATMENT AS PAYING CUSTOMERS. the massage itself is okay and the therapists were nice and accomodating but frankly, there are better massage places out there, just PUT YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE where there is great customer service. read more

As problems arose, management ceased to exist or seemed remissed. I could distinctly tell the helpful personell working was stressed or rushed by a careless, neglectful managers. Such a shame because you can tell the level of frustration with the younger ladies and wanted to help them. Tried the Groupon for myself and the loved one. The massage therapist was good, hit all the right spots I would say. But overall you could clearly see the management went with the cheaper side of things (i.e. linens). Went to get a couple massage with my husband. My massage therapist specifically worked on my neck and shoulder areas (they are usually very tight due to work), and I felt amazing afterwards! I'm currently tight up with other massage place but I'll definitely switch my monthly service to Ahhh Massage after my current contract is due. Loved that I was able to book within a 24 hour window. Called on a Wednesday, was getting a massage on a Thursday. I had Terrance and he was great! Really liked that he didn't want to make small talk the entire time. The only questions he asked me while I was getting my treatment were if the pressure was OK and if I was comfortable (PERFECT in my book!). I am very easy to please when it comes to massage therapy. But this by far was the worst experience I have ever had at a business where I was paying . I purchased the couples massage. The receptionist went out of her way to argue with my girlfriend and ruined the whole vibe of the massage. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time. At the end of my massage i did not feel like a guest I felt like customer. The receptionist was most unhelpful and had a very nasty attitude . It was extremely unprofessional. Amanda was wonderful. She used perfect pressure on me. I always dread going to a new massage therapist because they always push too hard, even after I tell them to lighten up. I had 30 minutes in the sauna as well. I was so relaxed when I left. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that I thought the room didn't lend itself to relaxing. The front desk receptionist was polite and nice even though she had a few clients waiting and several phone calls. Alex gave me the massage and was great. I was warm and comfortable the entire time. Total disappointment. My husband wanted to kick off our vacation with a romantic couples massage so he bought a groupon for an hour couples massage plus 30-min infrared sauna. When we called to make the appointment he even asked about the sauna and had a brief conversation with the receptionist. When we arrived we were informed that the masseurs were running about 10 minutes behind. Not such a big deal. Then, it sounded like the couple ahead of us had booked their appt to use the infrared sauna, too, but it had just been turned on and it was going to take a while before it would be ready. The receptionist apologized and said the therapist should have asked before their treatment. I didn't say anything about us using it because I heard the receptionist say it had just been turned on... after a mediocre massage where the therapist barely addressed the areas I told her I wanted to get the most attention, we got dressed and were met to be escorted out. When we asked about the sauna the girls said we weren't scheduled for that and they hadn't heard of that as part of the groupon deal. And, as with the people before us, the sauna wouldn't be ready for a while. We barely got an apology and left with minimal acknowledgement from the two ladies at the front desk. I've gone to Ahhh! Massage several times over the last two years. I typically have a very pleasant experience with very few to no problems. This time, I was turned away after scheduling an appointment for my fiancee and I in advance (and I pre-paid). I have epilepsy, and it is controlled with medication. My doctor recommended massage as a stress-relief treatment. I offered to sign a liability form or whatever form the therapist and manager felt comfortable with. They said they would not give me a massage, even though I've gotten massages elsewhere since being diagnosed. The therapist and manager were rude and did not listen to any of my explanations of my condition and requests of my doctor. No where on their website does it say that they do not massage clients with epilepsy. They treated me as if I was a problem rather than a person. I would never put any of them in harm's way, I was simply trying to follow my doctor's orders. I'm very disappointed and do not appreciate the discrimination, especially after I offered to take any and all liability off them. I regretfully will not be returning to Ahhh! Massage for my doctor-recommended massages and I am hurt by how I was treated (or, not treated, rather). read more

I bought my daughter a gift certificate for her birthday while I was in Sparks visiting her . I got her the sup-tropical treatment . Which she was very excited about . She called made her appointment for Sunday at 4:30 . She arrived at 4:15 to fill out her paperwork, since she was a first time client , they had her sitting in the waiting area until 5:00 . Finally got her back to the room and told her undress , then the masseuse left the room " cause nature calls " for 15 more minutes. They didn't even start her treatment until 45 minutes into her appointment time . They didn't do the hot towels as described, she told me they just started scrubbing her body no massaging involved. They pulled the end of her hair for her scalp massage and didn't even massage her scalp . She described to me as if a bad date got his fingers stuck in your hair . And they didn't even touch her her feet as described for this treatment. All to be done 6:00 . So she lost 45 minutes of this 90 minute treatment package I bought for her birthday and only received half of the services she was suppose to get . And to top it all off , she makes the box to talk to her as needed and the lady she got not only talked to her the whole time , but also mentioned the underwear she had on , very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The therapist have changed a little as well they have hired on some great new one! But my favorites are still Liz, Danielle, Romona,Terrance, and Julio!
