As a poke lover, they really do a great job with their marinade options and fresh fish choices. You can choose pre-marinated fish or make your own marinade. I would give this location 5 stars alone for their unagi. I had a piece on the side and it was just like butter. Worth the extra $1.50. I personally made a garlic shoyu marinade and it was perfect on my salmon. They had a great variety of options for toppings too! My husband enjoyed his mixture too, and specifically we both enjoyed his spicy salmon. The only downside was the white rice was a little over cooked but it didn't really matter with everything on top of it. We did end our meal with splitting their macaron with green tea ice cream. You could tell the macaron wasn't fresh, which shouldn't be expected from a frozen macaron anyway, however, the green tea ice cream was pretty good. Hit the spot for a sweet treat! If you need a quick meal and do not want the Dave's Hot Chicken, Applebee's or Chili's that are in the same shopping center, then this is an alright choice. I did not have an issue with the fish or toppings, but the taste overall is mid. I felt like the brown rice I cook at home tasted better than the one I got tbh. My portion was good, but my boyfriend and I were surprised his was so small in comparison to mine when we got the same priced item. Here is my review. Price was average for a 3 item poke plate $18 bucks but to have the smallest Ice cream scooper in the world to which your scooping my poke from is just crazy. There appeared to only be one person working and she was grilling some sort of chicken for some yahoo glued to his phone while simultaneously making bowls for us. Multitasking at its best, people. Yours truly opted for the regular bowl (2 proteins) and chose octopus and "Tuna Luau." The latter is a marinated tuna mixed with onion and avocado and ends up being a smart choice because as a topping, avocado sets you back and extra $1.50 but if you get the Tuna Luau, it's already mixed in at no extra charge. She stacked each bowl so high that it ended up being what I would've thought the larger bowl would've been in terms of quantity. We ordered to-go, so she ended up putting the entire bowl inside a clear plastic clamshell because ain't nobody fitting a lid atop that mountain of sea creatures and accoutrement. I got the large poke bowl with half brown rice and half green salad, a scoop of tuna luau, blazing salmon and tuna. They'll even offer up samples if you want to try something first. My husband and I used to come here at least once a week but in the last month or so it seems to have changed for the worst. We used to get a scoop of heat of the veggies that we wanted and last time we were there I got edamame a pinch of cilantro and maybe four chunks of pineapple. When you don't like all the toppings and only get 4 that leaves you with a pretty pitiful plate. They also now charge for an egg and any extra scoops of the toppings. Not horrible but I won't be going back. Wasn't worth the $70 lunch when my favorite sushi place costs the same for better quality and flavor. The fish wasn't fishy, and I could've ordered wrong with my toppings and sauces. The chicken teriyaki also wasn't good and that was my fallback if I didn't like my poke bowl, the chicken tasted like a lower quality cut and the flavor of the sauce didn't mask it enough.
