There were people coughing, talking to themselves wandering through every aisle, which made me feel uneasy and constantly looking over my shoulder. I originally came to exchange an item from a different location because I thought this store might have a better selection, but that wasn't the case. There is also what looks like a homeless encampment along the street side of the store. Inside, there were people hanging out at the dining tables (for sale), which made it hard for actual shoppers to move around. I even saw at least two people stuffing items into duffle bags. The exchange process was quick and easy, and the staff handled that part well. However, the store really needs some type of security at the door to better manage who comes in and prevent the issues happening inside.

I really used to love this place when I first discovered it. Everything was reasonably priced and a…read moredeal was always one aisle away. Recently things have changed. The prices are CRAZY high for a thrift store. I understand they operate trucks and a brick and mortar building but for them to be charging nearly retail prices for used clothes and items they got AT NO COST is just insane. Parking is usually packed and you may end up parking on the streets of the local neighborhood. However if you have donations I'd drop them off at the door THEN find parking. There are often 3-5 tag colors for sale. However most of the items you select will conveniently be a label color off sale. The workers must have paper cuts from as often as they change the tag colors. Come expecting to spend at least an hour if you're on the hunt for something specific. They often have a good variety of purses and shoes. I mainly purchase small home decor items, workout clothes and furniture. I found a gigantic lightweight canvas in the art section that I just love. And I'm constantly checking the vinyl section for gems, all of which are typically $3 or less each. Take a second to view the jewelry counter, you may find some nice earrings behind the glass or costume jewelry hanging up. All the "good stuff" is located behind the counter. That includes items like video game consoles, "luxury" bags, sealed items, cameras and lenses, smaller electronics, instruments, etc. Apparently they're open on Sundays now which is new and still pretty calm since I don't think many people know about it. A lot of the workers are mainly Spanish speaking so do not be offended if they don't answer you right away, they will quickly locate someone bilingual to help. If you can take your time you'll find some good stuff, however with the rising prices the deals are better some days than others. I would give them 3 stars but the prices lately are just brutal.

North Hollywood, CA…read more Big, spacious thrift store North Hollywood. My friend wanted to thrift, so we came here. Parking is in the back - the street is narrow and spots are limited, especially on Wednesdays because they have a good deal, 25% off from 8am-2pm. Store has plenty of rows of clothes, plus a separate kids' section. I found a nice Dooney and Burke purse for gifting, a new throw pillow cover, and some dress pants. Prices are great for most items, though I did see a few pieces priced over $100 plus because of the label. Paying in cash is better since they charge 4% fee for card payments. which my cashier didn't mention, I could have saved more. A good place for thrifting, just have the patience to check all of them.

It's a very large warehouse style structure, filled to the rafters with all kinds of everything. Plus, as stated, they have really great prices on their items. The main thing this thrift store focuses on is clothing. They have tons and tons of it. If you're looking for anything for a man, woman, child, you can probably find it here. They have suits, they have shirts, they have pants, they have dresses, plus they have tons of shoes. Some of the stuff you will find here is really not only on the scale of luxury, but truly unique. That's what I really like about this place, a lot of the stuff you can find here is really unique items, the kind you may not even know that you want until you see it. They also have other things for sale. They have a lot of electronic items, furniture, household items, and a little bit of everything else. You truly never know what you're going to find. That's probably the greatest thing about going to the shop. In terms of parking, if you can, I suggest you park in front of this business, on the street. That's the easiest way to get in the front door. If you can't do that, you'll need to park in their back parking lot. From there, you'll need to walk a fair distance to get up to the front of the store, past all of their warehousing and donation centers where you will pass by and tons and tons of stuff that they've acquired and they're gonna put up for sale. Thus, if you want to see a real unique collection of a whole lot of stuff, then park in their back parking lot, because as you walked to the front of the building what you will see will be very revealing. Overall, this is a very fun thrift store to go to. You truly never know what you're going to find. And, they have a lot of great stuff for very reasonable prices.

Staff looked at me weird, like I was going to steal stuff. Some staff even followed me around, and they thought I did not notice, but I did. Can't even look at their stuff without feeling uneasy, and then they question you, which makes no sense. Like, why do you need to talk? I just want to look around and see if I find anything. Asking me what I was looking for, like, Idk, is a thrift store; you find and buy deals. No one goes into a thrift store knowing what they want; they're just shopping. The worst part is that this place is so unorganized anyways; it literally looks like you're shopping at someone's hoarded house. Stuff is everywhere, and items with pieces have something missing. So much potential here, but such bad service is a shame. Don't recommend anyone come here. Ever!

Okay, I've had some time to chill out and I think I can more eloquently express my issue with this…read moreplace, and why I will never, ever go back. First, they claim this is a boutique, yet I've found more fast fashion here than anything else, including old Forever 21. The clothing is not curated whatsoever, or really even organized more than the basic long sleeves together, pants together, etc. Boutiques curate their clothing, display and merchandise it, and usually pay for their clothing (though not in all cases). This place is a small thrift store, but filled with women from a local church who give church ladies the reputation we all know about. Judgy, holier-than-thou, etc. I was here when they got a large donation - yes, donation - from the Johnny Carson Estate, including a ton of his wife's clothing. The pieces were vintage and in great shape, and all designer. That's awesome, good for them! Why did they fill the store with only those items, and attempt to sell them at the highest possible point in the range of their retail value? Because typically their clothing is actually pretty reasonable, this was a super surprise to myself and MULTIPLE other people in the store, all of whom were commenting on it. When I asked what was going on and if someone had lost their mind pricing items in a thrift store at $2k plus, a woman who didn't work there started attempting to belittle me for 'not knowing fabric' and not knowing the value of things. Lady, I worked in a wardrobe department for years, and resell high end vintage clothing. Further, even if I didn't, who on earth speaks to a stranger that way, and especially in a thrift store? Belittling people for not having money or knowing designer clothing is bad enough, but doing so in a store that is supposed to be for those people to be able to cloth themselves is just plain disgusting behavior. The woman in question was absolutely friends with all the women working there, and I already know that birds of a feather, so I won't be coming back to this place as I don't want to ever support women who behave like this. When I called the woman out for her behavior, she denied it, then said 'this conversation is over' because that's what narcissists do when they can't defend their actions. That woman was a disgusting jerk, and she gives that place a bad name - a name I believe it deserves, unfortunately. Avoid if possible!

Consumers in any given community are constantly encouraged to shop local in order to help the…read moresurrounding economy and the actual business owners whom are often residents, themselves. It is by far a better choice than the mega retailers. But here is an even more amazing concept: when the local business in question that is helped by the community also helps the community in turn and/or nonprofits. Now, THAT is the most splendid symbiotic relationship that could ever be conceived! This is exactly what is happening at Burbank's very own Studio Hope. Allow me to explain... Studio Hope is a combination thrift store/vintage store/antique store/gift shop at the Hollywood Way/Clark intersection not far from the Magnolia Park area of Burbank where these stores are a dime a dozen. However, Studio Hope stands out not only because it is located a few blocks away; but also because it is a business created to 'do good'. Owned and operated by Lori and Dean, a husband-and-wife team both suffering with kidney/renal issues; this dynamic duo initially founded (1) a kidney nonprofit that helps adults/families/children suffering from renal conditions and (2) an animal nonprofit to help orphaned pets find forever homes. In turn, they founded Studio Hope which rather than operate for a profit; revenues help fund the two non-profits. So, if you shop at Studio Hope you are supporting charities versus a billion-dollar company AND the local economy! The local buzz has been raving about Studio Hope but I wasn't able to check them out until the end of 2025 when bringing them my end-of-year donations (they accept donations and offer a receipt for your tax deductions). I was absolutely enthralled the moment I walked into the shop with its vintage/antique vibe and art collective. This place is less thrift store and more vintage - in the best way possible. Studio Hope offers amazing clothing (some modern and the BEST vintage finds!), purses, jewelry, shoes, housewares and furniture, trinkets, art, etc. Studio Hope isn't just a store: it is an experience and is heaven for lovers of all things vintage and antique. You would expect that these top-tier wares being sold at Studio Hope would fetch a pretty penny due to their own worth alone plus needing to be relatively comparative to competitors. Wrong! I was shocked to find some crush-worthy vintage at affordable prices and I am poor so my judgement can be trusted! Dean and Lori's Studio Hope does not screw patrons over. During my visit in which I purchased an adorable enamel ice cream cone pin; I successfully made a clothing donation and was thanked profusely while also being introduced to Lori. Lori is a doll: friendly, inclusive, conversational, humble and obviously appreciates each and every customer. This truly 'sells' the business even more making one want to return to Studio Hope. Studio Hope is also 'cool' as they work with the local film studios and host events like "Bridgerton" viewing parties. They also utilize their store for work with their charities such as the 'prom' they put on for the teens part of their kidney nonprofit allowing them to choose among the store's gowns. Studio Hope is truly compassionate. My only complaint is that it is street-meter parking only which is a bit annoying when schlepping donations and unable to catch a close meter but Studio Hope is worth contending with this 'grievance'. If you love vintage/antiques AND want to feel good about where your dollar ends up then Studio Hope is for you and an absolute must-visit! Make sure to hi to Lori!
