Stay away! Terrible in every area; competence and customer service. Plus they do work without permits.

I recently bought a foreclosure that likely needs a new a/c. I called about getting an estimate, but they would not come out unless I committed to paying a $95 service fee. $95 just to get an estimate seems kind of steep to me. It seems like this page brims with lusty complaints, flawed service, disappointed customers and tactless care. I hate to pile on but my experience with Air Around the Clock was maddening and its attitude was shameful. Air Around the Clock charged me to repair a clogged drain on June 24, 2016. Fewer than 60 days later, on Saturday August 13th, while the repair was clearly in the guarantee period, the drain clogged again. Although the company represents itself as "around the clock," it insisted on charging me $175 for a weekend call. Over a barrel, I had no choice. When the technician arrived, he was nasty, angry and discourteous. When I asked several questions, he inexplicably stomped out, shirking his responsibility to repair the A/C and leaving my wife and me with an inoperative air conditioner for much of the weekend. On Monday, I followed up with the office and a fellow who represented himself as a member of the management team said the technician "must have had a bad day." He took no responsibility for the technician's unprofessionalism and his refusal to do the job. Rather than respond in a soft, apologizing and accommodating tone, this fellow had the gall to ask me for a credit card to pay for a service that was never performed. Hearing this, I was speechless and it led to a slight pause on the phone. After a couple seconds and before I can respond, he boldly and unabashedly added, "End of conversation" and hung up. I think he and the technician need some time in finishing school! I feel bad for Joe Rose. Through no fault of his own, his genuine sounding endorsements, spewed in halted breath on-air, ring hollow. It's too bad. Through his years in the marketplace, Joe has diligently built listener capital and customer credibility. From the manager in the office to the technician sent to my home, Air Around the Clock's harshness and phantom charge stuck to my ribs. I would think twice before using these folks. read more

I called to make an appointment, told them my association was coordinating a roofing company to be there at the same time to address a leak. The appointment was "first on the list" today, the roofer was coming at 9:00 am... I get a call at 8:30 from Air Around the Clock indicating they would be onsite between 4 and 7 pm. They can take an appointment, they just can't keep the appointment... my recommendation: find another company. read more

I have just had Air Around The Clock come out to check my ac unit because it was freezing up. Joe The Supervisor was amazing. It took him a total of 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and about 20 minutes to fix the problem. I would recommend them to anyone. He was so good that he was able to make the ac system work better now. read more

Our A/C unit stopped working. We called them for repair being hesitant about their former reviews. Not knowing anything about an A/C unit, we easily could have been scammed. The tech had it up and running within 20min and it only cost us $125 including travel fees and taxes! They will definitely be our choice moving forward! read more

I used Air Around the Clock to install my a/c in my closet instead of my attic in Lake Worth. My neighbor used them and they were the best quote I got out of three estimates. They installed the a/c on a Saturday. I had an issue and the owner came out the following Saturday (my day off) and had all of my concerns addressed, one of which pertained to the original install and technically wasn't their fault. NO ATTITUDE. I am EXTREMELY pleased. My experience in south Florida is once they charge you and leave, they never come back or if they do, they are hostile. This company was the exact opposite. VERY HAPPY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Had a service tech come out a year ago for regular service and told us our handler was old but our condenser was new. Due to the freon change would have to replace both units not just the handler when it went. A year later we started having problems with the a/c we called them back and a different service tech said we could just replace the handler not both. He replaced a part, charged us $300 and said if we decided to replace the handler we could use that money towards it. A few days later the same problem was occurring and we felt uncomfortable with the conflicting information from the tech so we called the office and spoke to the service manager Doug. Doug said in fact the serial on the condenser was old in addition to the handler being old so we should just replace both. I went home and checked the manufacturers website with our serial and the unit was only 2 years old. I called back and he agreed with me that it was only that old and that we could just replace the handler but then wouldn't agree with what his service tech said about using the $300 towards the new unit. I felt like I was giving them the benefit of the doubt every time and was the one checking on them not them checking on me. Not living up to what they said and being unwilling to even speak with the tech who promised the credit was quite unreasonable. Would certainly not recommend this company. read more

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY? I have been a customer for 15 plus years, in 2 different homes. I have always had their matinence contracts and bought my ac units from them. they were great until about 5 years ago and they just seem to be going downhill more and more. I dont know if they were sold or what happened but they are currently terrible. With their service contract you get 2 ac "check ups" a year. At my most recent check up the service man told me my ac unit was "struggling" and needed to be replaced. i had not had ANY problems with it, but he insisted it was "struggling". he tried to convince me he was correct by showing me that my temperrature was warmer than my thermostat was set at. When I told him I had just gotten home from work and had just turned the ac down he totally ignored me and again said I needed to replace it. I declined. A few weeks after my "check up" my AC started not cooling (gee what a coincidence considering it was working fine before). So i ended up having to get a new AC which i do believe I was overcharged for. while the unit was being installed they sent out ANOTHER person for a "free duct check" who wanted me to pay almost another $1000 to get my ducts cleaned. I declined. when the workers were done with the unit, they told me "by the way" my ductwork was rotting and I needed new insulation and they could do that for another $1500. I declined. immediately after the new unit was put in , I noticed some of the rooms in my home were not cooling. I called them and they said maybe the fam was not set high enough and they would send somone back out. Well what to you know NOW (again conviently) they told me my duct work was bad and it needed to be redone. When I pointed out that I hadn't had ANY issues with rooms not cooling off before they changed out the unit again I was totally ignored. I ended up having the duct work done b/c I felt like I had no other choice. But I do believe it is NOT a coincidence that every time they worked on my ac there were more and more problems. I honestly feel like they have become crooks who just want more and more $$$. I dont think it is a coincidence that my ac was fine and they just randomly started having issues after my "checkup". Also if I needed the ducts cleaned and redone- why didn't they tell me that at the initial checkup? They just create more problems to get more money. My advice to anyone out there is do NOT let them do AC checkups on your unit- they will just find something to charge you for and if you don't want to they will find a way to make sure you have to. A few other things- 1. The workers who installed the unit were very messy and when I called AATC to tell them the woman on the phone asked me "whats the point of this call?". I thought it was obvious but apparently they don't care if their people are messy. 2. It seems like all their workers are single fathers trying to raise their kids, or so they claim when you try to tell them you cant afford all the upsells. read more

I would like to strongly recommend that, based on my recent experience, potential customers consider avoiding using the services of this company. I called to explain that my AC unit was not working properly and underlined that the thermostat was blinking. It was abundantly clear that both issues were related. They sent an employees to look at it. He recommended to clean the coil. He did not bring a thermostat but "reset it". Minutes later the A/C the thermostat stopped working again and so did the Unit. We spent a night with 85 degree temperature. A new thermostat should have been installed there and then and the problem solved. In good faith, I accepted to clean the coil for $670 but. again, I made it clear that the air would only work with a new thermostat regardless of the cleaning of the coil. I was told that all trucks carry "one or two thermostats" Obviously, his did not. The next day, another employee came to clean the coil but when I mentioned the issue of the thermostat he mentioned that "not all trucks" carry them. It was obvious that I had been deceived. After the cleaning was done I asked him to call his office and explain the issue of the thermostat but he claimed that if I called, they would respond faster. It was clear that he did not want to get involved. After $670 spent, still the unit was not working, regardless of the cleaning. The issue of a new thermostat was mentioned from day one but no thermostat was available. Again, I was deceived. Not accepting responsibility is a bad business model. Passing it on seem to be the easier and more profitable model. Still, I called again and explained- for the third time- that the unit was not working and the thermostat was now not even blinking. A technician came by and I was told that there was a charge of an additional $195 to change the thermostat and that the thermostat and the unit were " separate" issues. Unrelated, I was told. On top of the aggravation, I was surprised to hear, for the first time, of the cost. I was never informed. Again, I felt deceived but it was 93 degrees and something so simple as sending someone to change the thermostat the first day, as I advised, would have solved everything. I still would have had the coil cleaned, regardless of the high price. When I called to complain about not being told about the new charge, I was told to call in a few days since, for different reasons, the manager was not available. When I called today, the manager told me that all they could do was to uninstall the the thermostat. Outrageous. When I mentioned that I was left with no choice but to write this review, the Manager ( Susan or similar) said that they would not be "extorted" (!!) Again, this company should not be used by any customer with plain common sense. Notice I avoided to mentioned the names of the employees, except the person which claimed to be a manager. Regrettable. I originally called another a/c company to take a look at my a/c unit, which was making a funny noise. That a/c company told me my compressor was bad and that, due to the expense of a new compressor, I might as well get a new unit. I called Air Around the Clock to get a quote for a new unit. The Air Around the Clock repairman came out to my house. Instead of just taking my word for it that I needed another unit, the technician asked me why I thought I needed a new unit and I explained to him that the previous technician from the other company told me that I did. The Air Around the Clock technician did his own inspection of my unit and realized it was running just fine and that the noise I was hearing had nothing to do with my compressor but simply was the result of some wiring that needed to be fixed. He then stuck around to give me some pointers on how to properly maintain my unit and explained to me how I'd know when I really would need a new compressor. I am forever a client of Air Around the Clock. I called them to get a quote for an entirely new unit and they easily could've taken advantage of me, but instead did an inspection of my unit first and were completely honest about the fact that nothing needed to be done (save for a quick fix of some wiring). They didn't even charge me for this visit! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they did end up giving me a quote for a new a/c unit just so I would have it in the future and it was quite a bit higher than the other quotes I had received. At the end of the day, however, nothing beats honesty and, the fact that the technician would take the time to educate me about my a/c system really was the icing on the cake. I learned that the technicians for Air Around the Clock do not work off a commission, so they are that much more reliable. I am so grateful this company didn't put me in the position to have to figure out how to come up with the money for such a great expense when it was unnecessary. They are the best! read more

I have used ATC for the majority of the 18 years I have been in Florida. I have never had any issue with them; I have always had good experiences. Their technicians are prompt and courteous. As an added plus, most of them like animals which is good because I have a small zoo. They are very good about looking around before walking in and out of the house/garage. I got a deal on my outside unit because I was an existing customer and it's still going strong. Julie is one of the women who answers the phone and she is always unfailingly polite and very upbeat. I did have a maintenance contract and they also fixed my ancient washer a few times before it died for good. I am not sure I would say they are ultra high-end, I have seen more expensive A/C companies. read more

DO NOT USE!! They don't stand behind their work. I spent $4000 on a brand new AC. I had it checked at a year. No problems. 2 months later, the drains needed to be cleaned out. I understand that can happen. $125 later, they were cleaned. Then, 2 months later, the unit stopped up again. I called and told them that apparently the work wasn't done well the first time. They said they could come back out for another fee ($125) and do it again. I told them it should be free since there is no way this should be happening so often. They said no. They said I should buy their maintenance plan for $310. Terrible customer service. Use someone else!!! read more

I now have a lower electric bill and have to take breaks outside in the heat to defrost from how cold it gets and stays inside the house! Do not use air around the clock. Their techs left without reconnecting a safe-t switch, but more importantly an open hole in the access panel in the back of the unit. When we called them back to look at it their explanation was that what used to be there, we didn't want and they just put an equivalent to duct tape over it. I'm hoping it continues working right, but if i left it the way they left it, lint from the laundry room would have destroyed the entire coil unit read more

The A/C stopped working suddenly, and it was the middle of summer, so we didn't have very long that we wanted to wait to get someone out. Unfortunately, our normal A/C repair company that the landlady has a contract with couldn't come out for a few days, so we called AATC, who could come out the next day. The technician who came out claimed the problem was a capacitor on the condenser, so he replaced it. Couple hundred dollars. The A/C was working when he left--for about 10 minutes before it stopped working again. I called him immediately and he returned, and this time claimed the problem was now the condenser fan motor, which needed to be replaced. Another couple hundred dollars. Once again, the A/C worked when he left, and continued to work--this time for about an hour before it stopped working yet again. Now I called the AATC office and told them they needed to get back out here and fix this once and for all. The same technician came back for a third time and this time proclaimed the problem was the condenser fan blades were warped and so the fan blade itself would need to be replaced, but he didn't have the correct part and would have to bring and install it that night. The small measure of solace was that there would be no additional charge for this third repair. He came back that night and replaced the fan blade, left, and again the A/C worked, this time for about 3 days before--you guessed it--it stopped working. By this point I wasn't about to let AATC near the A/C again--3 strikes and you're out. So I called the other company who sent out a technician the next day. As it turned out, the problem all along was in fact the capacitor on the condenser, except the AATC technician had wired it wrong so it was causing the fan motor to spin excessively fast, causing it to overheat and shut down. In addition, he said the AATC tech had used the wrong size fan blade that was putting excess stress on the fan motor. He rewired the capacitor, installed the right size fan blade, and the A/C has been working properly ever since. When the landlady called AATC to complain about the amount of money charged for unnecessary work and incorrect parts, the person she spoke with got very defensive and refused to admit to any substandard work or pro-rating of money paid, and made statements about having been in business for so many years, yada yada. The bottom line is AATC may have been in business for many years, but all I know is that the tech they sent out clearly had no idea what he was actually doing, and management was unwilling to make any concessions for this clear demonstration of incompetence. read more

I had these guys out in April and they fixed an internal part, and told me that they looked at the condenser. They said the condenser is all corroded and is leaking freon and told me i need a new compressor right away. Since I was under warranty for the unit, I waited until June where it was functioning erratically. The person from April came and told me the compressor is still leaking freon and he had to put more in. Further, the compressor is just about dead and i need to hurry up and get it fixed, and he seemed annoyed that I was not willing to spend the $3000 to fix it. So, right after that visit, I called the company that installed the unit 10 years ago to come out and look at it. His diagnosis was that there is no evidence of freon leak, and he showed me what the coil would look like, i.e. black streaks and there are none. He said he sees no sign of major corrosion beyond normal wear and tear. He said his conclusion is that "it simply looks like a 10 year old unit, and he sees no reason to replace." So, there is always the questions of who is saying what for whose best commercial interests there is. However, while i tend to believe the original company who installed it, as I know that the units generally last way over 10 years. I may bring in a third opinion, but i tend to feel that he saw where i live, and they felt i could easily squeeze out $3000 for new unit. My recommendation is that if this outfit gives you a song and a dance for the need for a major repair, that you get another opinion. read more

This company is unethical to use proper language... They serviced my unit 45 days ago (which was 15 months old and I had purchased from them), claiming that algae was clogging the lines. After telling me that I should use a mix of vinegar to keep the lines clean, they were clogged again... and asked $150 to come back to my house. They could never explain why my 10 year old downstairs unit never had that problem and their 15 month old unit has to be serviced twice within 45 days read more

Beware! Air Around the Clock never once to this day inspected the duct work. Sold us a larger unit without inspecting the duct work. We trusted that they knew what they were doing. 17 months later, the new unit froze up. Tech came out, said he had no Idea why. Defrosted it, pumped it up with Freon, charged us $125. Checked the filter, he said it was clean. Then turned around and wrote in his paperwork, "dirty filter"! I change the filter, religiously every 28 days. 4 hours later, house is still hot. They sent out another tech that acted aggravated. Told us that the first tech did everything correctly and that the unit is "fine". Then why is the house still 82 degrees? His response, "it will take time to cool". It takes 4 hours to cool? Unreal! The visits from techs went on for 5 weeks! The following day, another tech came out. He replaced the thermostat (that was suppose to be installed with the new unit and never was). He then changed the speed on the fan. That night, house was still hot. We called again. The customer service manager told me, "Stop calling and find someone else." Who says that? Wow! Since then, we have replaced the fan motor, the compressor, the capacitor, and a switch. We also replaced all of the duct work to handle this unit. The unit is still not working correctly! We are now in over $9,000 into this unit. AATC did not honor the 10 year warranty. How could they? They told us to stop calling! We hired An engineer to come out and he inspected The duct work. He said it was too small for that size unit. (To this day, AATC never inspected the duct work). In a last ditch effort I reached out to AATC again. At first the customer service manager was sweet as pie. She said, "I remember you." Then went on to say that they would send a tech out and charge me $95. I told her that we will not pay any more money. She said she would check with the owner. She called me back and told me that he would waive the fee of $95 only if I take down ALL of my negative comments on social media. I said, "isn't that black mail?" She said, "take it or leave it." She turned around and went to MY business page on FB and wrote that I was trying to extort from AATC. I immediately took it off the page and blocked her. Two minutes later, another post from a different name showed up, I took that down and blocked that name. I unpublished MY business page because AATC attacked me personally! Are we in kindergarten? What does MY business have to do with any of this? The owner then went on to call me a scum bag. (Yes, I have proof). We are not extorting anything! All we want is what we paid for! This company will sell you a new unit (supposedly new) and take your hard earned money. When the unit starts having issues they come out, charge you $95, and tell you everything is fine. How can everything be fine when your home is 82 degrees? Then the lies and finger pointing start. For the last 3 years this unit has been nothing but trouble. Our electric bill is sky high. We have to run a portable air conditioner in the bedroom and a window unit in the living room. What was the point of purchasing a $4,000 brand new central unit? BEWARE. read more

Installed date 01/21/2017. 3 Service calls in less than 1 week, still not working properly. * 01/21/2017 INSTALLATION (1st and 2nd Technician) I spent approximately 4 hours at my house. I noticed that the water in the pipe was not draining and pointed this to one the installers and he stated that it was normal to see the water in the pipe. I was skeptical, but they were the "professionals". * 01/21/2017 SERVICE CALL (3rd Technician) An hour later the A. C stopped working because the water was draining. I called and I was provided a 3 hours timeframe. The technician arrived 2.5 hours later and stated that the first two technicians should have blown out the line, so he did. Upon inspecting the drain in the back of my house, I did not notice anything on the ground to indicate that anything was blocking the line. He stated that I wouldn't since the force of the air used through the pipe may have scattered anything that was obstructing the line, He stated that I should be fine and left. An hour later, the unit turned off and water started leaking in the A.C. closet. By that time it was close to 7 pm at night, so I called again and they wanted to send someone else out. I had been home all day because of the installation of the unit. I told them that I was not going to sit home for another 3 hours waiting for someone to come and that they needed to send someone tomorrow (Sunday 01/22/2017). * 01/22/2017 (4th Technician) came out and stated that the issue was that the pipe was not set up properly. He fixed the pipe and A.C. was working. * 01/25/2017. The temperature dropped and my 63 year old mother requested that I turned the heat on...surprise...NO HEAT! I had to go buy a portable heater, so she could sleep. I called and spoke to Susan (manager) and I told her that I wanted her company to come and remove the A.C. unit from my house because 4 technicians in less than a week is absurd. She acknowledged my frustration and stated that she would have a supervisor come out to fix the heat issue and ensure everything else was property installed. I scheduled it for 01/28/2017 because I could not take time from work. I told her that if I had any more issue after the supervisor comes out, they would have to come and remove the unit. I would not schedule any repair call. * 01/28/2017 (5th Technician Supervisor) came out and stated that the reason that my heat is not working is because of the Thermostat. He was there for approximately 1/2 hour. The Unit was turned off most of the day and the windows were opened. Around 7pm, the temperature had dropped, so I turned the heat on. An hour later it was still cold, so I increased the temperature to 85 and 2 hours later, the thermostat showed the temperature in the house at 85, but the unit continued to run for hours and it was still cold in the house. My mom told me to take to call on Monday because I was too angry to get anything accomplished. 01/30/2017. I called at 5:15 pm and asked to speak to manager and I was told that there was no manager on staff after 5 pm. 01/31/2017 E-mailed the company this post with a request to remove unit from my house on Saturday. I have a quote from Home Depot which was substantially more than Air Around the Clock, but the time I wasted I will never get back. 02/04/2017 They removed the equipment. 02/09/2017 They have yet to credit back my credit card,. Filed a complaint with the better business bureau, and I am also going to call the state attorney's office. read more

Called again, left another message with the answering service and explained that I had called before. No call back, acknowledgement or anything. They installed a/c unit 2 years ago. Supposedly under warranty. Feb. came out and said it needed a new thermostat. They left, it still wasn't working. It turned out to be that the tube needed to be flushed. Tech came and looked around and said. A/C is doing the best it can. Daughter said then why have a/c??? After much complaining they are to come out tomorrow--4th time for same problem. Why are they Air Around the Clock? Because they respond with in 24 hours. I had installed a new $3,850 central ac in my 980sq ft home in May 2014. In August 2015 my newly installed AC no longer works. I called Air Around the Clock, assuming they would at the very least "trouble shoot" over the phone, but no... they want me to pay a $90 service fee just to come out to tell me whats wrong. Then if repairs are needed on my brand new unit, additional service fee's for the repair man. I had replaced a central ac that i had for 20 years, not because it stopped working, but to get a more energy efficient unit. She said "it's over a year sir, do you expect us to come out for free?" She asked that question as if I had the unit for 10 years... seriously, she asked me with that tone in her voice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Scheduled a service after hours for my A/C that stopped working ended up paying $150 and my A/C stopped working again 10-20 minutes after the technician left. When I called in the morning to try and schedule an appointment and get a refund I was told there would be no refund given as work is not guaranteed. They also have multiple technicians working for them, however, when you try and schedule an appointment (e.g. 9am-11am) there is no guarantee the technician will show up during that time frame, I was just told they would show up at some point in the day. You may ask why I stayed with them, it's because the previous owner of my property had a contract with them. Now I'm locked in with this subpar service for a year. read more

First off this is NOT a robot writing this - this is a actual customer. For ANYONE that is researching to use this company for any type of AC Work. DO NOT USE IT, I had my AC installed 04/27/20...as of this morning, the permits HAVE NOT BEEN HONORED. One inspection failed because they do not know how to properly install a hurricane strap anchor (yet they're suppose to be professionals). Insult to injury - after the failed inspection I had to call 4 times to get this corrected - finally, someone comes...NOT ZACK, not anyone wearing a "Winter breeze" company logo - does 3 things and leaves. The inspection appointment gets rescheduled to 11/18/20 - and gets what...NO CALL FROM THE COMPANY NO - NO CALL FROM THE CITY, which leads me to the conclusion that the appointment was never set because the city doesn't miss appointments - whether were in a Covid-19 pandemic or not. The only person you will ever speak to is "Zack" a kid, that will give you the run around once the money is in the bag and never follows up to finish the job - THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO MANAGER, NO OWNER that you will ever speak to. If any one reads this - stay away from this company, Synchrony the merchant who approved the loan for the purchase dumped the company because of the numerous complaints, there is a reason for this. I called for them to check out why the air conditioner was not cooling down the upstairs. The repairman showed up with no mask or gloves on, very irresponsible during this pandemic (he tied a tee shirt around his face which kept falling off). He pursued to fix the condensation pump and was able to get it to work. However, he felt that if there would be a reoccurrence of the problem then the pump would have to be replaced. If he felt there was imminent danger of the pump malfunctioning, even though he said there was none in the truck, he could have gone to the warehouse to get one. Instead, he told me to "keep an eye on the AC".Needless to stay a few hours later it leaked through the ceiling into my downstairs living room and kitchen, and storage room next to the unit. I immediately turned off the unit and called the company who sent back the same repairman again without a mask or gloves who this time had a new pump which he replaced. He offered to call a restoration company that"works with ATC" and "there would be no deductible or anything out of our pocket" The next AM, the restoration company agent came and assessed the damage and said it would cost $1900.00. When we called ATC they indicated that they would not be held libel for the cost of the restoration. read more

My wife and I have been loyal customers of Air Around the Clock for 11 years. We have paid for the maintenance agreement of $225 dollars a year. We paid for a new AC inside and outside (a complete unit) and bought it through them a few years ago. It is still under warranty. The coil got a hole in it and needed to be replaced. There was no charge for the part as the manufacturer covered that. We had a very nice, knowledgeable technician, Kennedy come in to replace the part. From start to stop of job was under 1 1/2 hours. The charge came to $650. 00. Wow! All for one and one half hours of work and picking up the part on the way to our home. I called the main office and the call was escalated to Suzy. I explain that we had been a customer of theirs for years and she could see that from our records. I asked if there was anything she could do on the price as we have been loyal to them for over a decade. She was not willing to budge one penny. I explained that there are other companies our there, but we have showed our loyalty to them and I would hope they would reduce the bill as I believed it was way out of line. She was not willing to do that and acted like they didn't need our business as "they have so many customers already". They will have one less customer once the maintenance agreement runs out. I went to Yelp, as I had never used it before, to let others know about the lack of loyalty which AATC demonstrated to me as an existing customer and their unwillingness to do what I believe to be the right thing. I was a salesman for years and always made sure that my customers were treated fairly and provided with the best customer service. If I felt that the customer deserved better, then I made sure they were taken care of properly and I made things right. There will be businesses like this that may be thinking that they are better than the everyday man and women, but I thank Yelp for the ability to let others know how it is. I am not the type of person to right reviews especially when things are handled incorrectly. I am the person who calls companies to tell them that an employee of theirs went above and beyond and deserves the recognition, so this is a first for me. (I did tell them that the technician, Kennedy was very nice, professional, did a great job.) I will be ending my relationship with AATC and letting everyone I know about the treatment and lack of loyalty I received throughout this experience. Gonna be looking for a new AC company. A/C Unit acting up yesterday, so called them to come out and diagnose. Tech told my wife that we had a freon leak due to a faulty coil, and that the repair would cost $1,800.00 (replace coil), plus $250.00 to add freon. Additionally, thermostat was giving off an error code, which tech was to look over; He couldn't figure it out. Given the cost of the estimate they gave, we called to get a 2nd opinion. Turns out there's no leak, and thermostat error code was a 5-minute fix. Cost was $75.00! What's worse, called Office to let them know and lady we spoke with too busy being rude and sarcastic to listen to what really happened. Insisted on charging me for freon anyways, which I'll pay with a smile, knowing it will be the last dime these guys ever get from me. read more

NOT HAPPY! BAD INSTALL, STAND BENT AND PROPPED, DUCT/PLENUM AT THE TOP OF UNIT LEAKING AIR. HOUSE COOLING WORSE WITH MY NEW 4 ton 16 seer Carrier than with my old 12 year old Rheem. MANY ISSUES and many lies told to me from the office. After 3 guys (installer, tech and supervisor) still no one can even tell me what size air filter I need. The one given to me is too wide by about one inch. I was told by the supervisor the non-cooling could be my old thermostat (but it was a brand new one just installed with the AC). My old unit cooled my house at 75 (barely), shouldn't this new high-efficiency be more efficient and at least cool better at 75? If not 76? 77? Well, I was told to run it at 74! I was told the owner was coming out, only to be lied to again. Many lies. Don't waste your hard earned money here. I still have air leaking out of the top. My electric bill is going to be higher now because I chose this company. I had used them in the past and was happy. Not anymore. There is no reason I should have to call them after an install of a new unit, let alone call multiple times and have multiple guys out and the problem STILL isn't fixed. I'm elevating my complaint!
