Expensive but worth it for new "to code" duct replacement under and existing home…read more I got my tenant in a 1980s house a new dryer and the installer said that it looked like the existing flexible ducting needed replacing. He was correct. For a 20 foot or so run under a home you want rigid piping as it is far safer, more efficient for the dryer, kinder on your power bill and up to code. Also easier to clean in future. Clogged ducting is a fire danger of course and our old flexible ducting had been installed poorly with it being jammed between a joist and wall and constricted in diameter by half. A fire hazard that required a new cutout behind the dryer for proper installation of a rigid downpipe. Jeff came out on a Sunday and did the inspection and installation in two hours or so. Very pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. I'm sure you can find cheaper but not sure you will find better. I didn't bother with a second quote based on the reviews here. Note in one of the photos you can se the old ducting laying on the ground below the new rigid ducting. Jeff installed a new exit door to make future cleaning easier. I'll be using Jeff at our three rentals in future for cleaning.

He did a thorough job, was very professional and apologized that the work had not been done. I was home the day the work was originally to be completed and when I left for an appointment, I had someone at my home to let them in. I'm grateful the work got done today. Moses was respectful of my home, he wore shoe covers, and as I mentioned kept me informed of everything he was doing. I asked him to put a vent cover on so the birds will not go in the vent, and paid him to do that. My landlady had called the HOA a few times and I suggested she call the company directly and she got this resolved. I highly recommend this company.

With both, a unexperienced office person answered and both could not give me the estimate I was looking for. Both required a technician to physically check the unit at a cost. It seemed I had no choice but make an appointment with each. Frustrated on knowing I'm going to be paying someone for not fixing the furnace, I contacted Adams Heating to see what they had to offer. Right away, I got a response from the owner in directing me to his tech (Josh). After discussing my situation with him, I cancelled my previous two appointments and made one with Adams. What was the difference??? Simply put ...Integrity and old school values! Josh was honest in his communication and gave me what I exactly wanted, that of an estimate. They were very respectful and clean and wore booties, even put booties on the vacuum wheels so it did not get my floors wet since it was raining outside. I was then contacted by text by a robot masquerading as a human offering to help me make an appt. I stupidly made the appointment. What followed was tons of phone calls purporting to be from the business (the robot told me to ignore if I wanted to keep my appt., so I did). Finally they got through to me, explained that they are using AI (and not training it for the job) and so the appointment it made me, the price it quoted me, and all the info I gave it were not in their system. In addition, the appt was scheduled for a time that is not available and the price was incorrectly quoted. I had changed my schedule to accommodate the original appointment time and now this human wants me to change it all back cause they gave the call to a robot who gave me an appointment at a time not available? I spent over an hour trying to set up this appointment between the calls and texts and ended up cancelling. I just need a filter cleaned on a mini-split. Shouldn't be this hard. I don't do business with companies who are too lazy or too cheap to answer the phone but rather let robots incorrectly give out information to customers. Life is too short. There are plenty of plumbers around.
