First the service call when my old system died: Dariush was professional and made it easy to understand the problem and alternative solutions. At no point did I feel like I was being pushed to do something against my best interests, and felt high trust in Dariush's advice. He is also very opinionated (a good thing!) - Dariush refused to install brands he considered subpar (which my own subsequent independent research confirmed). On the day of install: The Air One Tech team arrived on time, got the work done with minimal disruption to my house, and finished the job when they said they would. As a much appreciated bonus, Air One Tech replaced a piece of duct work that had rusted badly attached to the old air handler at no extra charge. 2 weeks later, the new system is working great and handling the wild swings in spring temperature like a champ. Air One has earned every five star review on here. We just moved into a new place, and two days later, during the first cold day, we woke up to a very cold house. The fan motor in the furnace was not turning on at all. I looked on yelp to see who I could call, and Air One popped up with a ton of good reviews. I called and let a message, hoping someone was around on a Saturday. Dariush called back ten minutes later, told me he happened to be in the area and could come out within the hour to take a look. Within a few minutes of being on site, he had diagnosed the problem, explained exactly how he was going to fix it, and got to work. An hour later the furnace was working again without a problem. I called on a Wednesday to schedule an appointment for my elderly grandmother's AC unit to be fixed (in the midst of a heatwave). I was told that a technician could come out on that Friday to evaluate the unit and write a proposal- they gave me a timeframe of 9am and 12pm. At 11:45 the tech called to let me know he was on his way and would be there in 45 mins (not between the timeframe given, but oh well traffic happens). I called at 1pm to inquire - no answer from the tech so I left a message and to this day have not received a call back. I called the main number at 5pm, no answer so I left a message asking when they could reschedule/if they wanted to bother calling me to let me know about rescheduling. To this day haven't heard back from them. Update: I received calls and emails from the company after my review posted. read more

They were too much of a hurry to get out of there before the weather hit, so they were trying to rush things. I wanted to get preventive maintenance done on my air conditioning unit and they could not hook up the connections to measure the pressure of the coolant. Which surprised me because every time I've gotten preventive maintenance from other places they could hook it up with no problem. But eventually he went back and sorted it and connected it when I ask him to do so! Outstanding process from beginning to end!! My 17 year old heat pump blew the blower motor. The Air One Tech was available that day for an appointment and showed up exactly on time. Found the problem and gave me a quote. I got two other quotes a bit higher, but ultimately decided not to spend the money on repairing an old system, but instead, went the route of getting the entire system replaced. Dariush came out (again, exactly on time), explained everything I needed to know about heat pumps and provide me a number of different estimates on everything from contractor level systems to the super elite systems (and inbetween as well). He beat all other quotes of similar systems and he offered Trane (which I swear by). The replacement was scheduled a couple of days later and the entire crew showed up 5 minutes ahead of schedule. They had the entire new system installed, checked, and tested and the old system removed before lunch time. All the tech wore shoe coverings, covered up the floor from the front door to the attic where the unit was and cleand up after themselves. This company has great knowledge of HVAC systems, very competitive pricing, efficient front office assistance, and some of the best tech service I have experienced. I will definitely use them again if I ever need to and would recommend you give Dariush a call if you're having issues with your system. read more

For those who want to read on: Our 26-year-old air conditioner finally gave up its ghost. The heater still worked, but it was making all kinds of scary noises, and I'm not so sure it would have survived another winter. It was time for a new HVAC system...but whom to call?Calling any service company always gives me trepidation--you never know what you'll get, and we've had some really bad experiences in the past. So thank goodness for Yelp! I found Air One Tech with its amazing reviews, many of them mentioning its owner, Dariush, and the glowing reviews somewhat put me at ease. I called Air One Tech early on a Tuesday morning to see about getting an estimate for a new HVAC system. The lady who answered the phone said she would have her supervisor call me back, and within half an hour I received a call from Dariush. He was super nice and friendly and offered to come out that same evening! Unfortunately my husband and I had another commitment that night, but Dariush seemed very flexible and was able to come the following day. Before stepping into our house, Dariush was going to put on shoe protectors. We told him that wasn't necessary, but I did think it was a nice touch. He then started with a thorough inspection of our old HVAC unit and the size and orientation of our house. He was very friendly and personable, and he explained a lot about HVAC systems and answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly. I really felt that he wanted us to understand what we were buying and to be able to make an educated decision. He then worked up estimates for three different systems for us (all of them Trane; that is the only brand he sells) and went over each one with us in detail. At no point did my husband or I feel pressured or pushed toward the pricier of the three options, although it is what we ended up choosing. We felt good about our choice because there had been no pressure, only education. What can I say, we liked Dariush and the whole experience so much that we decided to forego getting any other estimates, and we signed a contract with him that evening. He requires half of the payment at the signing of the contract, with the second half due upon completion of the job. One week later, Dariush returned with two men and our new HVAC system. I'm sorry I didn't catch the names of the two men, but they were both very friendly and polite. Dariush asked my husband and me if we had any questions, and once he was satisfied that everything was answered, he left, and the other two men installed our new system. Dariush returned later in the day to explain the new system to me (my husband had gone to work, but Dariush said he could call him any time if he had additional questions), and he taught me how to use our new touch-screen thermostat without making me feel stupid, which I am when it comes to technology! ;-) Then Dariush and his two workers cleaned up after themselves immaculately and left. The following morning Dariush called to follow up and see if everything was working properly and to make sure we were happy with our new system (which we are!). He again reiterated to call, text, or email him at anytime if we have any questions or concerns, and the amazing thing is, I think he actually means it! My husband and I could not be happier about our choice to go with Air One Tech! We have already recommended them to friends who might be looking at a new HVAC system this or next year, and we'll keep recommending them to anyone who will listen! read more

I am so impressed with this company! Professional and courteous! I had an AC problem which a technician came out to repair. Victor did a great job but the problem was still there. It was very complicated. The owner,Dariush, came at 830 the next morning to address this issue. He analyzed and diagnosed the problem which had to do with the drainage and piping. It was very involved. I doubt many would have been able to accurately assess and diagnose this issue so quickly. Problem is resolved. He showed me pictures and explained in detail what was wrong. Awesome!! I asked 5 AC companies to give me an estimate for replacing my furnace and ac in an older townhome. While 5 came to my home, only 3 actually delivered an estimate. Dariush was timely, professional, provided genuine and honest recommendations for my AC/HP issues. I had him out about a year ago under my home warrantee and was impressed by his honestly then. He told me at the time he could fix the issue (at full cost) or he told me the simple fix that needed to be done so I could do it myself (at only minimum cost of the warrantee service). More recently I called him back to perform regular service on my AC/HP unit. During the service, he discovered a Freon leak and gave me options of what to do. It was either to repair for about $400 (which would probably require additional repair 6 months - a year down the road) or replace the unit. We decided the replace the unit. Dariush performed various engineering measurements and calculation (as an engineer myself, I was impressed) and gave us multiple options for new units, laying out all the specs and ranges. We went with a midrange unit for about $7600. One issue came up where we needed a crane to get the outside unit in place (I live in a townhome with a high wall behind me). Dariush spent several days working to find us a good deal on a crane and in the end we were very please. The install went well and the unit is great. My house is now very comfortable and quite. I highly recommend using Dariush at Air One Tech. It's hard to find honest hard working people now-a-days. read more

On 8/15/14 replaced my entire 21 year old Carrier HVAC system with a high efficiency Trane one. Amazing how far technology has come. Air One Tech only uses Trane, which my research showed to be excellent quality. Dariush recommended a Trane system that matched my house's size and age, Their quote was very reasonable, quick, and they did an excellent installation job. One great thing about their installation is how cleanly they work. Before they begin installation, they lay out fabrics and papers all over the walking surfaces and constantly clean their work area. Afterwards, we had to do very little cleanup. They also are extremely knowledgable about HVAC system. Dariush also reprogrammed my thermostat. My wife and I have been fortunate to work with Dariush and Air One Tech over the last two years. He and his team have serviced our air conditioning and heating systems each season without fail. Recently, one of our two air conditioning units would no longer hold a charge. We communicated this to our landlord who elected to replace the AC unit, the furnace, and the coil. Two days prior, Dariush came out with his iPad to take pictures, measurements, have us sign the contract electronically, and collect the deposit. All of this was done quickly and copies sent instantaneously to my e-mail. I appreciated the reduction in paperwork and the speed at which I had copies of the finalized paperwork. On the day of the job, Dariush and his team arrived on time & prepared to go to work. They wore booties throughout the home and laid protective covers on all four floors as they traversed between the upstairs furnace area and the outside air conditioning unit. The job took the majority of the day, but I'm writing this review from a home that's now cooler, more energy efficient, and quieter with the new Trane units. He guaranteed his work for two years...plus with online registration Trane also has a warranty for their customers. We're fortunate to have a landlord who takes care of her tenants, and equally lucky to have had Dariush leading his team on this job. I should note there's another old unit at our home that will likely need to be replaced in the future. At no point has Dariush ever pushed us to purchase anything that wasn't absolutely essential, and he explained what he was doing every step of the way. And if that wasn't enough, Dariush called us personally the next day to ensure everything was still working smoothly. The entire team's professionalism and expertise was exceptional. My heater wouldn't stay on. I found Air One on Yelp and called at 7:40am and spoke with the owner Dariush. He said he would be at the house before 9am. He was here by 8:20am. Extremely professional and friendly. His technician was also very professional and friendly. They identified the problem quickly, cleaned the sensor and tested the heater. It came on immediately. He only charged for the labor and made additional recommendations for maintenance and service. I felt they were trustworthy and reasonable. With a cold front moving in, I decided to test the furnace to make sure it would keep us warm. Unfortunately, the test failed. After contacting a larger HVAC company, I did a quick search on Yelp for a local company and found Air One Tech. I was able to make an appointment later that afternoon for a 3 hour window--much shorter than the day long appointment suggested by another company. Air One Tech's rate was also significantly less than the other company. Dariush arrived within the window and was able to solve the problem within a half hour. He cycled the system a few times to ensure that everything was ok. He was polite and efficient and charged only the standard rate, no additional fees. The work is guaranteed for 30 days so if the problem pops up again, they'll set up another appointment with out charging. Just as it was starting to get cold, my heater began acting up. Air One Tech came after work the next day (so I didn't need to take off from work). Darius was on-time, professional, and very knowledgeable. It didn't take him very long to figure out that the circuity to my gas valve was worn out. He ordered the replacement part right then and there. He also stayed a bit longer and answered a myriad of questions we had. We really appreciated his candor and expertise. When the replacement part came in, he worked around our schedule and came back in the evening so I didn't have to take off work.
