*just want to preface this with that they weren't able to service my place due to factors outside of their control but I'm giving them a review based on customer service My heat went out last night on one of the coldest days of the month. Asked for a quote through here. They really did respond in minutes, especially at midnight. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take leave and had to go to work the next morning so I wasn't able to wait for them in the scheduled time range. Had to call someone else who was available earlier in the day. Thankfully the issue was fixed. They did communicate before hand during the quote process that they were fully scheduled and that coming in the earlier time frame was gonna be difficult. It's just circumstances weren't in my favor that I had to cancel. They were kind enough over the phone to understand my situation and even followed up afterwards with regards to my heat. Individual on the phone/ messaging on Yelp was nice. They also have a $150 service fee that gets applied to the repair cost. read more

We had a leaky boiler situation recently and of course in the evening when we had no clue what to do. Off to Yelp I went to look for emergency repairs. I found AirTactical HVAC services, checked out their website which looked very professional, and they responded right away! The job didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. We ended up needing to replace the whole unit, then George found pretty bad wiring issues at the house, but because he explained the situation and kept me informed throughout the whole process, there was no surprises in the amount of work needed or the labor costs. My AC was not keeping temperature on an 80 degree day. I called ATHS and spoke to George. We setup an appointment for the next morning. Stavros came at the scheduled time. He was knowledgeable and courteous upon entering into my house he put on shoe booties to not track in dirt. My AC need coolant. So he filled it and bingo the AC is pumping out cold 50 degree air. I have tried the bigger companies that have been around forever, but was not satisfied with their attitudes, service, or prices. Based on high reviews, I gave Air Tactical a shot, and could not be happier all around. George, the owner, serviced my boiler, and was so knowledgable, and so nice, that I had him install 5 Mitsubishi split minis and compressors in my Forest Hills house. The installation was careful and precise, the price was certainly competitive, if not cheaper, than the competition. Above all, George's communication was the best I've ever had with a service technician. He always answered my calls and texts promptly, and is the nicest guy, who never has an attitude. I had to hire Air tactical for two repairs this month for my home and had very positive experiences. The first issue was our Hvac blower wheel went off balance causing vibration and it had to be replaced. The second issue was a small natural gas leak in the hvac. I had George show up to my house promptly to address both issues. He wore shoe covers when entering my home and was very courteous and respectful. To start off our experience with this company, we messaged George on Yelp late at night to fix two of our A/C units and he responded within minutes, scheduling an appointment the next day at a time that was convenient to us and exemplifying his high level of professionalism from the start. George showed up at our house exactly on time, diagnosing the problem with ease and beginning to work to fix it right away. While he was tending to the problem, George was extremely friendly, honest, and professional, answering all of my questions and even going so far as to give me some pointers that I didn't know on how to be able to tell whether or not an AC is lacking Freon. One of the worst experiences I have had with a company I called and spoke with George he setup an appointment for the upcoming Saturday from 6pm to 8pm I asked for him to call me before he came. That Saturday came and I received no calls so I texted him to just confirm that he was going to call prior so I could be home then I receive a call from him stating that he didn't have me listed for this Saturday but I was on their schedule for next Saturday he attempted to see if he had anyone available ( who knows if he really tried ) and said he had no one available and that the only appointment he had left was during the weeks a couple of days later which I can not do because of my work schedule so that's one Saturday night lost waiting for him and I just told him to come next Saturday from 6pm to 8pm. Next Saturday comes and I leave my schedule open from 6 to 8 I hear nothing so I call him first and leave a voicemail. I don't get a return phone call from my voicemail so I text him at 646pm just to confirm and to make sure he wasn't going to flake out again and I receive a text back at 727pm stating that he is running late due to an emergency and if he can come at 10pm to service me. My wife and 10 month old son go to sleep around 8pm 9 pm I said that would be unacceptable so instead of trying to make up for 2 missed appointments and fit me in next day he offers me another appointment during the week which obviously I would not be able to make because I just asked for 2 Saturdays in a row. I can't say anything about their work but their customer service and attendance is absolutely unacceptable. I contacted another company they came out the next day on time and serviced my ac unit as scheduled and great pricing . I would be wary of this company. read more
