First of all, we live in an apartment. Our HVAC unit is on the roof. Air Tech performed a basic HVAC maintenance service that was already prepaid. The technicians were polite and professional, attentive to details too. They recommended a deep HVAC cleaning and to replace our HVAC old ducts In the near future. By our request, they also did some tests on the roof in order to solve some leaks we had. They took longer than expected, so the cost was a little high. (2 hours total) AirTech personnel was very eager to help us, ready to act and knowledgeable. We really appreciate that. Unfortunately they didn't find the cause of the problem. They said the problem was not our HVAC, but probably a crack on the roof. So, they gave us a referral for a roof company. AirTech is a fine company. read more

I recently had to replace an old central HVAC system. It was a big job, taking 3 full days. The Air-Tech crew assigned to the job were very efficient and hard working. Schuyler came out the day after I called for an estimate. He was quite helpful in describing my different options, prices, pros and cons. Now that we've had a "heat wave" to test the new system, I am quite impressed with its comfort, performance and improvements of the new system over the one that it replaced. And then I got suckered into paying $400 to replace a capacitor, a part that cost $30 on Amazon and took 5 minutes of very basic wiring to install. Air-Tech has always been consistent with a professional staff and the highest standards of work quality. I have called them for central AC/Heat service probably since 2009 or 2010. They've done everything from repairing both decades-old units, replacing parts, to installing an entirely new unit as well as ductwork throughout the entire house just before summer of 2022. My home air conditioner was blowing warm air intermittently. Contacted Air-tech based on their previous Yelp reviews and was given an appointment 9 days from the date I called (they must be good to be that busy) Received a couple confirmation calls regarding my appointment with a hopeful "if someone cancels, we will move up your appointment date". The day of appointment, we were indeed moved up in the rotation and our tech arrived approximately 3 hours earlier than expected (they called first to confirm) Jose was neat, clean, friendly and professional. He went about his diagnosis and ultimately determined that our unit had not been service in a while (10 years) and there was a possible coolant leak. Jose provided a detailed explanation to me about our system and potential issues. He also provided couple options for service. We elected to have the unit filled with 4.5 pounds of coolant and a sealer to resolve our issue, though without a full on system service, the option we selected held no guarantees. We were extremely happy with Air-tech and Jose. The initial service call was $149 (I think) and they charged an additional fee for every 15 minutes their tech worked on our system. I felt The end price was reasonable for the service provided, and so far we are happy with the results. I'd use Air-tech again without question and am considering them for our bi-annual service read more

Our AC has been broken for a while. We have a friend (Jake) who works as a sales rep here & is very knowledgeable about the business. He took the time to come out and take a look at our AC a couple times throughout the heat wave in LA even before we scheduled an actual appointment with the company. Shout out to you Jake for being the man!! Today we had an appointment scheduled with David, the technician assigned to our case. He was so wonderful! He checked everything thoroughly, showed a clear diagnostic of the whole system, and explained pricing and what he recommends for next steps. Not only was he very knowledgeable, he was also very kind AND showed up early to the appointment. I highly recommend David and Air-tech in general. The company as a whole is very organized and easy to work with. They sent reminders and updates about the appointment and who our technician was. I was very nervous about my service with Air Tech. My system is old and it stopped working properly in the middle of the heat wave. I called three companies and only AirTech responded. First of all, communication with the company was excellent. Phil the Comfort Specialist ( I love that title) was an absolute dream. He was here on time and explained everything he was doing. He asked me questions and told me to jot down any questions I might have. He answered every one of them and was a true font of knowledge. He solved the problem (worn capacitor), and I signed up for their maintenance program very gladly. It's like this place pushes a button and my AC breaks this time of year. It's happened the last 2 years. And now, I called a couple days ago and they said their next opening is THREE WEEKS away! Yes, they do great work.... But when they can get to you. Hopefully I'm not cooked in my home by the time they get here. Would more than happily change this to a 5-star review if I never ever have to see them again. My last home didn't have AC repair and I was there for 15 years. I needed my ac / heating serviced. Jose was sent. I have many services done on my home and I must say Jose was the most curious, professional and diligent technician I have ever encountered . My AC was serviced in the past and no other technician has taken the time to note and repair a problem I had with drainage in my system. It seems when I had concrete installed they burred my drainage pipe which could lead to leakage in my attic. Thank you Jose for going the extra mile to service my unit. I'm hoping by writing this review I can help someone considering this business. We have 3 wall heaters in our rental we needed checked, I figured I'd call air tech... the technician checked all the heaters but determined that only one needed a new flue-ventilation pipe, so we had it replaced and decided to have the gas company check it, gas company comes and "red" tags all 3 heaters after air tech said they were fine, the heater they worked on had a gas leak, so I decided to have air tech send another technician to check, again after 30 minutes inspecting it (- I requested another technician- ) he tells me he can't find a leak so again I call the gas company and they come out to check, again he finds the leak and shows me where it is Do not hire air tech unless you want to waste your time with mediocre technicians, deal with several departments and make several appts to get something done( flue). Dangerous because they can't find a leak or determine what works and doesn't work, so disappointed, now to look for another hvac company read more

These people claim to have a 24 hour service. Don't believe it. Its a complete falsehood. We had them come for a regular service and barely a week later a leak developed. A separate air conditioning specialist came after 20 minutes and diagnosed a cracked pipe that was draining the water from the Unit to the outdoors. They repaired the crack and our air conditioner was working well in 20 minutes. read more

I have been putting off getting a new HVAC system in my home for 3 years now and both my AC condenser and gas furnace were 40 years old this year. I had been referred to Air-Tech by my neighbor who used them 2 years ago, they specifically worked with Rod who manages the business. Rod was spectacular, he came out to give us an estimate, was very thorough, showed us all the options he could do and all the problem/pain points we had. We ended up switching out our condenser, changing our gas furnace for an electric heat pump, and redoing the majority of the duct work. All in it was not cheap, but comparable to other quotes and way more energy efficient. While doing the work, they found that one of our ducts was completely collapsed (a few of our vents never output any air) and they fixed it for a marginal cost. Air-Tech identified all the tax credits and rebates I qualify for and their office will help me process them in the coming weeks. I definitely recommend Air-Tech, the peace of mind that you're hiring a company that really wants to do right by their customers is worth every penny. read more

They installed my unit about 10 years ago and I've had the service agreement with them ever since. I can say that all of the tech's that come are professional and courteous. They explain everything. I've never had a problem with the unit until now. I had a problem with the condensation. Anthony came right out and identified the problem and suggestion a solution that seems to be working. I've had my mini split system for more than a year now and these folks have been pretty first class throughout the installation and maintenance processes. They're not the cheapest, but they are a Mitsubishi diamond contractor (which I think extends the warranty on the hardware), and whenever there's been an issue they've gone to the lengths necessary to resolve it. When I followed up, the lady who picked up the phone said she has no idea why the technician Eric did not show and she hopes to hear from him at the end of the day. Totally unreliable service.
