    Ceviche Mixto, plantain chips

The secret seemed to already get out about Santo Ceviche: this is the place to come for simple, fresh, authentic and non-authentic ceviche. This is complemented by a simple, clean ambiance with outdoor seating available. Add some plantain chips at the suggestion of a friendly counter staff and a solid, healthy meal can be attained in a strip mall that's full of culinary hits. Side note: we had planned on visiting Simply Southern, but they stopped seating over an hour before the posted hours on the door.

Crispy rice is all time fave dish. Bao buns were very delicious. It did take a bit to order food and wait so def suggest ordering ahead .

Stopped into this place for a bite when we saw the menu outside. Had 10/10 pork buns and blackened shrimp tacos. The customer service was so wonderful she informed us the bao buns will take a little while and gave us this delicious desert because we waited (we didn't even wait that long in my opinion) highly recommend .

Stopped at Santo Ceviche on our way home from Sandy Hook. We called in our order and by the time we got there, it was ready to be picked up. It seems like a semi-permanent food truck spot with some nice outdoor tables with umbrellas. We decided to go all out and get a bunch of things, but made the dumb mistake of not trying at least one ceviche. Fish tacos were really good and extremely filling. The ceviche tostadas were good, very tiny little shrimps, but really messy to eat - they were probably my least favorite. But the ABSOLUTE BEST was the tuna tartare sandwich. Holy hell, it was so good. Fresh tuna with some Asian-style flavors wedged between two crispy green plantains... whoever invented this is a genius. It honestly didn't look very appealing when we opened the container, but this is why we don't judge based on appearances. Will definitely be back for some fresh ceviche after the beach!

Great beach spot. Had a late lunch there for two- healthy, tasty, and light on a brutally hot day. Tuna ceviche, shrimp tostadas, and sweet plaintains. Had a chicha morada to drink which is refreshing and not something you see on too many menus. Friendly service! Wonderful addition to belmar.

Very friendly service and we were given great advice on what to order. We never had ceviche before but absolutely loved what we got. Everything was so fresh!

The menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Peruvian flavors with distinct Japanese and Chinese influences that make this cuisine so unique. The atmosphere is modest, warm, and incredibly welcoming, and our server was absolutely terrific. I had the Bistec a la Pobre ($22) -- a perfectly-marinated hanger steak served over generous portions of french fries, white rice topped with a freshly fried egg, and a side of grilled sweet plantains. YUM! The flavors were absolutely spot on. My dining companion loved her Pollo Saltado ($19) -- a generous portion of tender, boneless marinated chicken sauteed with onion, peppers, and tomato served over french fries with a side of white rice. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Peru Chikann is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Peru Chikann has added a surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

Cleanliness: I have been there twice and both times I've watched as the waitresses clean the tables and chairs thoroughly, followed by a quick sweep under the tables before each new guest. That gave us peace of mind for sure. Service: The waitresses were very kind. We aren't very familiar with Peruvian food (we always eat the same dishes) and they helped us choose a new "to us" appetizer they felt we would like. Which we ended up liking a lot. They checked in on us during appropriate times and refilled our waters. When we asked for the check it came quickly without us feeling rushed. It was a good experience. Meals: Appetizer: Yuca Huchaina (I totally spelled that wrong..sorry) fried Yuca with cheese sauce. It was delicious. Fried to perfection. We ate it all up embarrassingly fast. Hey, we were hungry lol! Drink: we tried the "Chicha" purple drink. Wow this was amazing. Yes it is purple! It is sweet and has a touch of pineapple in it. We opted to get a pitcher for the three of us. Vida Seafood dish- It came with ceviche, leche de Tigre and fried seafood mix. This dish was a big hit. My parents said they would order it next time. It hit all the things I was craving. I loved that I got the best of both worlds with half fried seafood and half ceviche (fish only). Ceviche and leche de Tigre was super flavorful with spices and lime. I got extra spice and it was perfect. I wanted to drink it right from the small bowl it was that good. My Dad ended up finishing my plate once I got full. He was super jealous of my plate haha! - Ceviche Classico- Also Flavorful and yummy. If you're super hungry this may not fill you up. Hence, why my Dad finished my meal but he loved it! I had this dish during my first visit. It was delicious. - Pescado Saltado...my Mom loved this dish. The fish literally falls apart in your mouth. Every piece was flavorful and drenched in the yummy sauce. It came with rice and French fries and plenty of fish pieces. Overall: I give this place a 5. What matters to us is quality and taste of the food, service and cleanliness. And they deserve 5 stars for Leche De Tigre.
