While everyone should get multiple estimates, the differences were significant enough that I decided to seek other opinions. The most disappointing part was the customer service. I completed a satisfaction survey, emailed management twice, and was promised follow-up calls that never came. As a long-time customer, I expected someone to take ownership of my concerns. That never happened. The technicians I interacted with were professional and courteous, so this review is not about them. It's about the company's lack of responsiveness when a long-term customer raised legitimate concerns. After 15 years, I canceled my maintenance agreement and moved my business elsewhere. According to the technician's diagnosis, the indoor evaporator coil was leaking and needed to be replaced. However, a subsequent licensed HVAC contractor discovered that the outdoor condenser originally tested by Presidential was not actually connected to my apartment. After identifying the correct condenser and testing the correct system, they found no leak in the evaporator coil. The HVAC problem was ultimately resolved by replacing the reversing valve, not the evaporator coil. Because the wrong outdoor unit was tested, I believe the diagnostic conclusions I paid for were not reliable. This resulted in significant delays, additional contractor expenses, and considerable time spent trying to determine the actual problem. I contacted Presidential directly and requested a refund for the diagnostic service, providing an explanation and supporting documentation, but did not receive a response. I understand that HVAC troubleshooting can be challenging, but correctly identifying which equipment serves the property is a fundamental first step before diagnosing or recommending replacement of major components. Unfortunately, that did not happen in my case.
