The brown porter nitro goes into my top favorite beers. Prices are great and I found it to be the better of the breweries in the area. It did get packed during the evening but staff was still quick

The ambiance of a small pub with a lavish delectable menu. The brews are always quality as is the service you'll get from the service staff. I had been wanting to try the homemade pork sausage roll that has apple incorporated. The make the sausage and the pastry surround. I love this place because they are careful with their creations and you can taste the measure of care in your tummy, resulting in an elation of spirit! I first tried the peanutbutter stout but wanted to keep my beer brown and let the sausage speak for itself. It did! Alongside some nice peas and mash with the very savory tasting brown gravy almost buttery like the brown brews! This is one you can bank on! See you all next time! Can't wait -

Service: Spectacular service! Our waitress was a one person powerhouse and made sure everyone in the room was taken care of by manning the bar and the dining area! Ambiance: This looks like a traditional Irish pub (at least a US styled Irish pub. I am not sure what the ones in Ireland look like yet LOL) Food: I wasn't super hungry, so my husband ordered the fish tacos so I can have a few bites. I thought the fish tacos were OK. However, my husband LOVED them! He thought they were delicious.

We stopped for an early dinner. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the steak and ale pie very much.

Unassuming spot in Ellsworth, yet, pretty good! My family visited for dinner and tried a bunch of different plates. The BLT was a hit in our family.

Great portion sizes, some buddies of mine stopped in an enjoyed a few beers. Schoodic Sunrise was a favorite of mine. If you're more of a flight person just ask for the flight card to fill out (max of 6). And the service was phenomenal by Sarah.

Fun, Friendly, Flavorful. You'll be transported to the UK in this classical English pub. At least it's what I imagine an English pub would look like. They serve a uniquely delicious menu. I ordered the Traditional Cornish Pasty and it was very good. The pastry was delicious and so were the mashed potato's and gravy. The peas and carrots went with the dish well though I'm surprised they used frozen vegetables during a time when Maine still has a bounty of farm fresh foods. My husband had a few tasters of beer and ended up taking home a couple 4-packs. That's a big compliment because he doesn't really drink beer anymore.

In town to visit Acadia and we wanted a brewery and we were interested in this menu and beer list. We were very pleasantly surprised! And we came back a second time because the Irish Pub was a bust! In-laws, husband and I ate something different both times so we can say that the sausage roll, steak and ale pie, drunken chicken pot pie, clam chowder (think and tasty) and cottage pie are all delicious. The Miners melt was ok, but sausage roll was better. Beer cheese is rich and yummy too! Their gravy is excellent with a rich stout base. Service was great despite there being one server, (both times!) she was very busy but attentive. This is very reminiscent of an old pub (my experience being Irish pubs but still similar right?) With unique intimate seats and fun decor. Loved the nooks too!

Great beer and toasties. The service is always friendly and fast. The wooden benches need cushions, but the bar is comfortable.

I loved how all of the bartenders and servers seemed to pitch in and help out. There was never the feeling like anyone was focused on just their job. They were all focused on making sure the patrons had what they needed. I was here on a Tuesday evening with my husband and 2 kids, 6 and 10. They don't print a kids menu but readily offer options of burgers, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, pasta with marinara, and pasta with butter and parmesan. My kids had mac and cheese and buttered pasta, which with homemade rigatoni noodles, we packed the leftovers. For cocktails, we had The Balcony is Closed, a delightful gin and lemon cocktail but the honey beer syrup balances it and the chili oil gives it a kick of a finish. I have gin cocktails wherever I go, and I've traveled and eaten far and wide. This is one of my top 3 most memorable gin drinks. We also tried The Assault Continues, smoky and earthy; not my favorite but for my smoky scotch loving husband, it hit the spot. Of course, we had to try the tuna nachos. I feel like so many restaurants try to do tuna nachos and it's been there, done that. But you haven't had THESE tuna nachos. They're spectacular. The ingredients on the menu speak for themselves but they finally got the ratio and presentation just right. It's a work of art. The caprese was also delicious, the stracciatella and pistachios playing nicely off each other. Dinners were rigatoni with short rib, and the halibut. The rigatoni was delicious. The halibut was out of this world. Perfect sear, perfectly cooked halibut in a corn cream sauce or nage, the summer succotash, fresh corn, crisp bacon, salty caviar. I really proverbially licked the plate with my fork. It was special and incredibly well executed. Not to mention the blueberry pie bar and carrot cake were also delicious. Both disappeared in a matter of seconds. We didn't have to fight for or pay through the nose for parking in downtown Bar Harbor for this wonderful dinner. Get the free parking in several lots in town. The city hall parking lot is directly behind the restaurant building. If you like to eat on a budget, this spot may not be for you, but if you enjoy great food and cocktails, I really think the prices are comparable to what you'd pay in other more populated areas. The food is a diamond in the rough.

If it was served with crusty bread instead of a thick slice of toasted bread, it would have been perfect. The nachos were unique and delicious with generous toppings and ahi tuna... also could have been a meal by itself... chef's kiss to those two items! Our entrees were a dish called Gnudi- which if you don't know what they are(we didn't and when we looked it up, it said it is similar to gnocchi- IT ISN'T!!!) ask before you order, if you've never had it, it's very unique and we didn't care for it at all... there was no recourse given by the restaurant... make sure you know what it is!! Our other entree was rigatoni that was topped with ricotta and short rib sauce, shredded cheese... it was tasty, but very pricey for a bowl of pasta... To make a reservation, you need to give a credit card and if you don't show up, your card is charged $25 per person. The service was friendly until we didn't like the Gnudi... then it was a little weird... It was fine, but not exceptional... Cold bottles of water are given to the table and refreshed as necessary. The restroom is not kept up, could use shine attention, a little elbow grease to clean it. They are on Facebook and offer specials on their burgers.

The service is very friendly. I wanted the Strawberry Fields cocktail, but they didn't have so I settled on The Fuzzy. It is very alcohol forward, which most people will enjoy. Not for me personally, as I would have liked more flavor from the infusions, but that's definitely a personal preference. The Blackened Fish Sandwich with a Small Caesar Salad had very flakey fish. I loved the meld of flavors, and ended up devouring my sandwich! The bun held together well. The caesar salad was a decent size and well dressed. Definitely a cool spot to hit for good food and a great pub vibe!

We sat outside and I had what the waitress called a "local Magners cider" and a blackened fish sandwich, which was a nicely blackened cod with tartar sauce and some chips. I ultimately enjoyed it, though admittedly, the Magners did taste better in Ireland. Overall, it was a nice pop in and you could do worse. It's a solid place and I enjoyed it.
