Just had Alejandro stop by for what I thought was going to be a diagnosis of the issue. Our AC seemed to be working normal minus the cold air all of a sudden. He had me turn the AC unit on and within a mere few minutes already knew what was up. Grabbed a few small tools, opened up the unit and confirmed his suspicions that a battery/circuit thing on the compressor was the culprit. I had a two-year contract that included 2 A/C visits and 2 heating visits. I was on my last visit, which was the A/C. Mike was my service tech, and he was amazing. I have never had a tech give me so much wonderfully helpful pointers and tips. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge because he has been at this for so long. Mike did the inspection and told me I needed a part replaced. He showed me the meter readings so that I saw that there was a problem. He did not do any kind of hard sell. The AC in our rental property finally gave up the ghost, right as the summer starting getting really hot. I was worried that it could take weeks before our tenants would have a comfortable home again, but Airmaxx was very fast to come out and provide an estimate (which was significantly lower than the other estimate we got, and for superior products). Rude. Installed HVAC system that didn't pass city code inspection twice. After that I asked to speak with the owner. Owner calls me on a Friday night at 6:40 pm. When I don't answer, he calls non-stop, rather than leave message. When I finally answer, he's rude like his office manager. When I tell him I already know his name as I'm preparing to file a lawsuit against his company, he becomes "nice guy" who promises to call me Monday to fix problem. Monday came and went, with no phone call received. Next day, I contacted another company who discovered that in addition to failing to install proper ventilation for a gas furnace, Airmaxx failed to replace old duct work and just attached to old, existing duct work. (see photo). Also failed to install a proper plenum, which causes the furnace to work harder to push air throughout home. Estimate to fix Airmaxx's mistakes was $3,800.00. I offered to settle out of court for half, approx. $1,900.00, if paid in 30 days. Owner told me he would "never accept my offer the way is was". Called me continuously to argue with me (after I told him to stop calling me and contact me by e-mail only), and went as far as showing up at my front door uninvited and "power calling" my cell phone, and then when no one answered, blocking his number and calling again. This is all captured on my Ring camera. Day 29 of 30 on my offer to settle out of court, company sends me a check labeled "refund". Apparently, Airmaxx's owner can't accept when they make a "mistake", although I do not consider it a mistake when a company fails to install what the customer pays for. Their "lifetime warranty" is worthless. Bottom Line: Unless you like being ripped off, AVOID !!!! read more

I had Gilbert Cortez of Airmaxx come out to assess our air conditioning system. This was the third company I called out about the issue (water leaking from AC Unit). He immediately noticed that the entire drainage system was clogged. He effectively cleaned out the system while offering tips and instruction on how to prevent the issue from happening in the future. He was thorough and inspected the condenser as well as the AC/Furnace Unit. He successfully followed where the drainage pipes ran (something the other companies didn't) and properly cleared them out. He offered suggestions for future work while giving me what I needed to maintain the system currently. I would highly recommend this company. Gilbert was transparent and fair when it came to how he went about conveying what needed to be done. There was a clear separation between what needed to be done and what he would recommend be done in the future. Pricing was fair as well. They came out right away and were able to find the problem, which ended up being several issues. Bradley was our rep and HVAC tech. Cory Edwards Came out to my house, free of charge to give me a second opinion about replacing my whole HVAC system. Since my system is a carrier, I wanted to get an expert opinion from them. First guy tried replacing parts and ended up changing out, my relay valve and telling me the system needed to be replaced For the price of a new HVAC system, I had to get a second opinion Cory figured out the problem within 10 to 15 minutes That includes going on my roof and tearing off the panel on my down stairs unit. Thanks to Edgar and AirMaxx, my AC is working again (so far so good). My AC was turning on but not cooling. Edgar quickly diagnosed it (coolant was at 20%) and filled it up and included a leak sealant to help. Got cold air again and also peace of mind that they didn't just revert right to "replace the whole unit because it is the old R22 coolant which is banned", like another company did to me last year (I ended up just put up with the warmer air for a year). read more

We interviewed 3 companies to install heat pump systems to our home. We had forced air heating via a furnace and vents, but only 2 window air conditioners. Our initial contact and coordinator of our project was Gilbert Cortez. We chose AirMaxx because we liked Gilbert's explanation of what we needed and they had the lowest price of the three companies, as well as being a highly rated company. They also had heat pumps with the newer eco-friendly refrigerant. They suggested replacing our 58 year old ducting in the attic, which they did. We decided on a dual zone solution since we have a great room on the sunny side of our house, which also has a lot of windows and has a high ceiling. For the great room we installed a 2 ton Fujitsu with a remote control. For the remainder of our 1750 sq. ft. home, we installed a 3 ton Carrier hybrid heat pump which works with our existing Bryant furnace. Everything functions perfectly and can be controlled either with an app on our phones or adjusted manually. The installation was completed in one day (big crew). We are very satisfied and recommend this company.They were friendly, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. read more

Airmax is fantastic! They installed a complete new Bosch heat pump HVAC system with 2 zones. The Bosch system works very well and the heat pump has no issue heating our house. It's nice to have the zoning and be able to control the temperature upstairs and downstairs. Alex is very knowledgeable and recommended the right size system to us. His team installed everything within 6 hours and they were very efficient and curteous. There were a few minor follow-up items and they responded quickly and had knowledgeable people come out. Our technician, Sam, was so informative, so thorough, showed us the parts of the furnace and described in detail how a furnace works and what signs to look for when thinking about replacing a furnace. We had a company come out the day before and they told us we needed to replace our furnace immediately or else we could get CO poisoning. Sam was extremely honest. I had a gas leak and called several companies for an appointment. Airmaxx was able to have someone come out same day! Alejandro called to tell me when he was on his way.
