We got a Carrier HVAC installed for the lower level of our house because the previous owner only had air conditioner for the upstairs. We used AirMaxx to replace our old inefficient systems with the new Carrier equipment: 3 furnaces, 3 ACs, and all the ductwork. It was a large project. They did an excellent job that took several days to complete. I also opted for 3 Nest thermostats. I love the Nest products and the ability to be connected to my home from anywhere. Our fan hasn't been working properly for two years and I had questions about our air cleaner as well. Their technician Gilbert came out today. He was very thorough, explained the problem well, fixed the issue and charged a nominal amount for the call. He also made a few suggestions for improvement but did not push to sell us anything. Gilbert showed us that our fan was not working because it had been disabled within the system. Obviously we didn't do that. We have used a well known San Diego HVAC company with three initials for many years. Two years ago we had them do an upgrade to our system. He also showed us where there was tape over the latch that it supposed to keep the system door closed, which is a safety issue. Glad to have found Airmaxx. read more

I was impressed by the five star reviews for sure, but now that I have had the service I can add another five star review! Sam was amazing! My air conditioning has been working way too hard this summer and completely stopped one hot Sunday evening, much to my children's frustration. I did some research online and sought some recommendations. Later that evening, I created a Project on Yelp to solicit vendors to resolve my cooling issue. We upgraded our furnace to a hybrid heat pump system last year. It is not always perfect for a new system to work in an old house. After tuning up several times the heat pump system works quite and efficiently in our current home. This company is good at what they perform. They have very excellent service attitude which is valuable. We don't expect all problems can be solved in one shot so the good service provided us very happy experience. They have expertise in solving problems. We are happy about they completed the jobs. Their prices plus warranty are within our budget. So we have nothing to complain about this point. read more

I am very happy to have found this business based on other reviews here. We wanted a second opinion after our yearly service call and suggested maintenance. I called another company the week before and they never even returned my call. Airmaxx picked up and had someone out later that day. Vladimir was great, looked at our A/C unit and did his diagnostics efficiently. There were no hard sells from the Airmaxx team vs the theatrics that some companies/salespeople put on when they come to your house. We've been in our home for 8 years and never thought about having our heater inspected/tuned up. Airmaxx had good reviews on Nextdoor and yelp so I made an appointment. Gilbert was on time and gave us great advice on a couple of things we could do ourselves to keep our old heater running in good condition. We went with a hybrid system that included the heatpump and gas furnace both. This solution, to us matched our price and performance needs. Airmaxx provided 3 options. First they suggested swapping our exact historical equipment with similar equipment. Second, they suggested the hybrid approach (similar lower price compared to the historical equipment). Finally, they suggested all electric and two zones. This last option was much pricier and based on our estimated timeframe in the home, we elected not to take it. They installed 100% brand new equipment. They price matched competitors which gave me superior equipment at the competitors price. Finally, we had new ductwork installed as well. First of all it is rare for me to give reviews for most contractors, there is always something not quite right. I have worked a long time in remodeling construction and I just want to tell people this was the easiest, cleanest fastest and most amazing install I have ever been witness to. From the beginning visit, Alex was prompt, polite, very clear in his explanations, gave options, was not a hard sell, very informative for options about install and financing. I had many other quotes that had shorter warranties and were more money. Being a Carrier certified installer was also a bonus for me. Due to their schedule, I was able to book an install appointment next day from quote. Here is where I was blown away by their integrity and service. They showed up on time, got right to work at 8 and were completely done, cleaned up and out the door at 1pm. All other companies quoted a 3 day install for more money. Extremely professional, polite and did I say CLEAN? The demo'd the old equipment (40 year old gas furnace and AC, old rusted rigid ducting and insulation). Price out the door was demo and haul away, AC and gas furnace with higher end air filtration system that doesnt require maintenance or filters (pretty cool) tax etc etc. All for a few thousand less than the other companies and done in 5 hours instead of 3 days. Our furnace stopped working on a very cold night this past week. I called Airmaxx and got an immediate response and the technician Sam came out within two hours of my call. Sam evaluated the situation and determined very quickly what was wrong and replaced the capacitor which fixed the blower. Sam was honest, informative, and professional. He told me the three possible scenarios for expense, and for fixing the furnace. He educated me about the furnace function, and the components that could fail. In only two hours he was able to disassemble half of the furnace and replace the capacitor and reassemble all the parts. Airmaxx just replaced our 15 year old Rheem central air conditioner with a Bosch Hybrid Heat Pump system and Carrier furnace. The old system was installed by a local HVAC one or two person company never worked reliably and needed a lot of maintenance. I decided to replace it. Sam from Airmaxx, who has done previous repairs on our system, recommended the Bosch Hybrid Heat Pump system, and after researching it, I found it to be one of the most efficient and reliable available systems today. Sam put together a proposal that was clear and inclusive of everything, including an Ecobee thermostat and all available rebates for this energy efficient system. Installation was done in one day by an Airmaxx crew of three that were very professional. The workmanship was very neat and they left the area cleaner than when they arrived.
