Fantastic service at the right price! I needed a "tune-up/maintenance" on my gas furnace and loved Airmaxx 5-star ratings. I got several quotes and despite having the highest rating, Airmaxx also had the LOWEST Price! They responded within minutes on Yelp and two days later their technician, Vladimir, called to say he was on his way, and then did a great and thorough job testing various components of the furnace, including heating elements and blower, some electrical specs, gas and CO2 leakage. He also replaced the air filter. Also, I noticed the insulation around the furnace was pretty dirty and asked Vlad if he recommended replacing it - which I would have done. But he said there was no reason to replace the insulation - it was a little dirty but still doing its job, so no need to spend the extra money! 4 years ago Airmaxx helped us fix our a/c and happy to report that they are still consistent with quick, reliable service and reasonable cost. Last week, the thermostat went blank and the AC stopped working in our condo. This week, I put out a few Yelp requests for this AC project and Airmaxx was quick to reply and very responsive. The kicker was they come out to service for free. Some other places charge, which makes sense but what if it's an easy fix? Scheduled an appointment with someone who reached out and Alex came out the next day. He called ahead to ask if he could come early and was very communicative and punctual. When he got here, he was respectful about asking if a mask was necessary (re: Covid measures). I have him the info I knew and he was able to check everything out and fix what we needed in a very timely, efficient manner. Price was reasonable for the efforts. At the end, he wasn't pushy and ended up giving possible options for optimizing our current set up. No sales pitch, no hard balling or making you feel bad for not doing exactly what the recommend, which many other companies do (in my opinion, annoyingly). If/when we move forward, we will 100% work with this company again and know we are in good hands. Jeff once again proves that he is the man when it comes to HVAC. I am updating this review because the dude deserves it. Earlier this year we had him come out and take a look at our heater, which was shutting on and off. Within an hour he figured out the problem and the solution. And then, for whatever reason, I never followed through with it. Likely because in typical SD weather, it didn't get cold again and I forgot it. Fast forward 10 months and here we are with more "cold" weather. Same issue, same solution. Jeff was here on a Saturday, ordered the part and installed it on Monday. First off I want to say I'm a little disappointed that air max declined to fix my Split fan system. I have an LG multi split that is less than five years old and is still under full company warranty. However, no one seems to want to work on a system that someone else put in and the original company who installed it.(AirPlus) refuses to work on it, and says they no longer service LG. Pretty crappy business practices but I digress. I'm giving AirmaxX four stars because of Gilbert .... The technician who came out. Alex was amazing, after being called to check on our very old furnace, over 25 years, he discovered the circuit board was broken, but for some reason he could not get it to work the way it should. He had to spend two hours trying his very best, he did not charge me and offered for me to get a second opinion, which I had scheduled for several days later. Airmaxx replaced our a/c and heat pump one year ago year and it stopped working the day before we were going on vacation. The same day we called Gene he was able to come to our home and identify the problem. Unfortunately, he had to order the replacement part so he could not do the repairs the same day.
