Airmaxx is great! They came in with a very competitive quote and communication with Ryan was great. On install day, the team showed up on time. They laid down covers on our stairway and hallways and were extremely respectful of the interior of our home. Install of our system took about 6 hours with a team of 4. My husband and I found it time to change out our HVAC. With the efficiency and the rebate offered in February we decided to switch over to a heat pump system. We reviewed two companies (one we'd been with for 17 years, and Airmaxx). Alex Glozman of Airmaxx, Inc. came out to asses our home and ducting. On his initial inspection he found our ducting was in need of replacement and suggested a zoned system. For the zoned system he proposed a 3 ton Bosch Heat Pump, which we were pretty nervous about since our old unit was a 4 ton (servicing approximately 2200 sq. ft.). This inevitability left us with a lot of questions regarding the system itself and zoning. Alex was wonderful, incredibly patient with us and answered all of our questions. What Alex proposed made complete sense, so we pulled the trigger. We went with 2 zones (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). We are so happy with our new system (Carrier furnace Bosch heat pump); it's quiet, it heats up our home like never before and the new Ecobee thermostats are fabulous! Airmaxx is a pretty unique company, and I wasn't quite sure what to make of them, at first. I ended up going with them and, one year later, I am glad that I did. I solicited four bids to replace my residential HVAC system, and they were the least expensive, by far. The owner, Alex, came to the house and provided the estimate. He spent considerably less time surveying the house than the others, which did give me some pause. Nevertheless, after doing a lot of research, I was pleased to see that they offered nearly exactly the equipment I thought would work best. Other contractors not only were more expensive and offered equipment I was less enthusiastic about, but they tried to upsell me on extras that I didn't think I needed--not so with Airmaxx. To the contrary, Alex actually persuaded me to not get some extras I had been interested in. After initially balking because the quote seemed almost too good to be true, Alex called me and offered to shave off a substantial amount on the quote, making it a done deal. Whereas others said the job would take two days, Airmaxx said it could be completed in just one. They sent out a large crew and easily completed the installation in one day. There were, however, a couple of discretionary things about the installation that I wish they had better communicated to me during the installation. Nothing was a deal breaker, but my advice would be to keep close tabs during the installation, which can be a challenge if work is going on at multiple locations at the same time throughout the house, indoor and outdoor. Just before the one-year mark after installation, a heat pump developed a refrigerant leak. Remarkably, I was able to get same day service (on a Friday), within a few hours. The technician was honest in attributing the failure to a bad flare joint at the time of installation, meaning that it would be covered under warranty. The definitive repair was scheduled for the following Monday, and, as a temporizing measure, the technician refilled the system with refrigerant to get me through a cold weekend. I did take that repair as an opportunity to address the placement of the heat pump, which I had wished I had been more on top of at the time of installation. While this did require a modest fee, it was a negligible cost with respect to how much less expensive their overall costs of installation were compared to other bidders. Shortly thereafter, I thought the equipment might be malfunctioning (seemingly shutting down before it reached the desired temperature). Again, a service technician came out quickly, on the same day, within just a few hours after placing the call. He spent a lot of time troubleshooting and making sure that everything was functioning properly and patiently walked me through the equipment's normal operation so that we could both be confident that it was functioning as intended. (It turned out to be a quirk of the system's algorithms to achieve efficiency, in which it "coasts" down to the desired temperature. One can simply add a couple degrees to get it there earlier.) So, overall several things stand out: -Competitive pricing -Quick turnaround for installation and service -Dedication and professionalism of the service techs read more

My 18 year old furnace died. I sought out four bids for a heat pump hvac system. I found Alex to be very knowledgeable and up front. No gimmick. No pressure. And he followed the rule by applying for the city permit for me. He found different type of rebates for my Bosch system. Pricing was competitive comparing to the other three outfits that offered less. He was able to start work a couple of days after I signed the contract. Said it would be done in one day. This job required a 220v line be installed through the attic, and demo to be done in a tight space. The other outfits said it would taken them at least 2 days. Also, warranty for parts and labor was for 11 years. The day before, a field supervisor came out to inspect space again to make sure all was proper. The crew came early, made sure my wood floors downstairs and upstairs were covered and cleaned up real well when they left. Because Alex was able to send a crew of three so the work could be done in one day. Aftercare was great also. The company responded to my phone questions readily, and sending out a tech to work with me on the new thermostat within a couple of hours of my phone call. The whole process was painless for me. Thank God for Airmaxx. Sam came as scheduled. Saved us more than $4,400. Looked at a parts list deemed necessary by a different company. He told me why each was not necessary then took me to the AC units and showed me the readings on his meter to prove it. And he corrected a problem the other guy had missed. All for nothing but the cost of an inspection. I will definitely work with this company in the future! Vladimir was our tech and came to our house to service a faulty furnace. He texted and said it would take 15 minutes to get to our house which he arrived and then diagnosed the issue. It took him 3-5 to access the problem and 30-40 minutes to put in a new igniter. This was our second time working with Airmaxx, once for a repair about 8yrs ago and this time for a complete replacement of our HVAC system. They are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. The first time we worked with them, the owner Alex came and fixed our furnace in 10 minutes for free after Carini had spent 2 hours just to tell us it was dead and needed to be replaced. Airmaxx at the time also quoted us significantly less if we did want to replace the furnace though it was now working again. 8 years later we decided it was time before the system failed being that it was over 20 years old. Full replacement of our AC and furnace to an AC/heat pump with gas furnace backup and complete ductwork replacement. Price was reasonable and they completed the entire job in one day. They could have spent a bit more time explaining how to work the new system when done but that's really a detail. Overall they are excellent and I wish everyone could operate like them. read more

I initially had a very negative experience with two office staff members. I wrote about it here and that evening the owner Alex read my review and personally called me extremely concerned about what had happened. He listened to what I had to say and fully understood why I was upset. He talked to his staff, so the issue shouldn't happen again and he offered a good rate for installing a new wall heater in my home to make up for the inconvenience. To be fair to him, I deleted my review after he clearly showed that he cares a lot about his customers. Two of his installation staff came out, did the install in a short amount of time and everything is done very professionally. I'm very happy with the work they did. The install required a tad bit more work than the original estimate and he graciously comp'd me on that as well. I wish it had been easier in the beginning, but at the end of the day, they are a solid local business. Everyone has a bad day and we should give them the chance to make up for it. Jeff was fantastic! My AC stopped working during a heatwave (today) and Airmaxx had Jeff dispatched to my house within an hour.
