I called AirMaxx to come service our air-conditioner, because they had some of the highest ratings I've seen for this type of company. And in making my appointment, I realised that they were actually the company that installed my air-conditioner about four years ago. We had a Bosch unit installed and it has served us very well. We hadn't used it much because of the ridiculously high SDG$E rates. But we finally got Solar installed along with a couple of Tesla power wall batteries, so this is the first year we've actually used it to keep the house in the low 70s, rather than the low 80s. Josh was the technician they sent out to service our air-conditioner, and he was full of useful information and tips on how to keep the unit running smoothly. Super nice and informative. He even made an improvement to our drainage trap at no additional charge. As with any service call, I expected it to cost at least somewhere between 100, and $200. Because there was no significant work that needed to be done, the bill for the service call came in at a very modest number far below $100. So I've now had two excellent interactions with this company, : the installation of the HVAC back in 2022, and now the servicing of that unit four years later, by an outstanding technician. read more

I recently had an issue between my thermostat and older furnace where the thermostat kept restarting when trying to heat up our Townhome. We have a Carrier furnace and I knew Airmaxx were a Carrier dealer from quoting an AC install with them. I reached out to Airmaxx and they had someone over at my home in an hour. Alex inspected my thermostat and furnace. He confirmed that the thermostat and furnace were both in good shape, but the furnace did not have enough airflow. He suggested we install an additional vent and filter to help with the airflow. He quoted me a reasonable price then and there and I decided to proceed. Two Airmax Engineers came the next morning at 8AM. I was originally told it would take them 3-5 hours to install the vent, and they had it done in an hour. The vent fixed the heating issue, but the thermostat was still restarting. Alex came back and helped me reset it. Since then it has been working great! Overall, I am very impressed with Airmaxx service and install efficiency. I will 100% use them again. read more

I could not be happier with the AC replacement work completed by Jeff and the 2 installers (Vladim and Roma) at AirMaxx. Every time I have reached out to AirMaxx for our AC issue, Jeff goes above and beyond to not only provide us the details on what the problem is and what he did to remediate it. Never once did I feel Airmaxx was trying to nickel and dime me. They are an honest business, which is rare to come by nowadays, but also have the best customer service I have come across. Jeff was very patient with us as we awaited for our HOA approval to get our ancient AC unit replaced. In those months of waiting, Jeff was responsive and worked with us to the very day of installation. They arrived on time, which pleasantly surprised me and my tenants, and did an excellent job to complete and test the work done. We've done business with Airmaxx for two other ac related projects at another property and we immediately called them for a free inspection regarding our ac and furnace supposed "issues" that were diagnosed by another company that seemed a bit far fetched. We felt lied to and almost pressured into taking on $9k repairs or $20k+ system replacement . So we immediately phoned Airmaxx. Our Airmaxx tech Vladimir was very punctual and thoroughly tested/inspected our furnace. He was very honest and diagnosed what could be fixed in the future but that our system was performing fine and no gas leaks were present at our furnace. He was very knowledgeable and we will definitely be doing business with Airmaxx again because of their honesty and trustworthiness. Giving them a 5 star rating because of Gilbert, our tech, and the integrity of the company. We didn't have work done but they will get our future business and here's why. We had a company come out due to a plumbing issue. While they were there, they conducted another of their services - HVAC inspection. That company tried to convince us that we had dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide coming out of our heating system. They tried to sell us into a $15-$18,000 replacement for two furnaces. We didn't trust the evaluation and decided to get 2 to 3 more quotes. Gilbert came out and calmed our nerves. We had zero emissions of carbon monoxide. He even showed us how the system could be cheated to make it appear as though we did have emissions. But he didn't stop there. He suggested we call SDG&E to have them test as well and not just take his word for it. He also let us know that our furnaces look like they were in great shape. We called SDG&E. They came out and confirmed Gilbert's assessment. Needless to say, he saved us a ton of money and worry. He earned our trust. And that is what brings you repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals. Airmaxx had the best prices out of the 3 companies we saw, though one of them offered to match or undercut the price, we chose Airmaxx because we had confidence in them based on our initial appointment set up and the tech visit. They told us it would be between 6-8 hours for installation. They showed up on time, placed drop cloths down, and got to work. The full installation took less than 4 hours! They cleaned up, left us the manuals, gave a quick tutorial on the thermostat and were on their way. I had bought an Internet-enabled one but was unable to easily install it due to wiring issues. I called SDG&E to light my pilot on my furnace where I found I didn't have a pilot light. The service tech from SDGE said he had been with the company 30 years. He seemed quite knowledgeable said It was ignited by a glow plug not a flame. He tested thermostat and circuit board on my Coleman furnace. He said I needed a new circuit board because it was fried. As I'm getting ready to sell my house, I want to make sure my furnace was working to pass inspection. I didn't know who to choose because in past HVAC services try upsell so much , I dreaded the phone call. I looked on yelp and saw all the reviews and several companies had good reviews. But the immediate impression I had from Alex at Airmaxx he responded within minutes of my Yelp contact. He offered to come out same day, but I had realtors coming to look at the house that day so we scheduled the following day. Jesus Lopez , my service tech. was timely and showed up as appointed time. within minutes he was able to establish the problem. There was loose connections on the circuit board and he was able to make the furnace work. However, about 15 years ago when I first bought my home, I had to replace the circuit board and also the next time the furnace quit operating was actually the thermostat. Jesus was no pressure or tried to upsell me, but I had a quote already from Alex before he came out as I was able to send him the model number of my furnace and a picture of the circuit board because I wanted my home to pass inspection for the buyer,. I chose to replace the circuit board as a precaution and have Jesus replace my thermostat with a newer battery free smart unit. In the past, I was always having to change the batteries on my thermostat and it was hard to get the lid off and not lose the little tiny screw that connected it so now my new thermostat is electronic and battery free, looks very modern and impressive on the wall. And it can be programmed for hot and cold automatically and what hours it should run. I would highly recommend this unit anyone that doesn't have one. Jesus was thorough, professional, respectful.
