Just picked these two drinks like 5 min ago. Off first sip, i knew i was gonna come back! They were both so good, good in a way where it isn't too sweet! Which is why i love going to chinese runned boba/tea shops. They definitely remind me of molly tea and auntea jennys. The two drinks i ordered were: - grape jasmine tea smoothie with jelly (this was bomb! 8.5/10) - oolong milk tea with soybean cheese foam (this was one of their most popular drinks, 8/10, runs on the undersweet side so do 100% sugar if you like it more on the sweet side) Only rating this a 4/5 simply because this is my first time here and haven't tried the other drinks just yet! It's a cute shop, drink was OK. I got the watermelon jelly drink, 30% sweetness. Even with 30% sweetness, it was still pretty sweet. I didn't really enjoy the texture of the watermelon with the jelly. It was a very very chunky drink. I am a boba fan, but I think the chunks of watermelon with the jelly was too much for me. Also between the ice, the watermelon and jelly, there really wasn't much liquid to drink. It's kiosk ordering and you just wait for them to call your number. It took quite a while to get my drink. Came for their opening promotion & while they only let you get duplicate drinks, I loved the Mango Pomelo Sago! Super refreshing, yet a creamy dessert, and loved the fruit and sago balls! I've been meaning to write a review, but kept forgetting lol. Came by a few days after their grand opening, so their menu was still limited at the time with their 6 most popular drinks, but honestly that was better for me because I can be really indecisive because I would want to try them all! Now, I believe their menu should have more items like avocado, watermelon, etc. When I came on a Tuesday around 12pm, it was surprisingly not busy at all (with a few other people sitting and waiting for their drinks or talking with their friends while drinking) and I was able to order right away on the kiosk. I can't rate on service as I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they seemed nice when they were bagging up my drinks. The drinks came out quickly, which I decided to get the mango pomelo sago and the gardenia dew fresh milk tea. The drinks were really good!! For 30% sweet, it was perfect sweetness for both drinks. What I like about their mango pomelo sago compared to other places is that it's not a smoothie. Most places I know make it like a smoothie (which I do like as well), but TeaByDo makes it like a refreshing and creamy mango drink so I can also save it for later without it melting as much! They were very generous with the sago and the amount of mango pieces and grapefruit pulp, which I appreciated. As for the gardenia dew fresh milk tea, the tea flavor was high-quality and had a nice floral-ness to it. The milk was not overpowering and had a nice balance to the drink. Overall, I would definitely recommend, they exceeded my expectations! Also love the interior, there was a good amount of seating and the panda theme is so cute, and I like how they displayed their fresh mangos in a clear display case in the front of the store. There seems to be an endless number of tea shops from Asia coming to OC and TeaByDo is the latest one to arrive in Irvine. The menu is giving HeyTea vibes, especially the best sellers being the Mango Pomelo Sago and Grape Jasmine Tea Smoothie with Jelly. As busy as the store was, service was extremely quick and efficient. There are 2 kiosks to order from and drinks came out in less than 10 minutes. I liked how you can customize the sugar levels. I got 0% sweetness for the mango pomelo sago and it was still very sweet from the natural sugars from the fruit. Thier grape jasmine tea "smoothie" seemed more like a regular drink since all of the smoothie part was melted or nonexistent... We got our drinks right away and it wasn't a hot day at all. A solid new tea spot but nothing crazy amazing that makes it stand out from the many tea shops in SoCal. read more

Always excited when another boba shop opens in OC, there's already so many here but I eat it up every time. There was surprisingly no line when we went! I tried the gardenia milk tea- super floral and light, similar to jasmine milk tea. 50% sweetness was perfect for me! The taro ball milk tea was also really good- a lot of boba shops don't carry taro balls, so I'm glad to have the option here. Tastes just like the ones you get at Meet Fresh, so chewy. I docked one star due to service. It's their soft opening, so I get that they're still tweaking things though. I've never heard of gardenia milk tea before and I asked the worker what it tasted like, and she was just like I don't know. She asked another worker who also didn't know and said she hadn't tried any of the drinks here which was kinda funny. After some awkward convo I ended up ordering it and thankfully I liked it. The worker handing out the freebies for their soft opening also seemed pretty frazzled and was unclear on the rules of how to get the freebies and what promotions were going on. The only worker I had a positive experience here with was the one inside the panda suit- it was super cute and she kept dancing around the store. This is the latest boba shop to open from China with a cute panda mascot and I couldn't resist trying it out. This weekend was the grand opening but surprisingly not too crazy. It's located in the same plaza as Oishi Shabu Shabu where parking can be difficult but there was plenty of parking in the underground garage. The shop is pretty spacious with tables for hanging out. Everything is very on theme with the pandas from the cups to the wall art. They're very well organized and got drinks out quickly. There was a bogo deal for the opening but you had to get the large size and two of the same drink which was a little annoying. The Kyoho Grape Jasmine Tea Smoothie with Jelly ($7.59) at 50% sweetness was refreshing. It's more of a slushie and had real grape pieces in it. The Mango Pomelo Sago ($7.99) also had chunks of mango in it which I liked. 50% sweetness was still pretty sweet but good. The drinks are priced on the higher side but it seems like they use quality ingredients. I didn't get a chance to try their boba because it wasn't available, but I'd come back to try it and their other drinks. read more

I visited during the grand opening and got 4 drinks for the price of 2 and a free magnet. I enjoyed all the drinks I've tried so far! The mango pomelo sago, taro milk tea, oolong cheese tea, and grape smoothie are all really good. Drinks are "not too sweet" and you can adjust the sweetness levels. For the lactose intolerant, I didn't see any alternate milk options. There's plenty of parking in the underground structure. Easy ordering system on the kiosks. Not a the best place to come sit and hangout though since it's so loud and busy inside with limited seating. This is definitely one of my new favorite boba shops! They are also open until 1AM with no caffeine options which is unheard of in Irvine. Will definitely be coming back regularly. read more

Went for their grand opening BOGO and they were packed! I was really surprised at how quickly and efficiently they were able to get the orders ready though so the wait wasn't bad at all. Since it was their grand opening, you can only choose drinks from their BOGO menu and no adjustments can be made. The BOGO also had to be the same drink. This is located in the Jamboree promenade where there are limited surface parking but plenty of underground. The mango Pomelo was amazing! Had real mango chunks, Pomelo pulps and plenty of sago. It had the texture of a mango smoothie, rich in mango flavor. There's no addition of coconut as other places have them, so there's nothing to offset the mango if you prefer the more balanced taste. The Jasmine fresh milk tea had an overbrewed green tea flavor (slightly bitter) with the milk. There wasn't any Jasmine (floral) tea flavor. I'd probably skip out on this drink next time unless they change their base Jasmine tea to have a stronger Jasmine flavor. The signature taro ball milk tea was a good change. The taro balls were nice and chewy but the milk tea itself was standard. Not many places have taro balls as a topping so if you like that QQ taste as you'd get at Meet Fresh, this is a nice drink to try but not for the tea. Will definitely come back to try their other fruit drinks once their full menu fully opens! read more

Came by during grand opening for their BOGO deal, which is running this weekend until Sunday 5/31!! DISCLAIMER: you must order two of the same drink to get the second one free! Tiny plaza, rough parking, and the line was out the door on a Friday night. We waited 15-20 minutes to order & another 15-20 for our drinks. Since each of us wanted the bogo deal, we made our own orders & got 6 drinks total. My favorite was the mango pomelo sago at 50% sweetness, which tastes as expected. Nothing special but also the only drink worth coming back for. Everything else was just ok. Their oolong milk tea with soybean cheese foam was pretty disappointing. The soy flavor was much stronger than the roasted oolong, and the drink just tastes like soy milk. The cheese foam was also thin & melted pretty quickly after a few sips/mixing. I was debating between this & the fresh jasmine milk tea and I wish I had opted for the jasmine instead :') With so many similar boba shops in Irvine, Tea by Do didn't feel particularly unique! My expectation with Tea By Do is really low since there are a lot of Boba places near the area already but wanted to try it. I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago and was able to avail the BOGO deal but you can only choose the same drink in order to avail the deal. The Mango Pomelo Sago is pretty decent, although it tastes the same with other Boba shop. What impressed me is how organized they are from taking your order, making your drinks, giving the drinks to the customers honestly I thought I would wait 30-40mins (just like the order boba shop that recently opened) but no, I waited 10mins only and I think that's pretty good amount of time considering they are having a BOGO deal and there's a lot of people that day too. Parking is a nightmare in this plaza, it's too busy so better have your patience when you want to visit this place. Overall, it was an okay experience. Stopped by after having lunch nearby. I don't know exactly how many different boba shops have opened up in this location. I think I can count at least four in the last few years. TeaByDo is the current name as of June 2026. When we first entered, we immediately smelled an offputting odor. There was an overwhelming scent of cleanings agents and chemical, which didn't go well with an eating establishment. That's great that the place was bright and clean and sparkling new, however it just didn't go well with fruit flavors and tea. We placed our order on the kiosk tablets, which two were available. We waited outside and I received a text when our orders were available. I got the mango pomelo sago at 50%. The recommended was 70% and I think I'll go with that next time as it could've been a little sweeter to my liking. It was filled with plenty of sago and fruit, which I enjoyed. Steep Thoughts: Florence's Quest for (Her) Perfect Black Milk Tea Black milk tea: 1.5/2. I got Oolong Milk Tea with Soybean Cheese Foam, 30% sugar. This drink is solid in my opinion, with a smooth mouthfeel and nice oolong flavor that isn't too floral. It's topped with a soybean cheese foam that adds a pleasant and slightly salty creaminess. Note that there is peanut powder dusted on top. My main gripes are that I couldn't get a black milk tea and that this drink was really expensive, probably because the soybean cheese foam is included by default. Other drinks: 0.5/1. Because I went during their grand opening, there was a limited menu available, and none of the options included black tea. The BOGO offer requires you to order two of the same drink, although you can vary the sugar levels between drinks. This is one of those shops that gives you a fancy bag for your drinks, which is technically more premium but in my opinion is pretty wasteful. Ambiance: 1/1. Pretty spacious for a boba shop, with plenty of space to wait for drinks, as well as some small tables and chairs for seating. FYI that the plaza has an underground parking garage with plentiful free parking. Service: 1/1. Their mango sago was more of a mango juice/smoothie without much else mixed in which I'm sure some people would prefer over other places that add coconut. It was strange at first but the drink was not too sweet and very refreshing and the crunch of the small watermelon pieces were somewhat addicting.
