Worst pedicure ever. Didn't do my cuticles or shape my toe nails. Hardly scrubbed my feet with the pumice. Kept putting on lotion and not rubbing it in but wiping it off. Burned me with hot paraffin. I decided to get my nails done today. I never really do things like that but thought about treating myself. When you have 3 kids, it's kind of an expense you can do without. Walked in and they seemed upset that I walked in, probably should have left then. I got a pedicure, she asked what kind I wanted, I showed her the basic and she laughed and started talking in her language to the other employees there. I can tell they were talking about me. It was ok, I don't enjoy the clipping of the cuticles, they don't clip but pull. Wrong way! I was going to get my nails done after, I made up a story I had to go for my kids just so I can get out of there. When I was paying she kept asking me how I was paying the tip. I never had this problem ever I'm a diabetic so anything can lead to a serious infection. They didn't care or get it. I'd give this place 1 star. Rude manager. He was very annoyed, and at the same time I was too because he tried to make me feel like I don't know what I am talking about. I know what I paid for. They did not listen to what I simply asked for. I don't want to get into too much detail. Overall, he was very unprofessional. He couldn't even direct me to the owner. Belittling a me as a first time customer and lying about all that was requested which was very simple. They left some material on two fingers after asking to start with a fresh set which I paid for. They should have simply started new. I personally and honestly was composed as the manager raised his voice. Fighting his demons was definitely not on my agenda, but politely I was telling him that his tech didn't understand how I wanted my nails to be done. I asked for a soak off, and was told I didn't need one (was still charged for one) I asked for a long stiletto and was told that style was too difficult. The salon looks great online , but when you go in it is slightly unkempt and hot. Windows dirty and the floor was not swept. The pedicure was ok - the timer was set for the pedi so I felt rushed - i had to walk barefoot over to the chair to get my nails done. Lena was very accommodating. She recommended services but she let me choose what I want. She saw to it that my nails were all equal n shape. Even though they're Vietnamese they don't talk in their language they tried to speak in English. Lena was gentle & careful in removing my ingrown especially when I told her I'm diabetic; even in scrubbing my feet she was gentle & careful. I got my nails done on Tuesday & by Thursday my middle finger nail came off. When I was getting my nails done the lady was rushing through my nails she didn't file or cut my cuticles. When I told her to she seemed annoyed & started talking to the other ladies in her native language. Mind you my nails usually last 2-3 weeks when I go elsewhere because I don't do any heavy lifting or anything I do clerical work. Since I was at the Vacaville outlets I thought it'd be convenient to get my nails done here because it was close by. This was my BIGGEST regret!! I wasted $65 on these nails. When I called to tell them about my nail breaking they mentioned it does happen so they'll fix it for free. I come in & the guy is trying to get me to pay for a fill for $45 or a new full set. I said no I just want my nail fixed because I just wasted my money this week getting them done! So the guy does my middle nail a whole other color and sends me out door! I am so disappointed in this place. I was excited to go get my nails done for my engagement party. I just want to start with the fact that they were very kind and trying to help me and figure out what to do with what i wanted. I didn't feel disrespected at all. The 3 stars are for their kindness. I original asked for a tortoise shell French tip nail. They said yes they could do it. When it came to it they said they didn't know how to do it. They tried and it looked awful. I was irritated because why would they say yes then tell me they don't know how and to change the design. So I decided to go with a simple design. Just a nude pink color with a gold outline at the base of my nails. They said again they could do it. Three different techs worked on my nails because I seemed to have been picking the most complicated design. I asked for a nude pink and they said that they ran out. Again, I was irritated. I had spent almost two hours in there, I didn't want to leave with nothing. So I picked a very washed out pink. The gold that they had was basically silver. And the tech didn't even outline my nails properly with the "gold". I hate my nails. I won't be returning. Such a simple design that they can't seem to get right. As for my sister, I swear it was almost her entire nail covered in white for the French tip. Appalling. When you check in there is a sign that says 10% off for anyone on their birthday. Today is my sisters birthday. When the tech was doing her nails she said yes she could have the 10% off. When I went to pay the man said no because she didn't get a "message" of some sort. So she has to come back next year. What a joke lol. The ladies were nice and were really trying but if you can't do something just say so. ZERO STARS: I must echo what many other reviews have stated: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I scheduled an appointment for my mom to get a pedicure. I dropped her off while I ran errands close by. About 40 minutes later, I got a call from her saying that she's done & was ready to be picked up. I arrived at the salon & found my mother walking out of the salon BAREFOOT! I asked her why she was holding her sandals & she said NO ONE helped her put them back on! Apparently, the nail tech who did her pedicure rushed to the next client & didn't even stop to help my mom. Other things to note for the lack of decorum: she offered my mom a beverage & didn't return with it. She also tried to up charge my mom by trying to promote other polishes & designs. Two things my mom clearly stated she did not want. What made it worse was seeing the other techs just watch her walk towards me without even stopping her to help her put her sandals on! I also didn't get the base pink I would've liked. I try to be open minded but she cut so much length that I have been taking time to grow, so it was upsetting. Well, I'm not at all impressed. I came to this shop for the first time yesterday hoping to have a great experience and was met with lack luster energy from the staff. Furthermore their prices are wholly inflated for the so called service that you receive. I walked in and was not welcomed, just asked to "sign in" with no explanation as to what that even means. I was pointed to a chair where I sat down trying to figure out how it works, because again...nothing explained. The Woman working on me did not greet me at all and barely spoke to me. She gave zero eye contact just handed me a "menu" with again....no explanation of services. I guess one drink is included with your service but she never offered me the drink, I had to ask for it which was annoying since this is supposed to be a top notch type of place. I requested the "deal" $55 for a pedicure and manicure and received the most basic pedicure ever and an even more basic manicure. Legs not scrubbed or anything just oiled. Because they charge $15 more for Gel polish I ended up paying $70.00 out the door for some VERY BASIC service and no personal interaction at all so I won't be going back and actually, will likely stop going to these nail shops as a whole. The culture of people running these shops really do not provide good service consistently but they expect to collect these insanely high prices. I'll do my own pedicures and manicures from now on and save my money until a new culture wave opens up nail shops and knows how to provide actual "We want you to come back" service. I'm willing to pay the price for great service but this half azzed service is for the birds. **To the Business Owner : You can continue to only acknowledge 5-star reviews if you want, but the 1,2 and 3 star reviews are the unhappy people where you've lost their business. Pros: clean, nice chairs, good music, free mimosa Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros for me. I got a basic pedicure with French style paint. The limes are uneven and I tried to communicate with the manicurist multiple times to fix it, but she apparently did not understand. I also got an acrylic fill and was expecting to get French tips as well, but she was unable to draw on a white French Tip. She tried about 4 times on multiple fingers before I told her never mind and to just paint it one solid color. Which is now bothering me not having the paint on my toes match my finger nails. I paid $85+$15 tip to not be satisfied. The staff at this Salon need a lot more practice with basic painting techniques. read more
