Sadly this was the worst nail experience of my life. I came in asking for a gel manicure with clear base coat and metallic flames. I showed a picture and was told they could do it. The technician starting doing a "dip" manicure "clear" saying it would be $50 and $30 for the flame design. I was moved to another technician to do gel on top of the dip for the flames. I brought my concern up as the dip didn't look clear (as pictured) and seemed unnecessary as I only asked for a gel manicure. I was gaslit by a different technician that I asked for the dip. It looked terrible and I asked for them to remove it. I was charged $35 to walk out with my nails worse than when I walked in. My past experience here was not as unfortunate. I was coming to this shop for gel manicure and was booking appointment in advance, Tony would have me and my mother sitting there for 30 minutes every time and I had made appointment in advance. For him to be a business owner he's is very unprofessional. and don't have enough staff to accommodate you for your needs. And here's a picture of my nails after two days which I told him that my nails was horrible from when Lena had did them he wouldn't fix my nails. So actually that's a lie you told me you didn't have time to fix my nails and wanted me to pay for my nails which wasn't satisfactory to me. AJ's is thorough and did a good job. My daughter had a great time sitting on their massage chair and getting mani/pedi. She picked out her favorite color and enjoyed the whole experience. I got a great pedicure and relaxing hot stone and leg/feet massage. The gentleman helping me was professional and just kept to his assignment. I was referred to AJ Nail Salon in Vacaville because I was in search of a new salon. I would give a zero rating if I could. I walked in and the man working at the front looked me up and down, then asked if he could help me. Ignoring his negative energy, I inquired if any staff had time for a pedicure. He said, "no" and offered no other comments or alternate times. Just awkward silence. I thanked him and walked out. Needing a pedicure badly I swallowed my pride and went back inside the salon to ask when someone might be available. After a few seconds of silence and avoiding eye contact with me his only word was "3:30." I said I could wait and sat down in the waiting area. I felt I was really compromising myself and thought better of waiting for service at a salon with so little regard for me. So I stood up and proceeded to leave. A waiting customer (who witnessed the lackadaisical and condescending behavior of the male staff) suggested that staff will be able to help me soon. It was obvious she could feel his negative energy. I thanked her but advised I was leaving because I didn't feel welcome. Having heard this exchange the male worker then expressed a (small) bit of interest in my business. But by this time I just want to get out of there. Throughout this exchange no other staff present at the time spoke up either. I don't know what the problem was but it was obvious he didn't want my business. I can only assume it was because of the color of my skin since we had never met before. Despite his attitude and lack of professionalism I was incredibly polite. To the staff at this location I say ALL money is green! If you don't want to help ALL customers get out of the business. Without customers there is no need for you to be there - oh, and you're a minority too so get over yourself! 1st time! We made an appointment the day before for 2 pedicures at 11am. They had no problem booking us when we called. The day of our pedicure we arrived at 11 and they were completely booked, but we were on their appointment list. So that was good! We sat for 10mins in the waiting chairs. Then another lady comes in and says she has an appointment at 11:30, they don't have her booked...being it was very close to 11:30 and we weren't even seated yet. So then they sit us in the pedicure chairs...we wait another 30-40mins. While sitting there another lady comes in and says she has an appointment at 11:30... & there was another lady that had an appointment at 11 for mani&pedi she waiting after her mani was done to start her pedicure... Once they started our pedicure everything was GREAT!! The ladies did a wonderful job! I haven't had a mani/pedi in over a year due to having a baby and it felt great. They actually took their time. They have actual TIMERS to make sure they are doing a FULL 45min pedicure! I APPRECIATE THIS! My only thing is that they should be better at planning and scheduling their appointments...the wait and then multiple other lady's waiting because someone didn't book appointments correctly could be a problem. Best nail salon visit I've had in awhile! They were extremely accommodating when I was late for my appointment. I waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and observed several walkins do the same! The salon was spacious and clean, I noticed while I was waiting that people who had reservations had to wait about 10 - 15 more minutes to be attended to. This nice guy by the counter did my nails and offered me water. I had to have him re file my nails twice because it looked slanted/un even. I also had to request for my cuticle to be cleaned as it didnt look like he was going to do so. It's my first time doing Ombre and I think he did a decent job on it. I had footspa and gel pedicure, their gel lasted for more than a month which is good. It's the first salon I've tried to go to since moving here in Vacaville. highly disappointed... The first time I felt like I got the royal treatment! I had a pedicure and nail dip. With the pedicure they served a glass of wine and the typical chair pedi. My nail dip was pristine and never look so perfect! This time around was not the same. I felt like she was rushing and doing half-ass work! She had the file machine on full speed to take off my old dip and kept burning my nails. Not once did she dip my nails in water to soften them up and she continues to use the file machine to take off the old dip, also did not clean my cuticles or under my nails, and to top it off, I asked her to trim my nails but decided to cut them too short. And in the end, I didn't get hand massage or lotion... sigh But it doesn't stop there. All-day the side of my nails kept hurting. I realized she didn't file the sides of my nail too well that there was extra dip polish on my skin! Ugh! So I ended up filing it myself! Next time, I'm not going back to Kim! If I could give zero stars I would. AJ (Thanh P) , the one that sits in chair #1 is so unprofessional. I went in for a mani and pedi and was not happy with either service. I told them before we finished that I was not satisfied but they didn't care. He told me that if I didn't want to come back I didn't have to. All because they can't cover your whole nail when doing overlay and I politely called them out on it. He told my husband that it's quantity over quality, so I couldn't get a refund. $105 for man and pedi. I wouldn't refer a dog to this place. First time at this nail salon I take my nails and pedicures seriously and I was surprisingly impressed with this nail salon. I like the fact that they are open 7 days a week. I went on a Saturday and they were extremely busy. I would recommend Tony any day although he was busy scheduling and collecting payments he was friendly and knows his craft well. I communicated my wants very clearly before we started and expressed concern during the appointment when things were starting to go wrong but I was reassured it would be fine upon completion. I asked for long ballerina nails in chocolate chrome but left with the bumpiest, most uneven, ugliest, medium length, coffin mocha brown, matte abominations. It took almost 2 hours and I've never been so uncomfortable emotionally and physically. I was cut twice, one cut from the file required the blue stuff to stop the bleeding and another was on my cuticle from the round drill file. I told the guy I hated them. Horrible service. I got there an hour before closing, which in part is my fault but i work long hours and i have a trip coming up this weekend. Upon arrival i was greeted and offered some drinks which i respectfully declined. At this point, the energy shifted. I didn't get the name of the guy who serviced me but I could tell he was in a rush. He was very aggressive and even at some point put both my hands down and said "don't move". I was clicking something on my phone with the hand he wasn't working on which is why i feel like that was so unnecessary. He was so aggressive because he was in a rush but i was getting short french nails..i expected atleast an 1hr and a half of service but was done in 30mins. The nails were chunky, weren't even the same size. At the end of the service he poured cuticle oil all over my hands and said "wash your hands" then just left. I'm not sure if this is normal for this place but I paid a pretty hefty price for this AND i had to take them off right after because of how horrible they looked. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

Please be careful with this salon it was by FAR the WORST nail salon i've ever been to. I have never been treated so poorly at a nail salon. I got a pedicure and a full set and after the pedicure I honestly should have gotten up and left. The man who did my services was extremely rough, rude, and dismissive. He was so heavy handed and would aggressively grab my feet and hands like I was an all around inconvenience. Didn't offer me any water and didn't listen to my concerns. It's hard for me to speak up for myself but when I did he ignored me. I told him to clip my finger nails down twice and he ignored me and went ahead to gluing the tips down. Not to mention he shaved my cuticles down RAW and did not even apologize when I pointed out he had cut me. Also my nails don't even closely resemble the american manicure inspiration picture I showed him but I was so ready to leave that salon i didn't even care. You can't go wrong with Tony, he"s amazing and fast, he's never hurt me, which is huge. He and his wife are very kind and helpful.

Instead of giving us the grand total for our pedicure they tell us it's going to be $65 for acrylic and the pedicure. Mind yk I as we were done and going to pay all the sudden the price now is $95, how does that even work?! Where did that extra money just from from? They need to include EVERYTHING !
