This is a very cozy place, lots of family groups were present at the time we were there. We came on a Wednesday night -- there aren't very many tables, so we ended up waiting for around 20-25 minutes for a table to open up. The staff are constantly moving around delivering food and making dishes, they were so busy that we weren't able to catch anyone to ask about wait times for the first ~10 minutes. They offer a lot of options on the menu, which is an iPad they leave at the table for you, and you order on your own. The menu is easy to look through, and you can easily add more items whenever you want without needing to flag down an employee. They advertised special daily bentos at the waiting area, but they also have a wide variety of regular bentos and other menu items. My party of three visited on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant not packed at all. We were seated immediately. Also when you order a Coke you get the whole can, not a glass filled with more ice than Coke cola. Cost is reasonable and service was good. Ajito is a treat for our family. We love the special bento boxes A, B and C run daily on Facebook and Instagram, and the other regular bentos like the Kaisen, Vegetable & Tofu, Karaage and Unagi options. They are all reasonably priced, huge and diverse (think of a curated plate equivalent to a showcase at the end of The Price is Right!). Ajito's food also seems so much more authentic and unique than the everyday Americanized Japanese food with generic nigiri on unseasoned sushi rice and bland sushi rolls we're so used to finding here, even in Cupertino. Sure, Ajito has all the favorites but their selections, styling, sauces and sides really make Ajito stand out. Beyond the special bentos, a few of my personal fave dishes are the Agedashi Tofu and the Unagi Don. On my list to try next are the Sashimi Salad, Yaki Onigiri and the Takowasa. This restaurant is located across from Home Depot and went to try their bento boxes! The seats are pretty separated from others so it gives a peaceful and quiet time with your friends and family! I really loved their curry so I ordered the katsu curry and it was so good. The curry is thick curry which is a texture that I prefer than the watery curry. We also tried yellowtail and scallops sushi which is delicious. The tonkotsu ramen comes with two fried shrimp and a half cooked boil egg and a few pieces of chicken so if you are looking for ramen with pork belly then this is not for you. The soup was delicious and rich. Please pay attention to their business hours. They have two different business hours. One for take out and one for dine in.
