I contacted Farooq from another site for finding contractors to either clean or replace the 3 indoor units of my mini split heat pump/AC systems in my rental house. He got right back to me and after texting back and forth to agree on scope and price, he made an appointment with my tenant and went over the next day. He got the indoor heat pump units cleaned quickly, was very nice and professional to my tenants, and did a great job. The price he charged was more reasonable than most of the many others I got quotes from. He gave me a 3 year warranty that the units would not need to be cleaned for mold again, which was an unexpected relief. Our AC had gone out and Akko (Farooq) showed up almost instantly after we explained the issue. He replaced a board whose capacitor had gone out and there was some damage due to burning (see picture). He explained what the issue was and with the refrigerant being low he Ali's did a refill. While in the process he also replaced the filter free of charge. Very detail oriented and explained all steps in the troubleshooting. Great experience- I've given his contact info to my sister and neighbor that have also used his services. We had a Lennox digital thermostat that went out, two of the big Heating and Air companies wanted to charge us over 2k to replace it, and scheduled weeks out in the middle of a heat wave in east county. Lennox discontinued the system we have, so the other companies told us we needed the new thermostat model and the whole system needed to be rewired to accommodate. I found the unit that went out online, and after contacting many flakey heating and Air companies, AKKO (Faruk) came out and had it installed / working quickly for a really fair price. They were great people, fair, and did great job. If you don't want to be completely taken advantage of by big companies, and want to be serviced by a polite, competent, heating and air company that show up when they say they will, do great quality work, I'd give Faruk and AKKO a call! They are great! (Ohh, and side note. Stay far away from purchasing a Lennox Heating and Air System. Super overpriced, horrific costumer service, the system has broken down multiple times in the 5 years we've had it. They discontinue products without having a reasonable replacement product available, and they have licensing agreements with only a couple of the large service companies that make you have to use them, and they know they have you over a barrel. After AKKO installed the thermostat, we still had to call this other "authorized company" to come out and put in their dealer code which we found out we didn't even really need, a 1 minute job where they literally type in a freak'n number, and charged us a lot more than AKKO did to actually install it. ) Do yourself a favor, and call AKKO. After years of enduring the summer heat with just fans, we finally gave in. Our unit was 24 years old and we had been calling companies for years trying to figure out what we could afford but was a good model with high SEER ratings.  I called Farooq on a Tuesday, he came by on Thursday. We talked about what kind of ac I wanted and he suggested an acpro Xseries condenser unit. We needed to replace the 4 ton furnace, ac condenser and 4 ton evaporator coil and all the components with it, which acpro sells as a package deal.  He ordered the package on Friday. Next Tuesday, 1 exact week later, Farooq showed up with his sidekick awesome son Joseph. They were at my house at 8am, taking apart and setting up for when the package arrived at 1030am. By 330pm, my complete installation was done.  He gave us a GREAT!! deal. I saved at least $5000 I'm sure because of all the quotes I have received over the years, especially in the last 2 months.  He did an amazing job and he's very clean! He had a recycling man come over and pickup our old unit while installing our new one. I would definitely recommend him.  Don't let his accent deter you. Ask questions and he communicates very well. Also, it's been 4 months since he installed the ac/heater unit.....and I only used the wonderful ac. I recently used the heater and it was much hotter than I expected. Worked too well!
