My vehicle failed smog due to a leak and a P0420 catalytic code. I was being quoted thousands to replace the catalytic converter. I gave Thiago a call and told him my situation, he offered to come take a look and diagnose the vehicle thoroughly. He found the coolant leak right away, the reservoir was cracked. He ran his scanner and looked at the data and recommended we change the oxygen sensors first. He stated this would be the least costly option to try initially. But making me aware the catalytic converter could also be faulty. Nonetheless, I trusted his expertise and judgment. He scheduled me for an appointment and serviced the vehicle a different day. Job was completed and re ran his diagnostic tool, reset my codes and checked the data. The codes disappeared but informed me the drive cycle needed to be completed. 1 week later now and no codes have returned ! And I passed smog ! He saved me thousands ! I had called Thiago for help with a pre-purchase auto inspection. Initially was pleased with services, he was on time, responsive and answered my questions. It wasn't until afterwards where my wife told me about his behavior during the inspection. When showing her under the hood of the car, he would squat unnecessarily and has his phone pointed in a direction it should not have been. At first she thought it was an accident, but he repeated this behavior multiple times while showing her under the hood(no reason to be squatting while showing this).
