They said it was the same as Alfonso's and that they just moved. I must cater from Alfonso's at least 2-3 times a month so I ordered... Not only did they charge an extra "catering" charge (which technically it was delivery for about 10-12 people) but the food was NOT the same as Alfonso's used to be. The portions were much smaller, and sauces seemed watered down or less tasty. Even the pizza was not very good. Why bother putting food in a half tray if you don't give enough food to cover the bottom of it? Oh, and charge me for a half tray? One star because the driver came on time as promised. read more

This place is like a local Olive Garden. The entree and pasta dishes come with a salad that is served family style. The salad was surprisingly good. I got the altered fettuccini, and my friends good penne with vodka sauce but substituted the penne for angel hair pasta and added chicken, eggplant parm and chicken Frances. All the portions are quite large, with almost all of us taking leftovers home. The taste is decent, pretty comparable to Olive Garden. Definitely not even close to being the best Italian food, but does the job if you're craving a big plate of pasta in the area. read more

I just had a family event with around 90 guests and Al Fresco's went above and beyond for us. They were extremely flexible with letting us do what we wanted to do for this event and accommodated to any need as we had. Had a five course meal for a party. Pasta dishes were bland, watery and pasta was overcooked. Eggplant parmesan was a little too thin..felt like you were eating breading and cheese. Chicken marsala was decent. Overall..the place was ok. But nothing that makes me want to come back. read more

I dared to try this place again. I am so sorry we walked back into this restaurant. We arrived for lunch, and the place was practically empty, except for three tables. There was one waiter, who was also the ONLY person on the floor. This would have been a really bad dilemma had there been a lot of tables to seat, wait on, clean, and run payments. However, this wasn't the case. OK, put the short staffing aside, and let's get to the heart of the ONE STAR. The food was not good at all. The three of us ordered three different meals. I ordered the penne & vodka, and it was tasteless. My mother ordered one of their sandwiches that was to come on their raved about focaccia bread, but they did not have any of their focaccia bread. Instead, it was served on a stale bun. My husband got a chicken sandwich, which after one bite remained uneaten on his plate. (NOTE: My husband will never complain about food, and eats meals that I find out later he didn't care for at all.) Our Family have been ordering and coming to Alfresco's on weekly basis. We have loved to come there always, amazing food, very friendly and accommodating stuff..our kids(4 Yrs+9 yrs old) enjoyed having lunch there too. This place have become our "Family get together place" after some period of time..Until their pizza delivery person damaged our garage door (and accidents happens..no big deal, we are very easy and understanding people) However, after contacting the owner in this matter (over the phone) we were very unpleasantly surprised how arrogantly and disrespectfully he was handling the situation. He just hanged up on my husband saying that we are trying to rip him off.. We had my daughter's baby shower at Al Fresco's this past weekend. While the facilities were nice, modern, clean. The party room was cozy and the setup for our event was fine. We were disappointed that there was no "service". No one was attentive to the needs of our guests. Food was family style with VERY SHALLOW helpings. While we did select the menu before the event and had no issue with the food, it was the quantity that was my issue. We were assured that bowls would be refilled; that did not happen--not once was a bowl of pasta, chicken or rolls were refilled. Guests had to walk to a table for beverages (limited to Coke, Diet Coke, water and Coffee). I was also charged $80 for 20-24 mozzarella sticks. When I went to pay the bill, I mentioned that I did not believe $80 was appropriate for the small count of mozzarella sticks, their only response was "You could have asked for more." They were not willing to adjust the bill in any manner. I was very disappointed and would suggest you go elsewhere. read more

We went for the two-for-one pizza night, ordered one plain and one half sausage and half sausage, peppers and onions. Pizza came out cold. There was barely any sausage on the half with peppers and onion. We mentioned it to the waiter. His response was "it's there,just covered by the peppers and onions". Not so! We went here for the first time this evening and loved it. We started with fried calamari. We got a very generous portion that was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.One of use had a Chicken Parmesan that was crispy and juicy. The rest had seafood dishes - the Fettucine Carnavale and Salmon Porto Fino, which came with a luscious lobster sauce that made me wish I had a spoon, and the Pan-Seared Red Snapper, which was light and flavorful. The all the fish was perfectly cooked. I also ordered my meal with gluten-free pasta. I was a little hesitant to order it because I've never had good luck with it before, but I decided take a chance. It was the best GF penne I've ever had. I wish I could make it like that at home. Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was still friendly and attentive. There was only one minor disappointment with the dessert. We ordered Tiramisu, which, although it was tasty, it was mostly whipped cream. You really had to dig through it to get to the cake. All in all, though, this restaurant was good experience and a good value. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, the restaurant is warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated, and the service is gracious and attentive. it was a wonderful meal and we will definitely be back. read more

The service was pretty good, our waitress was pleasant and checked in on us. The food portions were huge. My daughter ordered a "small calzone" and it was bigger than any other pizza place I know has served. The children's chicken fingers and fries was large enough for an adult. My arugula salad with salmon was ok... the salmon was little over cooked. It's a typical Italian / pizza place. The decor was nice, however, the place smelled funny. I expected to smell pizza or the wonderful smell of Italian food. Instead, I smelled damp wet mop. The cups also did not smell clean. I've worked in chain restaurants before and know the smell of the dish-washing section in the kitchen. read more

We meet friends for dinner monthly and the food is good, the wait staff is very good. My husband and I also frequented the restaurant. However, the host at the podium is terrible. He takes people out of order when there is a long wait. We arrived and were told 20 minutes, 40 minutes later people behind us were seated and we had to push him to seat us. Our next visit he was very rude, obnoxious and arrogant to us and we ended up demanding to speak to the manager. The host continued to mouth off to us. This is the former 'Alfonsos 202', same great staff, different and upgraded location. Waiters and waitresses are very friendly and nice. Food is really, really good - I think it's even better than it was before! Prices are amazing, especially if you hit it on a Monday or Tuesday night (pasta and pizza specials). Seems like there is more of a wait on a Monday night than there was before, but it is well worth the wait. The new place has a bit of an expanded menu too...never had something we didn't like or I should say, love. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Really nice atmosphere and really good food. Compared to Alfonso's on 202, it is VERY different although I believe this is the same place only moved. If that's the case, I don't see why it was not publicized more. I found it confusing to go to this new place as it is kind of the upscale cousin of Alfonso's and very dissimilar. I doubt soccer teams, etc will be coming here but I guess this new place is not going for that clientele. As Bensi had a liquor license was also confused that Al Fresco did not.
