My absolute guilty pleasure! A small shop that delivers big time. Inside the shop you have a small area for sitting, water jug and freezers with ice cream pints. You can try any flavor before committing. They always have one or two vegan choices. The service is always top notch. Go and enjoy a sweet treat you will not be disappointed!

A lovely shop serving ice cream, sandwiches sundae's and cakes they also have ice cream floats. We tasted a few flavors before deciding our picks I had vanilla bean English toffee that was delicious my companion chose Turkish coffee flavor which was also delicious. The people behind the counter were super welcoming and helpful. You do have to pay for parking at all times 7 days a week since the meter maids writing tickets are very good at catching everyone! You've been warned.

My favorite ice cream spot in Walnut Creek and my go to for years. It is so creamy and delicious my go to favorite is salted caramel but today they had tiramisu and I love tiramisu oh so heavenly on a warm spring day.

It's ice cream that's creamy so what's not to like. I liked the fact they have both mini double and double so if you don't have a big appetite you can order mini double for two flavors. I enjoyed every flavor I had there especially the dark chocolate which is very rich and flavorful. The place is cozy and old school and although it only has a bench for eating indoors it's good enough. Service is good enough for ice cream parlor and decor is very old fashioned which fits the theme. It's on the main street so perfect for a quick stroll after dinner here.

It's no wonder this place is so popular: the ice creams are next level creamy, almost gelato-like and stretchy and dense and viscous. I loved the prominent bourbon notes in the bourbon almond fudge, but the standout here is the vanilla salted almond toffee - the vanilla snacks you in the face and the toffee is exceptionally buttery and toasty from the cooked almonds. Love that they are open till 11 pm on the weekends, too!

Mostly here for their ice cream cakes. We tried their ice cream scoops and pints before, but found items to either be too expensive ($7 for a scoop), too sweet (holy vanilla!), or something off (so excited for Thai tea ice cream, but it wasn't consistent), but we love their ice cream cakes! Small shop, but tons of flavors here. Service has been fine the several times we've been to Lottie's. They don't have their cakes on display, and we didn't order in advance, so we asked if they had any in stock and they'd tell us the flavors they have available. We usually go elsewhere for ice cream cakes, but Lottie's was convenient a couple times so we spent a bit more on pretty and delicious cakes First one we tried was a mint ice cream cake. Thin brownie on the bottom, and mint chocolate chip ice cream and crunchies throughout. It's that fresh mint flavor, and it was pretty good. Nicely decorated, along with an ice cream cone and scoop on top. The second ice cream cake we tried from Lottie's was a vanilla one. Same crunchies and brownie bottom. My son and I weren't a fan of the brownie portion, but we liked the rest of it. Beautifully decorated as well. They provided a happy birthday decor for the cake. Will def come back once a while and prob place a cake order in advance to guarantee specific flavors.

There are many interesting and unique ice cream flavors that I didn't know what to choose! Luckily, we were allowed to sample any flavor we wanted. The staff also, described the flavor of the ice cream and what was in it which I thought was helpful. The scoops are huge and the taste was amazing. I will definitely come back to try more of the different options and maybe grab a pint too.

5 stars for My fave sundae everrrrr. Appropriate customer service. This creamery's popularity can have a long line at times. Creamy texture to ice cream and unique flavors makes this place relevant! Prices comparable to other specialty ice cream shops

I'm not sure why all the negative reviews. Perhaps customer service improved, as I had zero issues during my visit. The staff was super helpful and patient, offered many samples, and gave recommendations. The ice cream was pretty good, not the best I've had, but it still hit the spot.

I got one scoop of vanilla bean ice cream in a cup. Although it was very creamy and good quality in my opinion, the flavors were absolutely odd and nothing caught my eye. I ended up just going with vanilla because everything else sounded gross. There were no standard ice cream flavors available like cookie dough, cookies & cream, chocolate, etc. There was like lemon custard, honey. I wouldn't come back because of this and would rather try something else in the area, but if you like odd ball flavors, this place is for you

Found street parking nearby and came by for dessert a little after 9pm. There wasn't anyone in the small shop when we arrived, so we took our time to look over the flavor options. While debating between all the different options, I noticed how they had little colored stickers on all the flavor signs for those with food sensitivities/allergens/restrictions, which was great! I sampled both the orange blossom honey and milk tea + biscuits, and while I enjoyed both, I really enjoyed the tea flavor in the milk tea + biscuits as well as the crumbly texture of the biscuits so I decided to go for that one. Many of my friends also opted for that flavor as well, and I'd definitely recommend it. Service overall was pretty standard, and I don't live close enough to the area to see myself coming back, but if you're close by and looking for an ice cream shop to check out, you might like this one!

Stopped here for dessert on a Thursday after 9pm and surprisingly it was still open. The lady helping us was very friendly and we were able to try some ice cream. We didn't feel rushed at all. I tried the Ethiopian coffee ice cream and it was ao creamy and good.

Absolutely the best way to cool down! I was thrilled to discover Ice Monster in Walnut Creek! Not only can I get an authentic Taiwanese shaved ice, but they have an incredible variety of ice flavors (strawberry, mango, green tea, etc) and toppings. They also have boba tea (which also originated in Taiwan), milk tea, regular ice cream, freshly cooked Chinese finger foods, and more. The place has tables inside and out and is always immaculate. I also really appreciate that they don't add the problem of landfills overflowing with plastics! They use real dishes and real silverware. I don't know of any other place that conscientious. I have been going here for 8 years. It was started by a couple from Taiwan and the owners the last several years are from China. They keep the place open seven days a week, but even with that grueling work schedule, the customer service is always fantastic. They go out of their way to keep their customers happy. Apparently, I'm not the only one who loves the place, because when school gets out, the place is filled with teenagers and families with children. It's a great place to hang out. I've tried other places in the East Bay, but this is my absolute favorite place for Chinese shaved ice, boba tea, and other yummy foods. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Poor, old, formerly great Fenton's. I grew up in Piedmont, I've been going there all of my life…read more Nowadays, I avoid going in, because the service was so rude so many times, I gave up. But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this. Sad.
