So many businesses have left, including, but not limited to, Dave & Busters, Buca di Beppo, Starbucks and Big City Diner, to name a few! Thankfully, there is long time tenant Consolidated Ward theater. Yes, it's a big screen movie theater. The movie seats are worn and somewhat tattered. Oh, but the memories made here watching movies on the big screen! The visual impact and sound system takes it to another dimension! The air conditioning is great during the hot summer months. Parking is still free here! Bathrooms are available for patrons. New and old establishments such as Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe, Salon Bobby & Guy, L & L Barbecue and more are hopefully here to stay. Value depends on your budget and your desires lol. I love movies, so I'll still keep coming here. Support local!

I just think it's cool that the "Like Like Drive Inn" nostalgic sign is kept as Ke'eaumoku Street has transformed to a much more modern and no stranger to luxury high rise condominium this little shopping area is a piece of gem and is home to quite a few places that we all do enjoy whether it's some snacks at Wholesale Unlimited to bites at Kyochon Chicken, YogurStory, or to just grab a drink at Teapresso Bar the parking here is all free and nothing beats that. I've even gotten my pedicure at Gradient Nails there's so much here than what you can see with lots of various services available here is a small spot. Parking entrance is on Ke'eaumoku Street while you exit on Kanunu Street and is quite tight especially at the corner area so it can be challenging for larger vehicles though with various great local biz they have here it can get filled though I think it's worth the visit. Banchan House is in N Cat's place. YogurStory replaced Like Like Drive Inn. Welcome to all of the new businesses and wishing continued success to current and new tenants! Ward Gateway Center, on the corner of Ward Avenue and Auahi Street, has free parking and a great variety of stores and restaurants. Besides Starbucks, Bale, Korean BBQ Express, and Jamba Juice (too bad Ross has closed down... and Wahoo's Fish Taco), this is the home of Ohana Hale Marketplace. This venue used to be Sports Authority... and before that, it used to be GEM... back in the day... I can't say enough good things about Ohana Hale Marketplace. It provides a great start for many small businesses. It's like an indoor swap meet! The variety of cuisines (Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Filipino, Italian, etc.) and local vendors is astonishing! There are many gift items and handmade crafts waiting to be discovered!

Head over to Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center (KBSC). Established in 1971, KBSC has been serving the Kamaaina and visitors on the Windward side. It houses big name tenants of Safeway, Goodyear, Long's, Starbucks, Panda Express, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Central Pacific Bank, First Hawaiian Bank, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, Petco, 7-11, and Diagnostic Laboratory Services. A lot can be accomplished at KBSC and can get good deals on $5 Fridays at Safeway or grabbing a massive plate lunch from L&L or create your own Chinese plate from Panda's, which makes a popular restaurant for grab and go. The closure of Kaneohe Bakery and Deluxe Pastry Shop in recent years had residents of 96744 yearning for breakfast treats but step in Donut King, which opened earlier this year in KBSC. You can also fill up gas at Kaneohe Bay 76 (Union 76) and grab a Musubi and a slurpee from 7-11 that's conveniently located. You also have a Starbucks and Jamba Juice on property as well. There's lots of parking in this structure which makes it ideal to run errands here but why not 5-stars? Couple years ago they repainted the parking stall lines and decided to make the stall narrower which makes it frustrating at times to park. You will need to pay extra attention, especially when a large number of patrons come to KBSC with trucks and vans. This makes it challenging to park here and many times will witness cars either hugging the lines or clearly pass the borders. KBSC is still going strong with so many options to shop and run errands with lots of parking which makes it a great place for locals and visitors.

Like LONGS OR WALMART & there was a burger joint on the other side. Even a Jamba Juice. Not sure how long that stays open but, they have a variety of places to eat here! I went to eat at SUMO RAMEN. Dad & the kids went to L&L's and Pandas. Typical LOCALS! I'm the ONLY ONE in the family that LOVES TO EAT AUTHENTIC FOODS! I'm NOT spoiled or ritzy! I was just taught well by an aunty on where to eat and HOW to eat well. My husband on the other hand, was taught how I just EAT! Although my kids DO eat what I enjoy, they will always pick local style foods over ethnic or authentic. But YES! This place is DEFINITELY WORTH THE LOOK! Oh! They also have a GOODYEAR HERE TOO! So if you ever need your tires fixed, go here so you have options to shop around at. And if you're there during the morning or afternoon, well you're in luck cause, they're literally right across the street is the MALL! So you have so much options just stopping off here. The selection is limited but it is perfect, not over whelming for 1 person to do everything. Value, is good.. portion control for the small eater.. We found parking in the Eaton Square parking structure... but had ISSUES when paying!! It kept saying "not valid", but on the lighter side the "help" button worked and a we talked to the most helpful PERSON who eased the tension to get out of the building. We paid the $6 and went on our way.

The area is very quiet and there's actually a lot of tables to sit down and eat your food. May be a problem when it rains though as it is an open air sort of seating area. Ke'eaumoku Plaza shares the same parking lot with Sam Sung Plaza, but they have different addresses. Located across from Walmart, Ke'eaumoku Plaza is located at 661 Ke'eaumoku Street while Sam Sung Plaza's address is 665 Ke'eaumoku Street. Some of the tenants of Ke'eaumoku Plaza are currently: Wen's Tea Malu Subway King of Thai Boat Noodles Mimi's Peruvian Cuisine HiBlend I'll get a photo of the sign on the Ke'eaumoku Street side of the building next time. Ke'eaumoku Plaza is no different as it seem like they share the same lot with Sam Sung Plaza though what's the difference I have no idea. An evening out with the besties Nadine and Debbie took us to Malu which I haven't been to in awhile but do love their desserts which constantly gets me through their Instagram is such a work of art. Well Ke'eaumoku Plaza holds several other tenants that I have yet to visit including King of Thai Boat Noodles and Mimi's Peruvian Cuisine. My bestie Nadine was smart enough to take photos of the parking rates which is reasonably understanding as it's super convenient even though the lot is small considering the amount of tenants they provide it for vs street parking is even more difficult to find. Here's a tip once you arrive the parking attendant does ask where you're going and if you say you're just doing a super quick pick up like at Wen's Tea (which I've done) they will give you that grace time to do so without a ticket, mind you should do it quick and I always thank them for allowing me to do so easily as that convenience is so appreciated. For many reasons is there many have since closed and moved on it's so sad to see from way back in the day what this area has been so vibrant and fun location is now bare and depressing. Thankfully there are still many great biz here including Starbucks, McDonald's, Auto Zone, Ono Loco Tacos and Texaco it's obvious of the huge void in a couple of anchor spots and has been for several years and have yet to hear a peep of anyone occupying the vacant spaces. Not sure how this Marketplace is surviving but hoping it does and return back to life like how it used to be especially when they demolish the Aloha Stadium that's a whole new craziness. Thank you!

An underrated shopping mall in the underbelly of Honolulu: City Square Shopping Center. It is…read morelocated in Kalihi...and, no Kamehameha Schools doesn't own the property. They have a little bit of everything from bakeries to grocery stores. The venerable Kamehameha Bakery opens at 200a on weekdays but most establishments open their doors between 800a and 930a. The Marketplace - a seafood and farmera market in one space - opens at 800a; they have food vendors inside if you want takeaway. Lots of eateries...a couple of salons...and Kalihi Pet Center. Four low-rise buildings make up the center spanning from Dillingham Boulevard to Kalani Street. Yes, until the rail is finished in this area - traffic is horrid. Entranceways / exits are on Kohou Street and Kalani St. Lots of parking stalls for patrons. Hours are primarily between 800a and 400p for most businesses.

I do come here for many of the business and honestly it's in The Markeplace at City Square which is the place right beside Chuck E Cheese and it's to sharpen my knives at AFrame. This area is in the midst of the crazy rail project as it's heading directly in its path for us to access yet you don't have to entree via Dillingham as the roads are nuts along with Kohou Street is closed for traffic just use the other entrance from Kalani Street as it's filled with so many great local small biz and lots of free parking it's the place to get lunch, produce shopping or just a Sip like I did at this new spot that just recently opened. Whatever it is they basically have it and I just can't avoid it even with the crazy construction going on in fact makes me want to support these biz further. Thank you!
