We happened to be in the area to take one of our pups to a specialty vet for some tests (she's fine thank goodness!) so had a few hours for lunch before we could pick her up. Saw this Lebanese restaurant and jumped on it! It's in a strip mall but nice inside with some lovely photos and artwork from Lebanon. Tarek our server was so pleasant and helpful as we were deciding what to have for lunch. We both chose a combo platter and he recommended the salad and a delicious eggplant moussaka (Lebanese style, not Greek). The pita bread served with the meal was fresh and hot and the hummus was amazing (we judge all hummus to see if it stands up to the one Cafe Rakka in Hendersonville, TN serves and this one came close!). The lamb and chicken were both perfectly cooked and spiced - so delicious! Hubs had a wonderful Moroccan green tea. Tarek surprised us with a taste of the baklava and the basbousa - both were excellent - I had not had basbousa before. It is a semolina cake soaked in a sweet syrup - my new favorite middle eastern dessert. Honestly, we would drive here just to eat lunch again. read more

I've been craving Middle Eastern food for a while. This was my first time here, and I'm so glad I gave them a try! They're close by, in the shopping strip on 436 in Casselberry. A little hidden gem. I had the vegetarian platter with baba ghanoush, hummus, bread, salad, falafel and tabouleh. It was fantastic! The flavor was there! The portions were great, and it's definitely something I would order again! I guess got the soup and cheese bread combo, which was delicious as well !! The service was very good. It's run by a family, and they're very sweet and kind and took very good care of us. When the restaurant was dead, except for the staff, but it was lovely with music in Arabic. This unprepossessing place is utterly delicious. The flavors are subtle (interestingly different take on baba gnoush and phenomenally smooth hummus). The lamb and chicken kebabs are moist and beautifully spiced. The least interesting dish was the beef schwarma which itself was more than serviceable. Given the quality of the food and the extremely personable owner, this place deserves a higher profile. If you like Lebanese food, you need to try it. read more

I hate to admit it, but I've lived less than 2 miles fro this place for 14 years and have only just tried them last week! I wanted something healthy-ish and Mediterranean sounded good. I, of course, over order because i wanted to try several things. The baba ganouj was smoky and delicious. The Sfiha did not look like the pictures on their page. It was more a pizza than puff pastry, which was slightly disappointing, but still very tasty! The mashawi was a mix of meats and was pretty good. The chicken was just slightly on the dry side, but the lamb was delicious. I'll just order the lamb next time. Staff was super friendly. I hated seeing them empty, but because of COVID there were no patrons. I hope they are busy for takeout! I'll definitely be a return customer. read more

Doesn't look like much from the exterior but the hospitality and food is a 10/10. Aladdin's Restaurant is the best Lebanese food I've had in Florida since moving here over 2 1/2 years ago. The restaurant is situated in a strip center, next to a gas station. Although, not the best location, there is plenty of parking which makes this spot great. Upon walking in, the restaurant is decorated very minimal but, don't let that deter you. I've found through my travels of living in different cities and states throughout the U.S.; some of the best restaurants are the mom and pop owned establishments, like this one. I ordered a vegetarian combo, shish kafta kabob dinner, and baklava for dessert. OMG! The hummus - rich, creamy, smooth, and delicious! The grape leaves, kibbeh, beef kafta, and baba ghanoush - AMAZING! Each meal was served with a house salad that is made with homemade dressing that was out of this world! Even the baklava for dessert was such a sweet treat! Not to mention, how kind and hospitable the owner and his staff were. Overall, I give this place 5 stars because the parking was great, food was amazing, and service was very kind and cultured. This a a Lebanese restaurant and the owner was happy to come by the table and assist with our order. I believe the owner may even be the one who prepared our meals. The restaurant itself is spacious with lots of tables and a handful of booths. This restaurant has been open for almost 25 years so you know they are doing something right. They are located in the end of the plaza next to WAWA. The owner even suggested if we'd like to call ahead next time he would have our food ready for us when we arrived. The soup we ordered was very tasty, the chicken dish was very tasty with a heavy dose of couscous and the sampler platter gave us an opportunity to try a number of the appetizers. Stopped in for lunch on a recent weekday. Delicious authentic food, freshly prepared. It's a small storefront shop, in a nondescript strip mall - you have to be looking for this place or you'll drive right past. The decor is little dowdy, and there was only one other patron at lunchtime. Service was polite and friendly. We each ordered from the Express Lunch menu, trying the Shawarma, the Shish Tawook and the Shish Kabob. Each is served with salad. Salads are right-sized for a lunch appetizer. Vegetables crisp and fresh, lightly dressed and served with warm pita. The Shish Tawook is grilled skewered cubes of marinated chicken, served over long grain basmati rice with grilled vegetables. The chicken was a little dry, but very tender and the garlic & herb marinate made each bite delicious. Shish Kabob is skewered cubes of marinated lamb, grilled perfectly medium. The lamb was tender and juicy and scrumptious and served with grilled green pepper, tomato and onion over a bed of basmati rice. This was excellent. Shawarma is slices of marinated chicken, in this case served over hummus. The chicken is cooked well - moist and flavorful. Hummus is creamy with a little bite from the garlic and perfect on the warm pita. The check was $35 for 3 including soft drinks, so about on par with what you'd expect for lunch. It's unfortunate that a restaurant with food this good is in such an out-of-the way spot. The food is good, the owner clearly relishes what he's doing. I would normally give this place 4 stars but my last visit left a bit to be desired.. First this place is very authentic and it shows from the flavors. I haven't found Leboneese food this good in the area . Unfortunately the presentations are inconsistant as I order chicken schwarma one night and the accompaning tomato and onion are grilled. Excellent food! Started with hand made pita and hummus, outstanding! Someone else mentioned the salad and dressing... Oh my! That stuff should be bottled!!! Had the Chicken Couscous which includes a large portion of root veggies and squash, delish! The Shish Tawook (marinated fire grilled chicken with fire grilled veggies over basmati rice) was very nicely flavored and moist and the falafel on pita was great! I would have liked more veggies (fresh pickles, tomato, etc.) on the falafel pita.... Or I would have preferred the Falafel app with Tahini. It did take a while for the food although we were the only table.... Considering our waiter was also the chef (I believe)... It wasn't too long at all! He was very, very personable, funny and gave recommendations that were perfect! My other half was reluctant to try Aladdin... Being the much less adventurous eater that he is... nonetheless he was quite pleased! I sincerely hope this place gets more business so we can come back and try the Kafta, Shwarma, Shish Kabob and Spinach and Cheese pies. Oh and the Lamb!!! Finally got a chance to try Aladdin's! The hummus appetizer here is phenomenal!! I ordered the beef shawarma lunch which came with a salad, rice, and pita bread. So much flavor in everything! They use the best Lebanese spices available. The pita bread is fresh and comes out hot. The rice was my favorite, I absolutely loved the rice. Plenty of free parking here, the restaurant is very spacious. The bathrooms were clean. The owner has been here for 25 years. I saw some hookahs around, so if you're into that, definitely ask about it. The homemade salad dressing is excellent, I'm sure it's a secret. I will definitely be back to try their other offerings for both lunch and dinner. We were craving middle eastern cuisine so we decided to try this little hole in the wall that we've driven past maybe 30 times but never went in. We ordered takeout but ordered it there so we could check out the restaurant. The man who took our order was very polite and even came to let us know we could call in advance for a shorter wait time next time (we knew, we just weren't in a hurry!) The food itself was delicious. Clearly served fresh. Very hot and it had great flavor. We got the chicken kabobs, chicken shawarma sandwich and hummus. This is legit as it gets. Run by a Lebanese family, every time I've been here the man who took my order was the man who cooked my food. My first meal here was a Lebanese sausage sandwich. I remember it because - aside from being absolutely outstanding - the owner set the plate down and explained how he was inspired to saute some peppers with a few spices and throw it on top... "I hope you like it." His inspiration was right on and I loved the personal, creative touch. More recently, I couldn't decide whether I wanted the Shish Kabob or the Shawarma... Overhearing me say how hungry I was, he said, "The shawarma is fresh. You want the shawarma. I'll give it to you over hummus. You won't leave here hungry." With a big grin I said "ok" and was not disappointed. I have been here several times and I always look forward to seeing this gentleman. As I write this, I am kicking myself for not knowing his name... But when I arrive I feel I am part of the family. To reiterate, the food here is wonderful.
