Alamo flags really does a lot for lots of communities. They really were a huge help to Lakeside. They made an incredible donation for the 9-11 remembrance Lakeside is having. They donated flags. I'm so surprised no one has reviewed this little shop. My husband was looking for a Mexican flag to have as a prop for his class presentation. We went all over San Diego looking for a place and finally ended up here. They have all kinds of flags, all kinds of sizes, country flags and holiday flags. Among those things they have country flag pins, and I do mean of every country. The staff is quite helpful and their prices are fair. Another must see shop while at Seaport. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by this little shop. Bought an American flag here for my house. Got home and the flags quality was pretty Poor. When I called the shop they said there was a no refund policy but that I could get store credit. Needless to say, when I'm told I cant rteurn something despite poor quality my blood starts to boil. When I get to the store with the returned merchandise the owner took one look and said I can give you a refund or swap it out. No problem. Even though I didn't have a receipt! Bought a few items from this store...a sweater, a magnet, a couple NFL sports flags and an NFL team wind spinner. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and provided good customer service. I got home and tried to put the wind spinner together and was missing a few pieces. Called the store and spoke with the owner Summer who stated "no problem. We'll mail it out to you." Received an empty envelope a week and half later, so I called the store again. This time I spoke with the owner Mike and explained what happened. I got frustrated because I had to keep repeating myself on what pieces were missing. I wish he wouldve just stop to listen to what I was saying. To top it off he ended the call with "it's odd there's pieces missing but we'll send it out to you." I was in the San Diego area on vacation and stopped by this place for a Personalized US ARMY flag for my father for his birthday. We stopped in on 1/3 and I placed the order, paid in full including shipping to Arizona in 2 to 3 weeks written on the receipt. 3 weeks passed and I called and spoke to a gentleman named "Mike" who said that it takes up to 4 weeks. At the 4 week mark, I called and spoke again to Mike who apologized and said that there was a problem with the printing facility and it would be another two weeks "at the most" and he was sorry for the inconvenience. I explained that my dad's birthday has come and gone. He sounded genuine enough and said he would throw in something extra for my dad. I verified he had the correct address and hung up. 3 weeks later, I called and spoke again to Mike. I told him I still had not received my flag. He first said it was on the way, then he back tracked and said he "promised" that it would be there and "he'd take care of me". I called him out on his lie because he couldn't figure out if it was on the way or not, so I told him to refund my money back to my credit card by the end of the day or I would report his fraudulent business to the BBB and the California Attorney General. He said that he would process my refund and still send the flag for the issue. I told him that at this point, I didn't want the flag....I just wanted my money back. That conversation was 3 days ago and still no refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY WERE DISHONEST AND DISINGENUOUS. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I was just in this shop with my mom (the day before Mother's Day). She was looking for a new blue star lapel pin in honor of my brothers who are in the service. She found the one she wanted, asked the owner or manager to see if he had any in stock. When she went to check out, he asked if she had children in the military. When she said yes, he smiled and said, "Happy Mother's Day, this one's on me." Didn't charge her a penny. It made both of our days!! One of the nicest gestures from a stranger I've ever seen. On vacation last week, browsing through the shops and came across Alamo Flags. Such a lovely find in this day and age of "gimme, gimme". We're from Philadelphia and went in and spotted an Eagles flag. While explaining to the staff that it's darn near impossible to get a lawn flag for the Eagles in our area right now..Super Bowl... I spotted a thin blue line flag, told him that I have a family member whose a LEO and how someone stole our flag right off the front porch....this man went back and got me a flag and gave it to us...free! Let me see, In a word? sucks! Called the shop, asked for a price on an Irish flag. I was told in broken English, inside 5x3 $14.99, outside 5x3 $29.99. 15 minutes later I was at the store, Drove through ttraffic at 5pm from Northpark. The same lady I had just spoke to on the phone, acted like I had talked to someone else and told me $44.99 for the outdoor. When I expressed my disatisfaction and frustration she became condesending.
