Plan ahead they have very long wait times the food and the service was outstanding. We had a larger party so we did have to wait a little bit longer. They quoted us an hour and a half, but the table was ready and 50 minutes. We started off with the crab dip and mozzarella sticks as appetizers, and they were finished very quickly. Everybody enjoyed them. To make my review a little more simple we had the kids state with mashed potatoes for the kids, and the adults had a variation of the different steaks. I'll cooked medium well along with mashed potatoes or baked potato. The meat selection was great. They had very tender and juicy meats that were easy to cut and not super chewy with great grilled seasoning. Felix was our waiter. He was on top of it, making sure that everybody had their drinks full that we had what we ordered in our order was correct and he waited on all of us all by himself. He was super kind and understanding This is decorated what I would describe as some light water decor. There were wood benches outside and a few other things on the wall, but it had a very clean organized look it wasn't overly cluttered. The restaurant was very clean. I would like to shout out the bathroom, hands scrub as all the ladies in our party enjoyed the hands scrub in the bathrooms.

Food service and ambience are always nice in here. I would highly recommend getting their burger on ciabatta bread and their ribeye.

Very impressed with this steakhouse! It's hard to choose a good place to eat in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The steak was absolutely phenomenal with the combination and seasoning and grill method. Salmon was delicious as well and mashed potatoes were amazing! Weak cocktails but that seems to be the theme of the area. Oh and the butter for rolls, yum!

Love the prime rib. but if you want it, you gotta ask because when they run out, they run out. The Brussel sprouts are really flavorful and not bland. The mashed potatoes were freshly made. The service was really nice and cares about your experience. The restaurant has a cool Texan atmosphere.

Definitely NOT a high end steak house. I ordered a medium filet and I got a well mock sirloin! Food was not worth what they charge!

Do they take Reservations or Call Ahead Seating?

They do call ahead seating. Call them about 30 min before you plan to arrive & they put your name on the list, then let them know when your entire party has arrived & they usually get you in pretty quick.

I had been here once before and the food was so good I had to come back. By the time I got to my hotel, I was running late for my reservation and got a call from The Appalachian checking if I was going to make my reservation. I let them know that I had just arrived at my hotel, traffic on I-81 held me up and I was going to order an Uber as soon as I was off the phone. Coming from DC, I expected an Uber would be at the hotel door steps within a few minutes, I was wrong. I was then crushed by the realization that I was wrong, I wasn't gonna make my reservation. I knew that on a week night The Appalachian's kitchen closed at 9. Ride.I called them back to let them know of the situation and expressed my desire to have their Wood Fired Lamb. The Gentleman that answered the phone simply responded "it's going on the grill now, we will see you when you get here. F-ing amazing, turned my stressful and painful day completely around. Uber'ed over, walked into an empty restaurant on a weekday where I would guess dinner customers might have been light and they held the staff for little old me. The Appalachian had just moved to the top of my list for I mean best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Unfortunately, for them, my favorite restaurant of all time in the United States shut down when I was in my early 20's so they'll never get a chance to compete.. But they just bumped Alligator Soul in Savannah Georgia to number two still in existence in these great United States. The Appalachian is a must dine at least once in your life, top tear resistant. Out F-ing standing, must F-ing dine at some point in your life. To the staff of The Appalachian, thank you for taking care of me went you could have told me that you close at 9pm. Thank you for watching out for this old man DC IRIS (AKA Savyon)

First off, the restaurant is truly stunning! Service was excellent too. We started with the Fried Chicken Skins. My friend had heard good things for a friend, but we weren't particularly impressed. I had the Hanger Steak as my entree, and it was delicious. I especially loved the potato dumplings! My friend had the Kansas City Strip, cooked medium rare, with broccolini. Initially, the steak was overcooked, but the staff quickly cooked another steak and made it right. Overall a really good experience! Downtown Sevierville has really evolved, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring after dinner.

I told the woman that was supposed to have checked if it was ready and her reply was "OH WELL" I had written a tip for 20% so walked over to my check and lowered it to 1%. It took a bit for our server to come acknowledge us but once he did, he was very helpful and attentive. My boyfriend ordered a peach Kentucky mule (they originally said they couldn't make that, which we questioned with it being a distillery, but our server came back and said they could after all). He enjoyed it and said it's one of the better ones he's had! We both ordered smash burgers and sweet potato fries - I had the junction 35 (pimento cheese + bacon jam) and he had the farmhouse (bacon + fried egg). Both were amazing! Juicy burgers, perfect size patties for smash burgers, the buns were fresh and held up nicely, and the toppings were great. Sweet potato fries had a great crunch and were seasoned really well. Service was great, food was high quality and had great flavor, and the dog friendly patio was perfect for our pup. It's located in a nice little strip of shops and restaurants, and has a common area of cornhole and other games that would be fun for an activity before/after dinner, or if you have kids in tow. We'd definitely make another trip here when in the area.

After joining the waitlist online before driving to the restaurant, we were seated immediately upon arrival at a high top in the bar area. I enjoyed the chill vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye. Our server said it was his favorite thing on the menu and I could see why. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was marinated in pineapple ginger sauce and then basted with teriyaki. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. I highly recommend this steak, which rivals the steaks at any of those over-priced steakhouses. The steak came with a salad and I chose the house lemon dressing. I continue to dream about this creamy, slightly salty dressing. They should definitely bottle it and sell it! I chose a baked sweet potato for a side and it was huge and unfortunately not cooked through, but I enjoyed the fully cooked parts. My husband ordered the Killin Me Burger, a full pound of meat with onion straws and thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun. He said it was the best burger he's ever had and my man knows his burgers! The bun was struggling, so my only suggestion is a sturdier bun. A really magnificent meal at a fun place! I've put it on my favorites list.

As for the food, it was honestly pretty underwhelming considering how hyped this place is. The crab dip was okay, nothing memorable. The steak and lobster was disappointing- the lobster had that soft texture that overcooked or not-so-fresh crawfish can have. The baked shrimp wasn't bad, but definitely not something I'd order again. Strawberry shortcake was decent enough. Ironically, the bread basket ended up being my favorite part of the meal-absolutely delicious. The service, however, was genuinely warm and hospitable. It was a bit slow, but the staff was kind, friendly, and personable enough that it made up for it. That was honestly the highlight of the experience. Was I excited to try this place because of all the hype? Absolutely. Would I personally recommend it? Probably not.
