The service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Host was attentive and incredibly pleasant. We had barely sat down before Brittany (our AMAZING server) took a drink order, answered all our questions, and was back with drinks exactly as ordered. Meal order went much the same and it was SPOT ON!! Food was exactly as ordered, cooked to perfection, and very enjoyable. The atmosphere was quaint, cozy, and comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

Best Steaks in the mountains! This restaurant is hands down my personal favorite steakhouse in Tennessee. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The steams are tender, juicy and seasoned and cooked to perfection with a hint of smokiness to them that you can tell it's cooked over an open fire. Beautiful restaurant right on the creek and a pleasant hangout area while waiting for your table. Overall the best restaurant in the Smokey Mountains.

Christa is a very good server. She stayed in touch, letting us know the status of our food, bringing our food and bill promptly. The food was good. I had the onion soup and the black and blue steak salad. The onion soup was tasty but salty, the salad was huge and the tips perfect. Some of the salad included huge cores of lettuce. My husband had the bacon/cheese burger. He said it was really delicious. The fries were too salty. The restaurant proper and restroom was very clean.

The front shouted Texas! I wish you could post aromas because the grills were outside and even traffic going past smelled them.

We planned to make all of our meals but as we drove past Alamo Steakhouse, the aroma changed our mind. There was a crowd but our wait was short. Tonya, our server, was friendly, efficient, and informative despite being very busy...and we loved her accent. The artwork, artifacts, and decor reminded us of Texas. We agreed that this was the best steak we have ever eaten...tasty, tender, and smoked to perfection.

Food was very good, everyone enjoyed, service was very good and quick. ambience was nice, clean and some good views. The only issue was house salad, lettuce was not the freshest.

Food and Service were good, Ambiance blah. Went w my husband at 3pm, just missed lunch time frame. Had to order off the dinner menu bc they were no longer serving lunch items. I was kind of disappointed they wouldn't let me order off of it bc I wanted lunch portions. After I discovered they don't offer the big steaks on their lunch menu, I decided to order the 20oz ribeye. lol. It was served with choice of salad and choice of side. I ordered the Wedge salad and Alamo potatoes. Liked the rolls we were served when sat down, w a sweet butter. The wedge salad was different to have blue cheese and Catalina dressing, but it was tasty. I requested my steak MR, but it was more on the rare side. I was ok with that, bc I took 2 bites and set it aside to carry out. I figured warmed up, it would be perfectly cooked. It had great flavor and lots of marble that makes it even better. I was surprised it had bone-in bc I completely overlooked that on the menu description. I prefer my steaks without bones. But, it was only $4 more than the 16 oz, so that captured my attention. I filled up on the wedge salad, Alamo potatoes (yum), and roll. So, I couldn't eat my steak too. My husband ordered the hamburger steak, sweet potato, and substituted creamed spinach for salad. He really liked his meal, but I didn't like the creamed spinach. With tip, our meal cost $80. We only had water to drink and no desert. I'm not complaining about the price bc it's hard to find a good steak for $40. I am complaining about the mngr on duty. He did not act like he wanted to be at work today. I asked a few questions and had a couple of requests, and he gave the impression he was very bothered. I didn't appreciate his unprofessional demeanor at all! If it wasn't for our waitress being so sweet, I probably wouldn't return just based on his poor attitude. It was NOT welcoming at all!

This is the best dinner option in the area. My husband and I are on our babymoon, we didn't even tell the staff and we've never felt more special. We were seated in a private room for just the two of us and treated like family. Valente is one of the best, most personable waiters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was very kind and helpful. Our food was very good and well priced for the portion sizes (very big plates). We spent most of our meal talking about what great choice this place was. Would recommend to anyone! And recommend asking for Valente for the best experience.

The wait was 1.5 hours, so we decided to have some drinks at the bar while we watched the UT game. The bartender was phenomenal! Furthermore, our steak was delicious and the crab soup was yummy, but a tad on the salty side. The caesar salad was meh. However, the bread did not come out until we were almost done with our food. Our friends did not have the same experience. Their steak was overcooked and the shrimp appetizer was not consistent. One shrimp order had really small shrimps and the other couple had the normal shrimp like the description on the menu. Overall, it was okay but my friend's not so much.

This was a really nice experience. Our server was great, our food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. The shrimp appetizer was to die for.

Our waitress was flustered and continued to joke about her inability to properly care for her tables. When it came to ordering, she told us many items we wanted to order were not good and shouldn't get them. After quickly shifting to an alternative, one meal came out with the wrong bread changing the entire dish - multiple meals cold and chicken not thoroughly cooked thru. Out of 5 meals - the only thing that came out with quality was a burger and fries. To round out the night, our waitress closed things out not asking how dinner was or if to-go boxes were needed but in fact stated, "I can understand if y'all didn't enjoy your dinner". The food runner brought my steak and it was a ribeye instead of a strip. I sent it back since it was not what I ordered. He came back with the same steak and said that the cook said it was a strip steak. I had already sent it back once, so I stopped arguing and ate it anyway. It was a good ribeye, but it was not what I ordered. I have eaten enough steaks in 60 years to know the difference. I have deducted a star over this issue. I did enjoy the experience despite the hiccup and would be willing to go back. Just pay attention, folks.

Bad assumption! We almost had to sit at the bar (which would have been OK, but we kind of wanted more privacy) but the hostess found us a high-top table. We had to drive up a big hill to get to the restaurant, so I assume the view outside is super nice, but we sat indoors to get away from the heat :) In general, our server did an OK job, but I do think she could have checked on us a little more, and the service felt quite slow. Our meal started with some complimentary spoonbread (which was pretty tasty!) and a Dylan cocktail for me, which took forever to come out. The Dylan was not really my cup of tea, it turns out - I guess I'm just a beer drinker at heart :) My wife got the Caesar salad for an appetizer and then we split the Beef Wellington for a shared entree. I sampled my wife's Caesar and it was very tasty! The Beef Wellington also took a long time to come out, but the wait was worth it, as it was very good! The beef was cooked medium rare as expected and the pastry was tasty. For our side, we chose broccolini and it was seasoned well. Despite the service hiccups, we had a good experience here. I would definitely consider coming back, and I'd recommend the Greenbrier to others.
