4 trips (two summers) in to your shop and my 2021 cbr300 still has the original problem of stalling once the engine is warm. 1) They replace my engine with a New engine last summer because you left the drain plug loose when in service for the original problem. 2) when returned the second time, bike was covered in bird shit, as told to me on the phone. Couple days later it was given back to me with zero attempt to clean any of it off. Still not running right. 3) trip3, may 2026, 3 electric codes and low battery were diagnosed. Battery was replaced and I was told all codes gone. Bike was not ridden, bike was not run properly. Desk attendant sends me out saying "let's hope lightning strikes and it works this time." Codes were only gone because they cleared them by disconnecting the battery. Less than a block away the stall issue returned. I will avoid doing business here in the future and will advise all who ask me of this experience and let them decide as well read more

Hello, This was the absolutely worst service experience I have ever had. My motorcycle, purchased from your dealership, decided to die at a gas station on my way to work Tuesday morning. Wouldn't start, just made clicking noises. After my 12 hour shift was over I went back and put a trickle charger on it for an hour or so. Bike still wouldn't start, so I had it towed to your shop. I used the request service on your website. Wednesday around 9:15 your service manager called me and started fussing about me leaving it there and not making an appointment. He mentioned the crackheads in the neighborhood and his surprise it wasn't stolen. Mind you it won't start and I locked the handlebars, and have great insurance if it was stolen. He demanded my keys right away and I told him I'd be right there and I couldn't find the night drop. He said there has never been one. Ok, fair enough. I did not appreciate the profanity he used with me. He also told me unless it isn't a simple fix like changing the battery I was out of luck because his only Honda certified mechanic quit in January. His rudeness continued when I got there with the keys. My bike still has the extended warranty I bought from you until June of 2026. When he told me he might not be able to fix it I asked what other dealers you can work with, he said Fairbanks is probably closest. I am unclear on how a dealership can not honor a warranty you sold. Meanwhile you are STILL SELLING Hondas.... Fortunately for me it was just a bad battery. Unfortunately for you, I can see why the mechanic quit. If your service manager is that rude to a customer I can't imagine how he treats employees. Also, unfortunate for you, I was planning on buying a new Goldwing Tour in the next year or so before I retire. That purchase is not going to happen. I'm so disgusted with the Service Managers behavior, I'm almost certain I'm trading my Goldwing in for a BMW tomorrow. I can't believe you employ him. I have purchased my last two motorcycles from your dealership. Never again. I will also be sending my complaint to Honda. This should be a 5 star review but they failed to adhere to their own contract. Let me preface with the fact that I can afford this generator cash and my credit is over 800. I just wanted to get a loan. During my initial visit I was approved for a loan on a generator @ 4.5% and I signed the contract for it. I told the sales person that I'll pick it up the following week because I needed to rent a trailer. The sales person said "no problem. When you arrive we'll do the final signatures and you'll be good to go". The following visit I arrived with a uhaul trailer to take the generator home. When the sales person was getting the final signatures ready, he said the bank suddenly changed their mind and now the loan has changed to 9.5% and 10 percent deposit. You can understand my anger at this point because I have a signed contract for 4.5 but they did a bait and switch at the last moment. I asked the sales person "so you're telling me this signed contract means nothing?" And he replied "we're just the middlemen for the bank". Now imagine for a second if I failed to honor my side of the contract; they'd probably take legal action. Long story short, I don't have a generator, my credit took a hit because they did 2 credit checks, and I'm out uhaul fees. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. I was really excited to pick up my new Polaris Adventure 155, and so disappointed when I found broken parts and sub-standard lettering on the seat. I expect the lettering to wear off over time, but it should be from years of riding. The broken part probably has a negligible cost, but to let a product out the door without taking care of it is unbelievable. The dealership pretty much told that they have no responsibility for making sure that the machine is properly set up. "If Polaris says no, we are just the dealer and can't do anything." I'm hoping that the guy was just having a bad day, and that he was not reflecting the opinion of Alaska Cycle Center or Polaris. read more

Today, my wife and I had a great experience at this store that set a new standard compared to several previous visits over quite a few years. Our purpose this time was to look at some motorcycles and gather information. When we entered the store, the Sales Representative on duty (Mr. Robert York) was on his feet. He approached us in a friendly manner and asked us what size and style we wished to see. He gave us a quick rundown on several and was knowledgeable about each. Once our interest focused on a particular style, Mr. York looked it up in his catalog so he could better field pointed questions. After addressing these, Mr. York volunteered to copy some relevant information for us to take with us. The treatment we received during this visit was a dramatic departure from what we experienced last time, close to a year ago. We are glad we returned. Pretty unprofessional operation. The sales staff seemed friendly enough, but the service department is terrible. Bought a new ATV and was promised MULTIPLE times that it would be done by a certain day as we needed to have it finished by that time. Finally the day came and even after being promised by multiple employees multiple times it would be completed, shockingly it wasn't done and it would still need a few days. Would've at least been nice to have received a warning or an apology for them not fulfilling their promise but luckily we were able to back out of the sale. read more

Honda lists these folks as both "Premier Dealer" and "Premier Service"... so I was expecting an experience fitting of that description. However, I'm not sure if it was the owner, or a sales manager I encountered, but this person was rude and very condescending. For such a simple question, this pugnacious attitude toward the customer was absolutely uncalled-for. Had I been there for a big purchase, I would've just walked out then and there after that exchange. Thankfully I was just there to pick up some small accessories, and in fairness the two people that helped with that transaction were very nice and helpful. After requesting an online quote for a new four wheeler (they have a request a quote on all their products on their website)..for the third time in two weeks I finally got a phone call from the "manager". He informed me that they don't give prices over the phone or Internet. He said he's not going to give a price to go shop with....they just don't do that. My only days off are the days they are closed...he said I would have to come in for a price or I'm out of luck. I should have known better than give them another chance cuz they didn't bother to help me last year either. I bought a new Polaris at Hatcher Pass Polaris last year. Hatcher Pass Polaris gave me a price this time also and I will buy there again next week....Tony... (at Alaska Cycle Center) has no clue about customer service. read more

I find it crazy that they wanted $60.00 more for a pair of shocks than their competition. I wanted factory replacements and was told it would take a week or two to get the shocks in. I am driving to Wasilla to hatchers Pass they ordered the same shocks for $60.00 less and got them in three days. Thats the service you should expect! read more

Went today with trailer in tow to buy a new Honda knowing they had one left after a brief call to sales. After trying to negotiate, and by that I mean throw in a helmet or a cover or SOMETHING to pitch in on their end, they said "nope". Their "setup" and "destination" fees are higher than everyone's and they hinge on the $200 rebate that the "factory" is giving back...not them! They lost a sale over a $99 helmet that cost them less than that! No problem...just put a deposit on one at the Honda dealer in homer. Over a $100 less ( including the 4 hours drive time each way in fuel) and they are putting on a recoil start NO CHARGE! That's how you win a deal. Not by being an arrogant fool stating: "we just have no mark up"...really? Then how do you pay yourself a commission along with your salesperson? There was a woman at a desk by the door, an employee in the office with what appeared to be a customer, and three guys in company uniforms at the parts counter( with one customer). Stunningly terrible customer service experience. I tried to buy a brand new 13K Victory motorcycle in October after first snow. Had the downpayment and financing pre-approved. They needed me to schedule the time to buy it because they have "meetings with their ducati rep, other customers and other appointments and want to make sure they have time for me." I got irritated and pointed out that I am giving them $13,000.00 dollars and they should be more concerned with my schedule than their schedule. When I tried to explain why I was irritated, the general manager interrupted me and asked me if I have a problem like this in all my business dealings. When I said "No, I do not. But I am concerned because if I buy a bike from you, you are the only place to get it serviced and buy parts from he told me that i wasn't the kind of customer they wanted to add to their dealership." I couldn't believe that this guy was making it a hassle for me to give him 13K and insulting me. I decided if they are this bad before I am customer and have other places to choose from they are probably an absolute nightmare once I have a service issue, or need parts, or need warranty work etc. and they are the only place in town to get it. So I picked up my cash down payment off their desk, left the paperwork unsigned and told them they didn't have to have me as a customer. Another point to note is there was no one else in the store both days I was in there. It was not a situation where I was demanding attention at their busiest season when they have a line of customers waiting. read more
