Dive driven by here a million times. But today was different, 0.5 miles past the shop our trailer tire shredded on the highway. It was a Saturday at 11am. Thankfully for Yelp I was able to quickly look up tire shops in walking distance. Clines Tesoro popped up and was the only one in the vicinity open on a Saturday (weird??). The gentleman on the phone was super helpful. We let him know what happened and he let us know he was able to help us jack up the trailer and swap tires out (we had a spare). They don't sell rims. But they do sell tires. They let us unhook the trailer and kept an eye on it while we ran home to get the spare. Because of course it's the day we took the spare off to carry other goods we needed for our trip. Very friendly service. Two bathrooms that are customer use only and relatively clean. If you end up with a tire issue in the area I recommend stopping here. They're friendly, accommodating and not trying to rip you off. read more

Deceptive cash-only pricing on the big sign is a big no-no for me. This place takes it one step further. The prices at the pump are also the cash-only price. As soon as you swipe a card, the digital price meters on the pumps SHIFT UPWARD. Real-time, re-pricing, wowza! The bathroom requires a key, so that in their words: the bathrooms stay clean. They always try to do their best and will even let you bring your own parts for them to install and they seem to have a pretty fair shop rate and I have never felt gouged by them for any jobs they have done for me. They always seem to get me in quick when I need to have an issue dealt with. Cline's Tesoro is a no-nonsense, take care of business kind of place. These guys are one of the best kept secrets around, doesn't look like much from the outside but they know what they're doing, they're fast and just as important, like an 30 minutes to an hour wait time during peak season. Compare that to trying to get your tires changed at Sams in mid April! I swap out my winter studded tires here and highly recommend it. Very disrespectful service. Had a thermostat problem, bought one and brought it to them. Asked for them to replace it. There was no loss of fluid or leaks whatsoever. They called and said "we did a pressure test on your water pump and it's leaking water all over the place." I was skeptical. He was talking so fast I couldn't understand him. When I would try to ask questions he would override me and shut me down. I need my truck however and asked them to do the work. After all it was possible they did find a problem. He calls me back again mumbling something about there are two types of water pumps on F150 Ecoboost and started mumbling about the turbo. I told him don't you dare touch my turbo. You were asked to do a thermostat and now your playing games with the pump, there is only one stock water pump, and he was eluding to the turbo. I called later to see where they were at and he said that he was installing the new pump. Later I realized that I had a funeral to go to today. I called and asked how long and the "mechanic" began mouthing off to me (damned prima donna I suppose, he was no where to be found when I picked up the truck.... punk). I asked him why he had an attitude then he spouts off like the whelp that he is "you haven't seen me get an attitude". When I get there to pick up my truck the guy at the front gave me a sorry ass excuse for the mechanics behavior. He said I called 4 times. Well he called me 3 times and I was confused by his mumbling and fast talking. I spoke to another reputable mechanic about it and they agreed as did all of my friends who know that CLINES IS BAD BUSINESS and they have some real douchebags working for them there. I am 62 and here is this 40 year old punk talking smack and trying to take me for a ride. DO NOT USE THESE MISCREANTS. They will bite you. YOU SUCK CLINES. I am warning everyone about you. read more

Dropped my car off@8am this morning - after noticing an oil leak over the weekend (Oh nooooo!!!!). Around 9am I get a call from Tim @Cline's stating what the problem was and the cost for repairs, parts have to be ordered. I said go for it, please & thank you. By 11:15am Tim calls me back and my car is done/ready to be picked up. YEAH! Thank you soooo very much, Tim. I REALLY appreciate there being a gas station downtown. It's the ONLY one! Granted it's a bit of a rough neighborhood. Questionable people milling about a lot of the time. The stations bathroom doors are locked with a sign posted stating "For Customer Only", I get that. I work downtown, mere blocks away from the station, and even in my building we get VERY questionable people coming in (we have a no public bathroom sign posted on the front door). These people sometimes destroying property - it's happened in our office and we're on the 3rd floor!!! read more

These guys are great. I've been coming here for oil changes, and the men who run the place are helpful, friendly, and personable. I've never had a bad experience here, and I go out of my way to come here, even though Meineke is closer. Cline's customer service is a lot better, and their prices are fair. I'm actually typing this right now while I'm waiting for my car, and they were able to fit me into my very tight schedule, and I am always pleased with how efficient and quick they are. Went in to have my summer tires changed out for my studded winter tires and they were quick and knowledgable. Also cheaper than another shop I was going to go to (paid 50 to get my tires changed over) I was out of there in about 30-40 minutes even with two cars ahead of me, they also showed me and let me know that I have a dent I didn't know about in my front right rim and straightened it out! (told me it would be good for quite a few more months but should get a new rim eventually) How amazing is that! I will definitely be coming here again if I need anything done. I had a terrible experience going here, and wouldn't wish this style or type of business behavior on anyone. I got my tires changed over, they did it fast and were kind, and they tell me that Alyeska Tire (the people who changed the snow tires previously) must've cross threaded three tire lug bolts and so three are with out a lug nut. YIKES! They also tell me my brakes were at 10% and that they're "brakes guy" isn't in, but they could take an appointment. I tell they guy, "yikes on the bolts, I'll take a look at them and probably change them myself, as well as take a look at the brakes myself." For whatever reason all three of the mechanics there had to tell me this. I then started an $100 process in taking lug nuts off, and snapping the bolts because they were almost all cross threaded, 13 in all. I got the front brakes off, and voila! about 70-80% of the pad is left! I manage to get the job done on my lovely Sunday afternoon myself in my driveway. This is the part that stinks, I go in the first time to try and find the owner, and even tried calling twice, and the guy tells me "I don't know, the owner and/or manager is in tomorrow. I want to start using anti-seize on the lug bolts, but the owner won't let me. As far as the brakes go, maybe we were just in a rush and I'm sorry." Honorable so far, I get that it's a business and mistakes happen, but anti-seize wouldn't have solved this. The next day I go in again, and the manager was in, I calmly presented my situation, and within 60 seconds, he was shouting and swearing at me. This is one of the worst business transactions I've ever had, including my time living in Central Mexico for a year. Just don't go here, I gave them multiple opportunities to do the right thing, and they failed. Don't get a $160+Sunday afternoon tire change. It's not worth it. read more

Drove an hour out of town for a change over on 5/26/14. Was told they would take my car in as long as I arrived before 8pm. Got to anchorage from palmer by 7pm and owner was rude and told me he's not taking my car in he's done for the day. I asked who answered the phone earlier and told me they would change my tires over and he claimed he didn't know. His voice was the same person I talked to on the phone before I drove out from the valley. Super unprofessional and they were smoking cigs in the gas station which is even more unprofessional. I had my pickup in there, not only were they rude it took 3 day's to get my power stearing pump and lines change, and when I went to check on it , my wife heard one of the macanics statee he did not tell me to go look under the hood! really it's my vehicle and I will look at any part of it...then the man told the other he had to tell me something! really! then when I picked up my vehicle, the macanic said he got aggravated with it! really..If you don't like your job go find another, is my suggestion! I went to the frtont counter started filling out a work-order to get my breakes fixed, the guy at the front counter jerked the order from my hands and says you cant do that(write on the w/o).
