    Pancake machine!
    Dawn B.

The Alaska Lounge is one of my favorite US based lounges. It has some of the kindest staff. They saw our child's pancakes didn't come out right and fixed the machine immediately without me saying a word. They also asked if they would like a coloring book and crayons. Some of the kindest people you meet work there. The food selection is pretty good too. They have eggs, cheese plates, oatmeal, and pancakes! I also love that they added chai latte to the barista area. It's a must try drink both hot and cold in my book.

Food (3/5): Average breakfast spread, but definitely a step below what you might find at a SkyClub. They had bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cheese cubes, deli meat, Greek yogurt, some fruit (fresh blueberries and canned mandarins), and hard boiled eggs. Warm options were scrambled eggs and bacon. Bonus was that they had gluten free bagels sealed in packaging. Barista-made coffee (from Stumptown) was well above average for airport coffee with nondairy available (almond, oat). Service (5/5): Staff was awesome and kind. One of the baristas went above and beyond because she actually delivered my iced latte to me! Tables and restroom could be a bit cleaner but I was there a bit after the morning rush hour. Ambience: Small and modern lounge with nice views.

My flight was delayed 4 hours. One of the many perks of being a oneworld emerald status member is... it makes flight delays a lot more pleasant and bearable. I checked into the lounge to relax, write, have breakfast and perhaps some drinks. If you love coffee, they have a self serve coffee and tea station that has cold soy milk, almond milk, whole milk, oat milk and 2% milk, Pike Place roast coffee and Tazo teas. Or they have baristas available to make you any coffee you can dream of. I requested a Butterscotch Brûlée Latte (a drink I had at a Starbuck's in the UK). It's made out of steamed milk and butterscotch sauce finished with brulée topping. It's a smooth and silky treat. It was quite delicious. They had various breakfast offerings. Eggs, bacon, sausages, waffle station, muffins, breads, cereals, juices, etc. I had some eggs and bagels (not really a big breakfast person). Bagels were fresh. It would've been nice to have fresh cream cheese instead of individually packaged Philedelphia cream cheese. I also ordered a glass of champagne after breakfast... I chose to relax in the comfy leather recliner because I love to watch the airplanes take off and arrive. There's something so nostalgic about it. Airports, planes and rainy weather. I love it. The recliner is super plush and includes your very own charging station. I got a lot of thinking and writing done during this lounge stay. Grateful to have lounges in general. It makes the stress of traveling a little sweeter...

This lounge is on the smaller side, but it has wifi, food, drinks, bathrooms and comfy seats. There is a full service bar and a coffee bar. The staff is really attentive and keep the food area stocked and clean. Note you can only check in bags 4 hours before your flight.

I am not sure why the reviews are not higher. I am a regular at the flagship lounge in Seattle and the JFK location was quite impressive. It was clean, extremely friendly and helpful customer service and the best food selection I have experienced. I arrived in the earlier afternoon before the crowd so it was pleasantly quiet.

Not a bad way to kill some time before our flight... The lounge features a different drink each month as well as wine, beer and spirits. Generally, complimentary, but top shelf will cost you a bit. They offer light, tasty snacks too: crudite, dips, soup. Clean and spacious with ample seating and their own bathrooms. Priority pass accepted! However, you can only enter two hours before your flight. We got there a bit earlier than that and they had a waitlist anyway (they email and text when they're ready for you). We waited about 1/2 hour after joining the queue at 11th in line. Enough time for a drink and some snacks! Two drinks if you can down them fast!

Pretty nice lounge with good food and plenty of seating! I do think their evening/dinner menu is lacking compared to their breakfast options.

12/14/2021 I think this is my first ever visit to an Alaska Lounge. Location: within terminal 7 at John F. Kennedy International Airport; post TSA. Access: if you have an active Priority Pass membership (that is how I entered). Certain elite members within the One World alliance can also access. Access is also permitted with one day passes priced at $50 or if you have an Alaska Airlines credit card with a 50% off discounted rate. Interior: it's not the fanciest airport lounge I've visited, but is designed to convey a sense of modern comfort. Open seating and private booth seating is available. There is one buffet area with cold items, pastries, and warm food such as oatmeal. There is also a self serve coffee and tea station along with a barista if you wanted something more crafted. There was also a bar, but it looked closed so I didn't grab anything alcoholic. What I liked: I'll always make time to visit a lounge just to grab a bite and to relax before boarding a flight. It made sense to visit this lounge since I was in fact flying with Alaska Airlines. What I Wished: well, a buffet with more hot foods other than oatmeal would have been a welcome addition. It's definitely nothing like a Centurion Lounge, but it's also nothing to complain about or compare to since my access was technically free. Decent lounge that serves a purpose.

This is one do two lounges offered in Terminal 7. There is a lot of amenities but I think not enough staff to run it in full swing. Maybe because of Covid. Nevertheless, they still offer a lot! There is: -Salad bar. The white grilled chicken was pretty good. Not dry at all -dessert bar -pancake waffle maker -Starbucks coffee machine -variety of tea bags -variety of milk -a bar with most alcohol complimentary. There are some alcohol that would be an extra cost. The bar does look nice -barista bar Shoutout to Justin! He is very friendly, approachable and nice. He also created the cocktails of the month! He is very kind and considerate. He will go out of his way to make you your hot chocolate or cocktail! Pros: -plenty of charging outlets everywhere and at each seat -comfortable seating -very clean restrooms -free fast WiFi service -cocktail of the month is complimentary -there is soup -accepts priority pass -plenty of water (hot and cold) -spacious -different types of seating. Their couches look like good quality leather! Cons: -can't think of any!

One of my guilty pleasures as a frequent traveler is indulging in an airport lounge, which has ultimately become my favorite way to kill time before a flight. Having flown Alaska and their Oneworld partners on many occasions, I have been to this lounge more times than I can count. As a regular lounge, it's decent but as a flagship lounge, it's a disappointment. Located in Terminal 7 just after the airport's worst TSA checkpoint (#1), the Alaska Lounge is on the second floor, adjacent to the British Airways Lounge (#2). It was unveiled to the traveling public roughly 3 years ago with a lot of hype since it was Alaska's first foray into the east coast market. It is open to anyone who is flying first class, has membership to either Priority Pass or Alaska Lounge, and/or a cardholder for American Airlines Executive World Mastercard. There is usually a person out front who (slowly) checks the status of each person coming in. The long walk from the entrance down the hallway gives a bit of an impression that something epic is coming. But upon turning the corner, the lounge is really plain at best. The have a small and limited food station in the middle of the room, along with a bar, a handful of lounge chairs + couches, and a pretty solid view of the planes. Overall, there aren't a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to amenities. The bathrooms are clean, but small. The WiFi goes from good to mediocre in an instant. There are no showers, kid's areas, or a quiet room. The staff is lovely for the most part, but severely understaffed during crowded travel times. Regarding the latter, there isn't enough people coming around to handle the bar patrons or pick up after folks. Ultimately, for lounge fans, this is hardly a destination and I find the place more disappointing than I do impressive. I suppose it works fine in a pinch, but for folks who are paying good money to be here, it's definitely not worth more than some light bites, limited WiFi work, and a decent plane view. I am hoping that when they decide to open it back up (#pandemic) that things will improve and that perhaps it'll live up to the high'ish standard of Alaska Airlines. ____________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/tsa-checkpoint-terminal-7-jamaica (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/british-airways-first-class-lounge-jamaica

There is a cheese monger where you need to reserve 45 mins for a cheese tasting (we did not do, but looks amazing!). There is a buffet style with little dishes such as devil eggs, crostini, roasted squash. There is a to-go sandwich option with ess a bagel and pastrami from Schaller and Weber! and a huge bar also stocked with mocktails! We sat down at a table by the food and desserts section, they even brought out a nice baby chair for our baby! Ordered a bunch of dishes from the kitchen, Mac and cheese, shrimp salad, little burgers, mushrooms risotto and a soup! Honestly not all of the dishes were delicious, they were decent. However our experience and the service at this lounge was definitely excellent! They were so attentive to our needs and our baby's needs. We really felt taken care of. Note we did have a short wait, however it was literally not even 5 minutes to get into the lounge but definitely take this into consideration at busy times there will be a wait. But this wait is probably not as bad as the wait at the Amex centurion lounge in the same terminal. Overall we had a fabulous experience, felt really taken care of and especially with our baby. And they gave our baby his own baby pilot bib! So adorable!

You can debate the nuances of each-- Centurion's food is better, Capital One's is larger and has a cheese monger, Ess a Bagel, and better cocktails. But compared to the sort of lounges that don't have their own bathrooms and offer nothing more than some bananas and cereal, you really could do worse. The Sapphire lounge in LGA is larger and prettier, but they pretty much offer the same amenities. The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited, save for one time. The menu isn't vast but there's a little buffet station with fresh fruit and hot food, as well as a made to order menu with full sized portions. Sometimes the food has been quick, and other times it has taken a while, so you really should give yourself some buffer time if you're trying to get something from the made to order menu. The food is fine. I've visited enough times to say that the folks who work here have been so warm and nice each time, checking in and asking guests how they're doing. Garbage is cleaned up immediately, so it's a pretty well oiled machine in there. You can bring up to 2 guests and any additional guests cost just $27 more, which I'd say it's worth it, particularly if you have a long layover and will have a couple of drinks.

Pros: Services are far superior than many A1 lounges that I have been to unless you're flying La Premiere by Air France. Other than that it was way better than Emirates itself and I an Emirates Platinum Member I must admit this. The decor feels like vintage dinner with a modern touch, it's almost like old Hollywood glamour. Many dishes are made a la carte, a true definition of fine dining. Several Chefs and Sous Chef are eager to cook you whatever you want with a smile. There are several seating areas that you can use to enjoy your delicious 5 course meals and drinks. Who can forget the quiet room with several 0 gravity chairs for a relaxing massage before your flight. Everyone was beyond polite and attentive. Honestly, this lounge makes both the AMEX & regular DL lounges feel very basic. I was pleasantly surprised. The experience is far better & above what you will experience in the cabin. Once you come you will have no desire to leave. It's therapeutic & magical. There's something for everyone there. Most importantly it's never as crowded as the regular lounge. Cons: Although everyone is super friendly and attentive. It almost feels like disingenuous & rehearsed. Everyone is repeating the same lines as if they were told what to say which caused me to question and or doubt that they really felt that way. This experience never gets old, it's like adrenaline rushing through your veins, it takes you so high that every time you get on the actual flight DL one cabin, you feel a sense of disappointment. Overall, I never want my flight to be canceled delayed so badly when I am in this lounge. The attention to detail is world class and mastered by the most hardworking patrons. It's truly the 4 seasons of ALL US Airlines lounges. Just when I thought they couldn't compete with Emirates and/or Qatar, DL one lounge surpasses them. The food on the buffet looked and sounded delicious but suffered from sitting out too long. The food was certainly a step way up from the usual Delta Lounge, but I would in no way compare it to a good fine dining restaurant on the outside. Highlights were the massage chairs and facials. The process for signing up is confusing and the wait can be long if you come at the wrong time, but if you have enough time it's definitely worth it.
