The Delta Sky Club at JFK is always a welcome escape from Terminal 4, especially when I have some time to kill before a flight. I like being able to come in, find a comfortable seat, charge my devices, grab something to eat, and have a drink without sitting in the middle of all the gate traffic. The food selection is usually decent with enough hot and cold options to hold me over until my flight, and the bar service has always been good. It feels modern and spacious, and the outdoor Sky Deck overlooking the airfield is such a nice touch when the weather cooperates. My only real complaint is the crowd. Depending on the time of day, the lounge can get packed, which kind of defeats the purpose of going into a lounge to get away from the airport chaos. When it's not overly crowded, though, it's a completely different experience. This Delta Sky Club in Concourse B of NY's JFK airport opened in 2013, at the same time as the new/improved Terminal 4. Delta has a lot of traffic out of this terminal, thus opened a second (smaller) Sky Club in Concourse A in 2023. This one in Concourse B (capacity of 500 people) is located near Gate B31, and was convenient for a very early morning visit shortly after arriving into NY from LA on a red-eye flight. My wife and I gain entry into Sky Clubs via our AMEX Delta Reserve Card, which provides 15 complementary visits per year. The Sky Club allows entry at the point of arrival, whereas most other lounges is only for point of departure and any layovers. Since we had already used the lounge at LAX the previous night, we knew this additional visit wouldn't count against our cap, so decided to stop in for breakfast. It was very close to our arrival gate (though on the second floor, requiring taking an escalator or elevator), and had already opened at 05:00 by the time we entered (05:20). There were already quite a few people inside, with the breakfast buffet stocked. Found some nice seating with a view of the concourse. I tried some scrambled eggs, herb baked baby potatoes, pork sausage...ended up being a decent breakfast. My wife took advantage of the shower facilities, making an immediately fulfilled reservation since there was no wait. My wife added to her celebrity sightings by meeting Nile Rodgers in line at the breakfast buffet. She said he was a super nice man, willing to talk a bit with her as they progressed, and being appreciative that she was a fan. read more

TBH, a little underwhelming compared to the location at LaGuardia... I love the breakfast options at LaGuardia... had yummy parfait and overnight oats-chia seeds with fresh fruits, prepped in cute little cups. Here... it's packaged yogurt and some fruits. They had smoothie in a tiny jar but didn't look appealing... They have your typical bagels, hot food w/ eggs, sausage and home fries... I wasn't in the mood. Was looking for lighter stuff but couldn't find the overnight oats/chia seed. So I grabbed coffee and a banana, a little bit of home fries (very bland) and regret getting the cold meat... it was gross. Sadly this location looks a little run down... might be time to refresh. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, if you have other options, go there. Otherwise, this is an alternative to kill time and have a bite to eat. read more

There are several Delta Sky Clubs at JFK and also AMEX Centurion lounges. Wanted to make sure I m checked in at the right one and leaving reviews for the right one. Check in area is staffed nicely. Just need a boarding pass and will walk you thru on the screen. Also will send you a recipe if you need to come back or use it at other locations. This location is very nice. Around 1 pm, not as crowded and place is kept very clean with lot of crew. Food is better, lot better than Atlanta location. Served on a nice plate and also metal utensils. Had a separate salad station. Attendant will help with making a nice plate. Also have a large bar area staffed with several bartenders. Also noticed a lady setting up Nathan's hot dog station opening up at 2:30 pm. Gotta try that one! Hot and cold food sections, attendants were were friendly and attentive which was a big plus. On the floor, dirty dishes were taken away promptly and seating ready for the next customers. There are smaller food stations spread throughout so walk around to check out. Dedicated Starbucks at the one end, soft drinks at the other. Highly recommend. read more

I admittedly have little experience when it comes to airport lounges, mainly because I'm neurotic and need to be close to my gate and I never reached any loyalty level with an airline to get access to one. However, in recent years I have had the option to access a few - but even still I'm not hiking across the terminal; it needs to be within close proximity. I recently flew out of JFK Terminal 4, and the Delta Sky Club was super close to my gate. That being said, I decided to check it out. I have no perspective when it comes to lounges, but I will say this Sky Lounge is quite large. The perimeter of the lounge contains a variety of seating types, while the middle contains more seating plus the main food station. The layout is a little confusing, but from what I got it seems to be a big circle...maybe? The setting is pretty nice - seats are comfortable with outlets in convenient locations to juice up. I wouldn't say it was peaceful though, as there were a lot of people there. Even still, nobody was loud or disruptive - just be prepared to be among people. I wasn't hungry so did not partake in food, but what I saw looked good - and they had an impressive variety. Overall, I was impressed with this Delta Sky Club. You're away from a good portion of the craziness and I wouldn't hesitate to spend time here again before another flight. read more

The last time I flew out of JFK was not on an international flight and with the nightmare layout that is this airport left little time to go to the lounge. Since I was transiting and had a long enough layover that I could actually try out the lounge here I thought, why not? You could tell that the lounge had been updated but not super recently. It reminded me of the Atlanta Sky Club, you could tell it was new but there were definitely newer ones-that had a little more pizzazz. While I don't think it's necessarily fair to compare one Sky Club against another it's hard to since so much of it is similar. Each location tries its best to try and stand out by showcasing local flavors. So, the NY style dog was what they had here. I'm not a fan of NY style hot dogs and while they do a valiant effort it wasn't something that really 'did it.' But I do have a very heavy bias; Chicago dogs are the best. Aside from that this lounge crowded! As a large, if not largest hub on the Eastern Seaboard you'd think they'd account for that but despite the floor space it was hard to find a seat anywhere, it wasn't just the people to seat ratio but bags just piled on. What a beautiful and expansive lounge! This one competes with international levels! A rare find compared to other American lounges at various airports. Delta thoroughly thought of practically every detail for their passengers. From Real Person check in to automatic kiosk as you take the escalator or elevator near gate B32. Everyone is smiling and greeting you throughout the massive space. Different climate or what seems to be for those that choose super cold to relative cold to room temp. Fresh made foods at the buffet from To sides. A separate bar and drinking bar area. Specialized carts serving at Thai time fresh made potstickers and the other Nathan's NY hotdog. So many seating areas for single or group travelers. Quiet area in corner for this business travelers that need a quiet space. Finally the outdoor deck! A whole world of undiscovered, unknown experiences are in front of you while your day job, filled with meetings that could have been an email, is barely visible in your rearview. Pure, unadulterated freedom. We walked into the Delta Sky Club at the hellscape that is the pre $19 billion renovation JFK Airport and grabbed a slick little booth. My first meal was chicken and rice with some veggies. Well balanced, just like my basketball game. For meal #2, there was a Nathan's hot dog cart and I demo'd 2 glizzys pre flight because why not? It's a well known fact that calories don't count on vacation. My girlfriend was taking full advantage of the fountain sodas, ripping into at least 3 Pepsi Zeros with the little balled ice cubes. Balled ice cubes are objectively the best. We posted up in here until our flight started boarding, basking in the anticipation of a trip on the horizon, the whole world in front of us. This is a big lounge and has a very nice bright vibe. I stopped by early AM and didn't have much time to explore all the food options but the breakfast stuff looked good. I had a cappuccino which was great. The lounge staff is constantly cleaning all food and drink areas keeping it clean at all times. Restrooms are great as well. read more

I enjoyed the long walk to gate 32 and was happy to see there were no lines out front. I was motioned at the top of the escalator by a tall security-guard to check in at one of the kiosks. After scanning my passport, I was directed by him to press "myself." Really? Then I was basically shoo'd away before i had a chance to read my updated flight information that comes up on the screen, but I held my ground. I wasn't asked if i had ever been there before, or offered any assistance to navigate this maze of a lounge. The mannequins on display keep catching me off guard as i think there are people standing there!!! The food did not excite me, as there were several spicy offerings which is not my taste when i fly (e.g. Nashville hot cauliflower). There were no ingredients listed for the "vegan sloppy joe" and no one to ask, so I opted for cold, disappointedly dry chicken salad on an almost stale croissant. First off, the line to get in was a mile long, probably because they were already at max capacity! We thought we'd only be hanging out for an hour, but with our flight delayed it turned into two. Finding a seat was tough, and good luck hunting down a working outlet. After trying a few, we finally scored one by the window. Food was just okay, mostly dry though I was glad to see at least a couple of veggie options. The bar was packed with only a handful of stools, and tons of people hovering while watching football. The JFK Delta Sky lounge was very similar to other Delta lounges. Huge, with a view of the runway, a bar, ample seating, and comfortable. This Sky Club was one of the nicer ones I've been to in a while. The ones in Atlanta seem smaller and smaller and more and more crowded. This one was huge and had so many places to sit and eat and relax. I loved the working pods, the outdoor patio, the couches, and the quiet room for those who want to try to get some sleep. Amazing! The bar and food area was well-stocked with some yummy soups and fruits and savories and the bar was quick with the drinks and coffee. My husband and I spent a good two hours here upon return to the USA from a long flight home from Portugal and it was a nice rest while waiting for our final, short, flight home. read more

This is probably my 6th or 7th visit here in the past several years, usually the line is out the door with a 15-45min+ wait depending on which line you're in (two lines, has to do with mileage status I believe), and it's often super crowded inside. Came by about a week ago and (insert jaw drop here) to my surprise for the first time in the last two years there was no line when I walked up to the entrance.* I almost did a double take to make sure I was at the right location. They've recently opened a Delta One lounge and Chase Reserve Sapphire lounge in the same terminal so maybe some of the traffic has been diverted. Either way it took a few min to check in at the digital kiosks and then walked into the main dining area. The dining section unsurprisingly was fairly packed. In the seating sections further away it felt about 70-75% full so not that much of a respite but slightly more quiet. The lounge fits probably around 200 since it's very spread out and has multiple seating areas. The dining section is composed of a buffet with cold and warm food, a bar for ordering cocktails and other alcoholic drinks, a manned Nathan's hotdog stand directly next to the bar, and a charcuterie/desserts stand (it was around 4pm so imagine earlier in the day it's used for other items). There's are a few separate water/juice/coffee/tea stations scattered around the rest of the lounge too. The type of food available depends on the time of day, I hafta say they've upped their food game in the last couple years, it's better than the Amex Centurion lounge upstairs, though personally I still think Virgin's options are nicer, heard Delta One's food is also better (which makes sense), and have yet to compare with the new Chase lounge. Flight status monitors are available to so you can check your gate and boarding/departure times. Bathrooms are in decent shape snd and there's a separate hallway with shower rooms. Various TV screens play the news, there's free wifi and also a workstation area with computers and printers. On nice days you can go sit outside on the rooftop deck, where there's both outdoor sofa seating and tables for small groups. Overall not as nice as 4 star lounges in Asia and some other places though better than the majority of other lounges in the US. For within the US it's quite nice. *by the time I left about 30 min later, the line had resumed. read more

I write for one reason. I wish to praise Delta airlines. This lounge, the ordinary one at JFK (not the premium one, which might not have the amenity; I've been inside twice but not checked thoroughly), has those wonderful phone booths. I am not sure if Delta has this everywhere, but I also have seen them at LAX. They are comfortable, spacious enough for one occupant, coveted for a reason, and very effective for both the person who needs privacy to do a call and those who wish not to be bothered by the noise. I fly quite a bit, too much. I wish every lounge had a space such as this. From what I have seen, Delta is trying to brand itself as slightly more premium than its rivals, for commercial flights. They also are priced slightly more on the routes I frequent. I would not select Delta solely for this feature. I would, as I am doing, applaud them for offering it. Addendum. I am not sure this is the correct Yelp listing. Delta has multiple lounges. This one references Nathan's hot dogs. That was definitely there. I took a JFK-IAD flight, so it is the lounge closest that departure gate. It is not the largest lounge. read more

I can't speak to the lines and overcrowding as we have only really been to this lounge early in the morning; supposedly it's jam-packed in early evening when the flights to Europe depart (especially in the peak summer travel season). Or at least it was before the Delta One and Chase lounges opened so maybe that's less of an issue now. Anyway, when we've visited, it's been crowded but still definitely possible to find a place to sit and relax right away. Plenty of food and drink options for everyone and the bathrooms are clean. My wife especially loves the chia pudding- keep that on the breakfast menu at all times please! Staff is very helpful too. As big and chaotic as T4 can be, this Sky Club does make the experience a little more pleasant. read more

There are two Delta Sky Club located in JFK. We went to the one closer to our gate, which was 48. It's always very clean and taken care of . The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Lots of great food and drink options for breakfast. The bar was open at 7am if that's your thing. There are multiple seating areas for you to relax in before your flight. There are charging port and clean bathrooms. Pay attention for free vouchers if you are an American Express customer. Much better than the regular admission price. No expense was spared to build this experience. You walk in and it feels good. Lots of folks walking around in suits to help get you what you need. Not a stuffy place. First time checking out this lounge while I had a layover in NYC and I was pleasantly surprised. My expectations weren't too high but the customer service here was fantastic! The ease of checking in is a plus and everyone was just so friendly and helpful! The lounge itself is very spacious and clean which is a big deal for me so this made me feel comfortable! The bathroom is equipped with everything you could need including high quality soaps and lotions - another bonus! The food was good. This is a pretty nice lounge in terminal 4 at JFK. It does get extremely busy, so be prepared to queue up in the line outside. The line is split into two sections, one section for standard members, and one section for the elite members. Once you get inside, it is quite difficult to find seating. Most, if not all the seats are taken up, but if you can find a spot, they have really good food, drinks, dessert, and snacks. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and while there are long lines to get things, they move pretty quickly. I really appreciate being able to land at this airport, and then going to the lounge as every other lounge is only accessible on departure. Now, if I was leaving out of JFK at this terminal, I might opt for less busy, and just as good lounges, such as the Centurion lounge, or the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. Both of these options are drastically less busy while boasting the same quality. Overall, it was a good experience, especially once exhausted on arrival to grab a quick bite and something to drink. read more

Our visit here was back in June, 2022. En route to CPH, we had a long layover. Arriving just before 1600 hours, I though we'd beaten rush hour. WRONG! Rush hour was already waiting for us inside. At the time of our visit, the entry had not yet been 'automated' (scan your boarding pass, and the system determines if you get to go in, with a 'guard' standing by the machines). So right at the top of the escalator, there was a line, even though there were a good 3 or 4 agents to check you in. That was a taste to come. Turn the corner after you're checked in, and you'll be met with a few hundred of your closest friends, the supporting cast to a Thomas Hardy novel. The bar wait is not THAT bad (3 or 4 deep is my recollection), since there are several busy barkeeps, but the food line - you can fuhgetabadit! One look at that long queue and you've cured whatever hunger pangs you had. Peaking over the shoulders of those in line confirmed that, meh, it's not worth the wait. You just MIGHT be able to sneak a bowl of soup around the corner - it's not cutting in line, since it's at the end of the line, where there is no line. But otherwise, this will be a good exception to drinking on an empty stomach. Suffice to say, we did not stay long - not when the Centurion Lounge is an option. The facility itself is really quite big, with good amenities (showers!). The back side overlooking some gates is sunny and could be relaxing. They have a thoughtful Prosecco station right as you enter, which is a good option if you want to quickly quench your thirst. All that to not only dwell on the negative, and therefore 3 instead of 2 stars. But along with the staff necessary to properly take care of the hordes of customers, this was just way too crowded, at least on this particular day. read more

After visiting both LA's brand new sky club and then coming here, this one is way better! The food is way better the staff is much more friendly and attentive and the overall ambiance is much more lively and fun. There were so many food options, and being able to take a shower in the middle of our long travel day was an absolute life saver. I am so glad that our longer layover of the day was in New York at this lounge because it made a longer layover go by so quickly! I look forward to my next visit. read more

They went out of their way to help find us seats, since I am using a cane these days. We couldn't say enough nice things about them. Everything is so incredibly clean. That is in-spite of the hoards of gluttonous travelers, who seem destined to test the limits of how many plates they could carry back to their table. I mean, it's free. You can go back as many times as you like. Why hoard? They refill everything ever ten to fifteen minutes, too. And then you're surprised, when you drop one of your five plates and try to push the mess aside with your foot, all the while still carrying your other four plates. Really? The Staff here isn't paid enough to constantly clean up after such slobs. Five Stars to the folks who work here. Zero Stars for the experience. read more

Took advantage of Delta's Sky club during a recent trip that had a layover at JFK in New York. You can use the lounge if your flying Delta and belong to one of several frequent flyer programs. This lounge is huge with a full bar and several areas of food. They serve buffet style meals all day from breakfast thru dinner. They have a coffee bar and self serve soft drinks. There are several different seating types including tables and chairs to have a meal. Most seating areas have charging stations and power outlets. There is an outdoor patio overlooking the jetway. complete with a Nathan's hot dog & pretzel cart. You can watch takeoffs and landings. The restrooms are clean and the staff friendly. read more

This was our saving grace last week on a Wednesday night when the Centurion Lounge apparently closed shop way too early. So glad we were flying Delta and makes me honestly want to stick to flying and earning Delta Skymiles as much aa possible now. Anyway, this would have been a 5-star easily but one of the Sky Club attendants named Duani not only didn't say hello or welcome but felt terribly inconvenienced that he had to refund my Platinum card in what was clearly an honest and harmless mistake. Ummm don't be in customer facing jobs perhaps if you clearly don't like people and have zero compassion? Just a thought. On to more important things, after trying to brush off that negative vibe from Duani, we were extremely pleased to see such a spacious and really clean lounge. The rest of the staff were nice and just making sure everyone had what they needed. The buffet had hot and cold food. The chicken parm was tasty, good cold cuts and cheese. Some good chips. And actually had freshly baked cookies too, actually felt pretty comforting to have all of these in such a pretty space. Loved the various types of tables and seats, and despite the amount of people inside the lounge, it didn't feel crowded. The bar also had 1-2 bartenders and the house prosecco actually wasn't bad.
