After finding this place on Yelp, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. This restaurant has more of a mom-and-pop feel, serving authentic fish and chips with generous portions, good quality ingredients, and reasonable prices. We ordered Combo #4, which came with four pieces of Alaskan fish, four shrimp, and fries. We also added hush puppies, popcorn chicken, and Diet Cokes. The food hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh out of the fryer, perfectly seasoned, and crispy without being greasy. This is exactly the kind of fish and chips we've been looking for. The staff was friendly and provided great service. Stopped by for the first time to grab two orders of the 2 piece fish and chips and a side order of hush puppies. Took less than 10 minutes for the food to be ready, and even though it took at least 20 minutes for me to finish my meal, the fish was absolutely piping hot the entire time. The fish was absolutely perfect- a thin and crispy batter, tender and flaky fish (ZERO 'fishy' taste), and didn't fall apart after dipping in tartar sauce. The hush puppies were another major winner, I loved the strong green onion taste, and they had a great crunch to them. As long as it isn't Monday, it's a good day to get the best fried fish in the OC. The cod is generously cut and never greasy. My mother absolutely loves their fried shrimp above all others. This place has some of the best fish and chips I've had in a while. It wasn't heavily breaded and the fish itself was flakey and not oily. Their tartar sauce was delicious! The meal comes with 1 and they charge 80c for a large or 60c for a small container... 100% worth the 80c!! The chips were nothing special but they had a nice crunch.
