The Chef's Crudo was incredibly fresh and delicate, with flavors that truly let the fish shine. The Aguachile Ceviche (my fav) was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--fresh fish, citrus, and just the right kick. The calamari was light, crispy, and not greasy at all, and the fish tacos were packed with flavor, fresh toppings, and perfectly cooked fish. You can really taste the quality and care in every plate. The server Sean was very patient and friendly, he answered my questions about fish given I need to be safe eating lower mercury fish. He made sure to ensure the order was cooked to the right level! I buy fish from these guys almost every week at the HB farmers market. It's fresh, sashimi grade, and I have yet to be let down. Every dish I've made with their fish, my family has loved so I decided to take my mom and MIL here when it was their last official meal together since my mom wanted to treat my MIL. MIL got fish tacos that she loved, my mom got a fish salad that she devoured, and my sister got a carpaccio and truffle fries. Service was amazing. I'm pretty sure they forgot the fries but they were quick to get on it when I brought it up. The fries are SO good. The fish was fresh, and it's also expertly prepared by the chef. The fisherman's stew had a balanced taste between the natural brine of the seafood and the tanginess of the tomato. Even the bread that came with the soup was perfectly toasted. It's not everyday when I experienced a Ratatouille moment, when a food critic was overwhelmed by emotions and moved close to tears. My husband and I were craving seafood for lunch so we decided to stop by here. We decided to order the fish & chips, clam chowder, and ahi tuna sandwich since they were recommended to us by our server. I've had fish & chips all over the world, including the UK and Canada, and I can confidently say that the fried fish is among the best I've tried. The batter was so light and crispy and the cod was fluffy and juicy. I also upgraded the fries to the truffle parm seasoning and it was totally worth it. The clam chowder was just the consistency I like; not too thick and not too runny. The bread that came with it was soo good. And the ahi tuna in the sandwich was super fresh. I may have eaten all my food before I took a picture. But I did take a picture of the beautiful setting and great server. Cody was our server and he was amazing on recommendations of food. We started with the calamari that was so good and the sauces were both complimenting of the calamari. We then decided on sharing the Mahi Mahi Fish sandwich and the Mahi Mahi fish Tacos. They were amazing again, I know I could think of another word haha This is an amazing local spot with fresh fish and a great attentive staff. You would be missed out if you didn't try it. What a cool find! Their happy hour prices were such a plus. Never thought I'd like tuna on fish taco but it was like butter! We got four things for under $50 on the happy hour. Stopped by to place my order to go while charging my car. I ordered the fish sandwich & fries .. which was an excellent choice . Halibut was fresh & I requested it to be blackened on a brioche bun with pickled onions and tartar sauce which was homemade & delicious.. I ate the entire sandwich and didn't get a picture. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was another knockout it was light, perfectly crisp (you can tell the oil was fresh), and one of the best versions I've had. The Ceviche was refreshing and clean but honestly the other two apps outshined it. For mains, my girlfriend had the Fish Tacos while I went classic with the Fish & Chips. Both were executed with care and you can taste the quality of the fish and the thought in the ingredients. Nothing felt heavy, just satisfying. And dessert? The Key Lime Pie was a surprise highlight it was zesty, perfectly portioned for sharing, and the ideal way to close out the meal. A special shoutout to our server Sean, who was fantastic. I really wanted to like this place because it got a few things right from the start. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, which always sets a good first impression. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to that standard. The ceviche nachos were disappointing--the fish had an overly "fishy" taste that made it hard to enjoy, especially for something that's supposed to taste fresh and bright. The tortilla chips didn't help either; they were the thick, overly greasy kind that felt more like a cheap base than something thoughtfully paired with the dish. It got worse with the sashimi. These were advertised as "catch of the day," but the quality didn't reflect that at all. The fish again had that strong, unpleasant fishiness, which is exactly what you don't want in sashimi, where freshness is everything. To top it off, the pricing felt out of sync with the experience. For the quality of the food served, it was hard to justify the cost. Overall, while the service and cleanliness were commendable, the food quality--especially given the price point--was a major letdown. read more

Presentation to portion size were on point. I took my wife and some friends to dine at the restaurant last night and Chad outdid himself again. Friendly and personable service staff with killer decor to boot. We started with the charred edamame and ceviche apps. Both set the stage perfectly for the main entrees. Next, we tried the ahi fish sandwich, the halibut plate, ono fish tacos, and jumbo lump crab roll. (Sorry, we missed a few snaps because we were so eager to eat the food). I have been looking for a spot for my fish burrito and clam chowder cravings and have found it in Seal Beach Fish. The fish burrito here is very fresh and very filling. They don't skimp on any of the ingredients and we really enjoyed the two sauces that it came with. You can ask for any kind of fish in your burrito but we stuck with their pick. No changes needed for us. The clam chowder here is also very delicious... I wish I got a bowl instead of a cup. It comes with a toasty bread and is perfect for the upcoming cooler weather.
