Have a pump in my basement that I thought needed to be replaced (very costly). Chris suggested taking it apart to see if there was a clog etc. There was a screw jammed in the motor preventing it from working. We had a water pipe burst at 5:30 on Saturday night. After calling numerous plumbers claiming emergency service who couldn't stem my flooding house until Monday, I contacted Rob Albano at Albano Contracting. What a stroke of great luck! Rob was able to get one of his technicians, Erick, to my house within a few hours. Erick immediately assessed the situation, had all of the necessary equipment on his truck, and had the burst pipe fixed very quickly. He bled the heating system to make sure there was no air in the heating lines and even removed the wet insulation in the eave to speed up the drying process. Kudos to Erick! Absolutly the best plumbing contractor we have ever had! We had an emergency at rush our and figured we'd have to wait for a couple of hours. But NO! he arrived within an hour looked at what had to be done. Said "no problem" worked some magic and FIXED! I asked if he would take a look at another problem thinking we'd have to make an appointment to get it done because it required quite a few parts. Again NO! He said he would do it then or if I wanted he'd come back when it was good for me! OMG! The customer came first! His price for both jobs was Excellant! Nothing like what I imagined. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I was having issues with my living room not meeting the thermostats set temperature and called and spoke to Rob. He came the very next day as mentioned and I explained my situation fully. I took him to my living room where it was freezing cold inside (61 degrees). I showed him my boiler room and he turned the temperature of my boiler up from 185 to 200 degrees and just waited there and said it should help. When I asked for recommendations on how to upgrade the system or what I can do to help because clearly the room was cold, he said to consider high output baseboards, when I asked for an estimate, he didn't even bother giving one, just said high output baseboards would help. Clearly he didn't take me seriously. Literally spent a little less than 10 minutes in my home and charged me $100 to turn up a boiler temperature. I won't even bother calling back to say my issue isn't resolved because I know it'll probably be another ripoff or waste of my time. read more

I am staying at my late grandmas house and things are old there was a hole in a pipe under the sink and a disconnect between the sink and dishwasher. I called rob after finding his name online. It was a Sunday afternoon and he came at no charge within 30 minutes with a free estimate then he did the work which included replacing an entire pipe, drain and connection was done within an hour and charged under 200 bucks for the whole thing! He even took credit card which was great! To top it off he gave a one year warranty on all work. I called Albano Contracting yesterday for a leaking Bathroom Faucet...that I made worst trying to repair. I explained to them that I want to replace it. He told me to pick up the replacement & call back to make an appointment. I picked one up at Home Depot & called them back today at 9AM. He made appointment at that time to come over between 12noon & 1PM. He showed up on time & did a great job replacing the Faucet & cleaning up upon completion.
