I was suppose to receive a refrigerator last week, in fairness, it did arrive a couple days late because of the fires, but when the delivery guy arrived, they only assigned one person who stated that he couldn't do the job alone. Then I had to wait TWO more days and a finally ONE delivery driver arrived and installed the new fridge. The fridge did not work. I heard back from the manufacturer in a timely manner, but in order to go ahead with an exchange, they had to contact the retailer (Albee's) which took a day and a half to do. When they finally contacted them, I was told by Sabino I had to wait another day for a delivery. I mentioned to Sabino that I've been without a fridge effectively for almost two weeks, and he said nothing could be done. One star. NOT GOOD read more

Sold me a floor model at a reasonable price (assuming I would have had to pay shipping and wait another week, elsewhere). Promised matching handles and connector kit. Delivery person was incredibly proud of his dolly, which I assured him would still chip our stairs without putting down a rubber matt or carpet. It chipped our stairs. It's been 2 months and still no sign of the matching handles. I visited the store after 3 days to try to retrieve something and got half a pillar connector kit. We ordered a stove from Albee's and unfortunately had to cancel our order after a series of terrible experiences. After placing the order, we paid for a delivery and installation fee but when the delivery person called, he said he wouldn't deliver unless we paid him another $200. After the fact, they agreed to deliver with no fee but then our delivery was canceled/postponed on three separate occasions. At that point, it felt like we were being scammed. When I finally went into the store to cancel the order, the employee I spoke with tried to refuse giving me a refund receipt. I'm so glad that I found this business online and didn't check their reviews before I called them. Had I seen their star rating, I probably would have looked elsewhere. It's a funny thing about reviews, you really need to read them to see what the issues are and you shouldn't hold the retailer responsible for issues that are out of their control. Home Depot has a 48 hour return policy on refrigerators for damages and defects. How can anyone expect a small business owner to have a better return policy than a big box store? Anyway, my experience with Albee's has been great and I intend to use them in the future too. I needed a new ac unit for a tenant who's unit went out during a heat wave. I found Albee's online and spoke with Frank. I gave him the dimensions of my wall opening, the btu rating and voltage I needed. He said he had a unit in stock that would work, told me the price and also provided a very reasonable price to install the new unit and dispose of the old one. We didn't know if my existing wall sleeve would work, so Frank explained there would be an additional cost if they had to replace the sleeve. I gave him my credit card number and scheduled delivery and installation for the next day. As I was on call for jury duty, I asked if he could call my tenant when his driver was on his way. I realized later that I called right at their closing time, but Frank never made me feel rushed. He answered all of my questions and was very polite and professional. The tenant called me after the installation and was so happy to have ac again. She said everything went great and the installers were nice and professional. They didn't have to replace the sleeve, so I lucked out there. Frank emailed me the receipt and has earned a repeat customer. read more

I called Albee's, spoke with a salesperson named Frank, and he gave me the best price, told me that it was in stock, and it could be delivered immediately. One phone call, great price, and no surprises. Wow. Delivery was superb. They called me shortly before arrival to confirm their on-time delivery, they were cautious in navigating to the laundry room, they were knowledgeable, and they got me going with the new washer immediately. When I went to return it, I was charged a restocking fee despite the error by their salesperson. Each time they were supposed to come for installation, they either sent someone who needed to learn how to install the refrigerator or lied about what day they were coming. My wife and I were forced to set aside several days waiting for an appliance that did not come. We had to pack our food on ice daily to keep it from spoiling. First off I just looked at their other reviews and they are really horrible. So I am really surprised that I had such a good experience. In fact, it was so good I stopped my workday to write this review. I ordered an in-wall AC unit that was a special size. The original date of installation was two days earlier. The delivery guy showed up and said that the wall sleeve was not done properly and he would need to replace it and would reschedule and come back with proper wall sleeve. Well, he called me and rescheduled for today. It was a 3-hour job and it created an epic mess as they had to cut into the wall to fix the improper way the old unit was installed. These guys worked hard, communicated better than expected, and were very professional plus they did not leave any mess what so over. Really good. Again I am surprised at the other bad reviews. Store manager Sabino Avila mislead me and could not own up to planned next day delivery for an urgently needed refrigerator on a Friday before weekend to my elderly mother's home in LA. Claimed he had no drivers available after waiting hours for a return call. Said he only may be able to deliver Sunday. The Albees' store is just 1 mile from the house. I pleaded for a small mini-unit in the interim which after another long hold wait said he'd accommodate as a loaner for which I would need to pay the same $99 to deliver...... just 1 mile away! Would not budge on their $99 delivery fee. Makes me wonder, if he had this delivery guy, why couldn't they just deliver the original fridge ordered? No answer to that. This was my second purchase from Albee's and all I can say is that not only they provided the best pricing , but also the fastest , on time delivery and courteous and professional instalation But it is the after sale service that is very impressive . The Dryer I purchased had a problem . GE Waranty was covering the visit - the GE technician told me that new parts were necessary and a takes about 3 weeks to get it done . I contacted Albee's and they immediately resolved the situation and within 24 hours I had a working Dryer which made my wife very happy. I had a really awful experience this year trying to buy a portable AC (the LG that is out of stock everywhere). I really got the runaround. After realizing the online store was never going to ship me the AC I ordered, I started calling places in LA. After calling several places, Albee's told me they had one. So I rushed over there and sure enough, they had one. So I bought it, and the sales guy helped me load it into my car, and that was that. Albee's use to be my go to store for purchasing appliances for my apartment units. I recently purchased a vent hood which was delivered the next day. When I received the product the screen on the hood was damaged. (See photo). I was promised that a replacement screen would be delivered the next day. It never came. I also discovered the I could have purchased the product on Amazon for 60% less than what they charged. They advertise that they will beat any price, but that does not hold true. I'm a landlord who now lives in the SF Bay area. I purchased a fridge from Costco and the delivery team came and refused to get the unit through the doors of my property claiming it was not possible. So I called Albee's because I needed a new fridge in my LA apartment and they're local and why not support the local business who can scout out the doorway and make sure this works, right? I In theory this is the ideal situation. It took a month and a half of calling, my partner calling, my tenants calling....nothing happened. Finally I went to the store and personally harrased Sabino (wearing a mask and furious)...I happened to be in LA because I wasn't confident things were going to go smoothly, no surprise why. It took another 3 weeks after THAT to get the same damn fridge that I bought from Costco delivered - no issues with delivery - and yet Sabino wanted to upcharge me a $400 including delivery. What a load of horseshit! Scheduling the delivery was a circus, he called me on a Sunday saying that his guys were able to deliver and had the fridge, could they deliver it now....after scheduling and cancelling multiple times. I told him to get his shit sorted out, discount the unit and split the delivery cost with me and we'd call it done. I also told him to get an organization system in place - he was taking notes into a lined notebook page after page daily without any organization to it. No wonder it's a total shitshow. We bought a freezer there 2 days ago and it's not working. There was some stain on the bottom when we cleaned it before using - they may have sold us a used appliance without telling us. No one is answering the phone provable due to the holiday weekend and after trying manufacturer's website found there no way to get it repaired or even file the ticket until next week. We Will loose a lot of valuable food which is very stressful at this time. Of course a freezer that is NOT WORKING is the biggest issue but while I'm reviewing I will note that the delivery was not great either. The installer failed to follow the simple instruction to wait OUTSIDE of the gate; and instead, trespassed on the property. He had a smirk on his face throughout. He told me twice that there would be a lot of dust. In response, I asked if he had a tarp to cover my white furniture; and, if he could wash his hands in the sink with clean paper towels and soap provided. He refused both simple requests. His hands were layered with filth. HE WALKED OFF THE JOB, and badmouthed me that I am "picky in MY home" to all other installers not to complete the job order. I needed all new appliances, I did some research ahead of time and went to some of the big box retailers like Pacific Coast / Best Buy / Home Depot and Lowes to see what the different features were like, but at the end of the day, the customer service and fair pricing I got at Albee's from Frank made all the difference. He ordered me a LG washer, dryer and top of the line Thor oven, all of which have been great appliances thus far. 4 months later my dishwasher went out and I immediately called Frank. He brought in 2 great options in the store that met my needs, I picked one, and within 30 min, it was at my house being installed.
