Sabino could not have been more helpful, despite several unavoidable order changes we had at the apartment building. Contacted the store a week and half ago to order a washer and dryer for my mother-in-law. Spoke to Sabino. I told him exactly what I wanted, model numbers included. He told me he had both, but he needed to confirm for the dryer. He said he would call me at 9am the next morning to confirm. He did not. I called later that afternoon. I asked him to send me an invoice so I could confirm the quote and the price. He sent me the invoice, but with different model numbers and higher prices. I called to discuss, he said these were the next step up, that he could not get the models I had asked for that he previously said he had in stock. We negotiated a new price and free installation. I offered to pay, but he said he would contact me the morning of the delivery. We scheduled a delivery for 10-7-2020 in the afternoon. Come today, the day of delivery, no call to confirm so I called at 9:30am. He said he needed to check to confirm everything was ready to go and would call me back in 10 minutes. He did not. I called 30 minutes later, he still did not have an answer. Said give him 5 minutes. He did not call back. I called 25 minutes later, he still did not have an answer. He got on the phone with the warehouse while I was on the phone with him...he then told me he cannot get the washer and dryer he swore he had and that was scheduled for a delivery this afternoon. He offered me different models for both the washer and dryer. Two problems, wanted to charge me even more than the original model I wanted, and the second model he offered me. To top that, the dryer was a gas model when I needed electric. As I tried clarifying about the need for electric, he talked right over me ignoring anything I said. Finally fed up with all his lying I asked to speak to a manager. That was not an easy task for them to accomlish either. Kept being put on hold, and eventually Sabino picked up again, at which point I stated firmly I needed to speak to the manager. Put on hold for another 10 minutes or so. The manager finally picks up, I believe he said his name was Albers. He was a joke. He first insisted that Sabino is very busy and has lots to do and cannot keep track of all his customers. Never apologized, just made excuses. Then when I explained in detail the whole situation, all he did was restate that they cannot get the washer and dryer I had ordered; ignoring completely that I was promised a delivery of this afternoon. He then stated that I never paid, so there is not problem. I said, I offered to pay (at this point very happy that I did not) but that Sabino said he would collect payment the day of delivery, which again, is today. The manager did not care that I took the afternoon off to receive this delivery. Did not care that I was repeatedly misled about the availability of the washer and dryer, let alone the multiple attempts to keep changing the models. Lastly, did not care that I was not contacted at all to inform me that the washer and dryer were not available. All he did was make excuses and ignore the lies and inconvenience. I chose to go with a local business during COVID in an effort to support them and the local economy. Shame that they have zero customer service skills and are straight out liars. The person asked what I was looking for, so I gave him the model number of what I wanted. He said that someone else would call me in a few minutes and took my number. No one called. I went to Albee's on June 13th 2022 to buy a new refrigerator because my old one just DIED. I told PPPL I liked the Frigidaire and LG models BUT needed an ice maker. The Frigidaire icemaker was $90 cheaper BUT would take two weeks to get that ice maker and PPPL said they had the LG ice maker in stock so even though it was $90 more, I went for the LG. PPPL said it would be delivered the next day. On Friday, the delivery truck shows up and I say to the driver "this has the ice maker correct" and he says "NO"!!!! He looks at the invoice and PPPL did NOT add the ice maker on the invoice. I said "WHAT'S UP WITH THAT " and he says "what sales person did you buy it from" and I described PPPL and he says" OH!!!!! THERE IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING THAT GUY DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" GREAT!!! We call PPPL and he say's "oh, we will get you the ice maker tomorrow" and that was the start of a three week BATTLE to get my ice maker, WHICH TO THIS DATE, JULY 30TH, I NEVER GOT FROM ALBEES!!!!! Every time I called and asked for PPPL,( probably about 20 times in a three week period) I was put on hold for at least 10 minutes each time and when he finally picked up, he was always "oh, let me make a call and I'll call you right back" WHICH HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK ONCE!!!!!! This place is a SCAM. I purchased a refrigerator, washer/dryer and microwave from this location. They delivered the items without any warning and left them on the front lawn even though I paid for installation. Every time I called they would tell me they would call right back and never would (I could hear them laughing in the background). This business clearly hires unreliable, unprofessional independent contractors (the delivery person asked me to help lift the fridge up my stairway) to deliver their products, and then places the blame solely on the contractors when the delivery doesn't show up. I purchased a new LG washer and dryer two years ago from Albees and ever since I purchased the products I have had endless problems with Albees and LG. Albees was referring me to the manufacturer and LG was telling me to deal with Albees where I purchased the product from. LG said it is possible that when it was installed, the installer didn't remove the four screws on the back of the washing machine and that is the result of my problem. On every load of wash, the walls shake violently,, making me fear a break in the walls. This stackable combination gave me problems from the second I purchased the product from Albees. I had never had problems with a Maytag washer and dryer that I had in the same location for more than 14 years. When I purchased the product, it included installation and delivery. The salesman, Cebino, at Albees made one excuse after another and now two years later, Albees and LG are telling me that I have to pay a technician to come out and fix the problem. Cebino is claiming that perhaps my house is not level and that is the result of my problem. When I purchased the product, during the installation, their delivery person demanded more money and Cebino told me pay his installer $30 more. Had I not done that, he would have left me residence and the installation would not have been completed. Cebino is a smooth talking con artist and Albees shouldn't allow him to engage in these practices. I would encourage anyone purchasing such a product not to do business with Albees. This Speed Queen machine Is literally falling apart and they'll do nothing about it. The manufacture will also do nothing about it. He explained the differences between the brands and models available and we made an arrangement to come into the store to see their huge inventory. Within a short time we selected a washing machine and finalized the purchase. The Speed Queen was delivered and installed the next day. One month ago I began working with Sabino. He sold me an LG washing machine, took down my credit card, address and phone number and told me my machine would be delivered in 3 days. On the 4th day, I said the machine hadn't come and asked when it was coming. He said he didn't know who I am, he didn't have any information and never talked to me. After 15 minutes of speaking with him (after the 45 minute hold in the phone to speak to him in the first place), he asked me for all of the information again and told me the machine would come in 3 days. One month later, he is doing the same thing. today I called his manager and was instructed to pick up the machine in the store and arrange for deli and installment myself. They don't have people to deliver machines, it turns out. The manager said Sabino is just a sales guy and doesn't do anything beyond that. So now, I haven't had a washer for over a month, I've spent hours waiting on the, phone hearing it would come any day now and I now have to find one somewhere else and wait another month for it to be delivered. As most other posters said, they have no accountability and their communication is terrible. We paid them for a commercial washer and asked that the keys be sent to us. Instead they left the keys to the coin box with the person taking delivery at the apartment complex. As the owner, we still don't have a key for the coin box. Not only that, they never gave us the coin box guard we paid for. We paid them for a coin box guard to protect the machine from criminals who break into coin boxes, but they never delivered or installed it. They simply stole the money from us and never gave us what we paid for. Now they dodge our calls and don't pick up the phone when we call (probably through caller ID). If there are 2 takeaways from this review, they are this. The workers at Albee's are dishonest thieves that will take your money and not deliver what you paid for. The second takeaway is that the workers at Albee's are not very bright. They cannot follow simple instructions, such as "mail the keys to me at this address". Spoke to Frank about having a dishwasher delivery and installation after failed attempts through Bestbuy and Home Depot. I had problems with Bestbuy and Home Depot due to no inventory, overbooked days, broken appliances, or no show deliveries. Also other local appliance stores I have called only do deliveries but no installs (which is bizarre). Albee's IS PHENOMENAL!!! Lots of inventory and instock install within a day or 2. I bought an appliance from them last week, for which I was charged in real time, as customary, and because they said they were busy with deliveries and short of personnel, I agreed to wait for this week to get my purchase. Their employee Sabino committed to having my appliance delivered on a specific date that seemed reasonable on both sides, which was today. I waited at home all day, but the delivery guy/ technician never showed up and was unreachable. I had also recommended Albee to a friend a couple of weeks ago, and the same thing happened to him. No delivery on the date agreed on, and he was blamed for not being at home whenever the delivery guy decided to show up. Bait + Switch! I purchased 3 LG air conditioners for a project I was working on. I later discovered that all 3 units were re-conditioned/used!! Every clerk that I spoke with (and I spoke with plenty) had a completely apathetic demeanor, a complete lack of caring about my satisfaction or if the appliance would even get to me. To use a modern phrase, no fucks were given, at any point in this transaction. It essentially took one week to finally get a delivery date sorted out and when that delivery date came, no one showed up. They couldn't give me a time for delivery, so I took the entire day off work and waited and waited and waited. Finally I called them and no one had any answers. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Below is a detail of our horror story if you want to know why. We ordered a Kitchenaid backplash in Nov.2013. Sabino promised that it'd be delivered in 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks, my wife called and Sabino said that it'd take another 3 weeks. After 3 more weeks, we called Sabino and he said "let me check the order, and I'll call you right back." His infamous words are "...let me call you right back", which he ONLY ONCE called us back after I yelled at him. He NEVER called my wife back after she hounded him daily after 5 weeks. I had to personally call Whirlpool/Kitchenaid to see if he really ordered the unit or not. Kitchenaid/Whirlpool confirmed that it was delivered back in early December to their Gardena warehouse. Sabino called shortly after my phone calls to say that the backsplash was found and ready for pick up. But when my wife went to pick up the backsplash only 1 of 2 boxes showed up; the other important piece was missing. After another week and a half, I called to follow up on the missing piece and got the run around again. This time we asked for the manager, Solomon. Solomon seemed nice and sincere, at first, and promised to look for the missing part himself over the weekend and promised to deliver it to us on the following Monday. When we called to follow up and pick the part on Monday, my wife was told that "they no longer make the unit and to come and get our refund." Hmm, that's really suspicious. If you walk into this place, you'll see how they use every square inch of their floor space to display/store their inventory. Claustrophobia aside, this place has a very decent selection of major appliances of all types. I suggest you do your research in advance: know what you are looking for, know what the price ranges are, and you can negotiate. If you have proof that someone else is offering something for a certain price, most of the time, they'll match the price. But if you have no idea what you're getting into, you're going to have a harder time negotiating. That said, their prices are fair and they do deliver. read more

Terrible to work with. They have multiple people trying to snake each others deals so their entire invoice and scheduling system is disorganized. They showed up MULTIPLE TIMES unprepared and without the equipment we ordered. Technicians fought with each other while on the phone with us??? And to top it all off all of the appliances we bought through them that they installed are not working properly when I called them they said they would send a technician from the manufacturer out to us. Poor communication. No accountability. My landlord purchased new ovens for me and another tenant in a nearby building. After delivering theirs, they instructed them to turn on the oven for 15 minutes before cooking anything. They neglected to inform them the appliance instructions were in a plastic bag inside the oven. It caught fire. My experience was only marginally better. First they completely wasted 3 hours of my day by not showing up during the scheduled appointment window. No call to reschedule. When I called the store they gave me a delivery manager's number. He was zero help. My landlord called the store owner (They know each other, it's the only reason we are dealing with this company). They eventually got through to a driver who promised a new 1 hour window the next day. That came and went. I called the store and was given two numbers for the drivers. I asked specifically if they were accountable to a delivery manager. He said "no." When I finally reached the driver, he complained about having to unload a bunch of stuff at the warehouse that morning. Not my problem, but at least call your customers or have SOMEONE call to alert them to a delay. Avoid this place at all costs. Check out Lowes, Home Depot, or Feder's out of Santa Monica. Anything will be a better experience. Don't ignore all these negative reviews just to save a buck. read more

i ordered a dryer from Albees. the wrong color came, it has a scratch and the installation must be incorrect because it takes long time to heat up. I have called 6 times and they tell me they will call back and send a technician. They never call me back. read more
