The sales rep I dealt with on the phone was as nice as could be, & their prices were fair, if not entirely competitive. The delivery was prompt & installation speedy, & they did take away the old appliance. However, they took it upon themselves to charge me for an additional item I did not need, want, or ask for, & it's taking forever to get the credit back. Frank Avila of Albee's is a bonafide ROCK STAR!!!! I am a very, very particular shopper. When our dishwasher died unexpectedly I did my usual exhaustive research and decided on a KitchenAid that had wonderful reviews. Then I started calling around for availability and prices. Lowes, Best Buy, Home Depot, Sears, ETC. When I got to Albee's, Frank had all the information and the LOWEST PRICE! I didn't believe it so I went in to see him in person. He confirmed everything he'd said, including the price! I handed him the check and three days later, Eric, another great guy, delivered the unit, installed it and CLEANED UP COMPLETELY before he left. We have become invested in the theory that only a BIG organization can save you money on big ticket items, NOT SO! The smaller local merchant will fight for the sale! DON'T overlook this fact! Soloman and his team at Albee's are the best in the business if you need parts or appliances they have a huge inventory on hand. I have seen how they work and their attention to detail is impeccable. They also offer delivery and remove my old appliances (stoves) for me. I highly recommend you call them if your in the market for a stove or fridge and microwaves. I will never purchase anything from Albee's. I bought a stove for a tenant and the delivery was set up for a Wednesday by 2:00. I called at 1:45 and was told they were busy and didn't have a driver. Sabino told me they could deliver it on Thursday 9-11. Thursday I called at 11 and they said they couldn't deliver it. We set up an appointment for the following Monday before noon. I called at 11 and was told THEY DID NOT HAVE THE MODEL STOVE I ORDERED!!! How could they set up 2 appointments to deliver the stove if they didn't have it in stock??!! We bought a stove that was more expensive because our tenant our tenant was furious and so were we! They charged us $59 for delivery and set up. They had quoted me $45 for this in the phone. When I questioned them, Sabino said he never told me that, but he would charge me $49. He charged me $59 and would not take less. I will NEVER do business with them again and you should not patronize this store. They are dishonest!!! read more

What a horrible, unethical business. Stay away. I bought a supposedly "new", fairly pricey refrigerator from Albees. As soon as it is installed, it isn't working, not cooling at all. Both the refrigerator and freezer won't get below like 80 degrees. I tell them they need to fix it, and they say they won't/can't, that it's a warranty issue, because I've already bought it. And this is after they JUST installed it. I argue with a totally idiot named Sabino, I believe, who is extremely friendly when making a sale but completely uninterested and rude when it comes to customer service. Again, even though they just installed it, they are refusing to fix it, service it, anything. They say I need to call the manufacturer at the beginning of a long holiday weekend. I need the refrigerator fixed right away, so I have my trusty appliance repairman to come out. He quickly diagnoses the problem: It is a "new" 2012" refrigerator that has been sitting unplugged for two years, so all the freon has evaporated! Yep, not a manufacturing issue, but an issue that Albee's has had it sitting in their store or warehouse for two years, and of course they should know that the freon is going to be depleted. I just went ahead and had the freon put in and paid for it myself. These guys are complete crooks. Never written a bad review on Yelp before, but this is the most unethical business I've ever encountered. read more

Bought a White Westinghouse washing machine from here and it has since stopped working, nowhere in the US can find the product serial and model number to have the machine fixed. So I have an appliance that is barely used and no hopes of getting it repaired it is as if it never existed. The store can be somewhat crammed with many products and using every square inch inside the store, but the staff is very friendly, willing to help, and there to help you choose the right item that fits your needs. They do however deliver and depending on how busy they are, can be next day, but always ask for a speedy delivery the staff is there to help. The prices unlike in other retail stores can always be negotiated maybe haggle a little and/or might make a deal other stores cannot match. I've been coming back for years for multiple items and never been let down by them, they also have convenient parking in the rear of the building as this area can be tough to find parking or expensive. Make sure to ask for Frank, very helpful salesmen willing to go the extra step. read more

I cannot understand the negative reviews. They have been in business forever and you don't stay in business if you are not good. I really doubt these negative reviews. I have bought a refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave from Frank in the last few months and have they beat everyone else prices including online. They have been prompt about delivery, the delivery man calling to confirm, and installing with directions how to use. This place is unfairly reviewed in my experience. Horrible and fraudulent customer service. Do NOT patronize this establishment. Albee's delivered a gas stove WITHOUT an electronic ignition. Sabino at Albee's was advised of the mistake immediately. Sabino continued to string my parents into believing that they would be able to return the 'wrong" stove sent by Albee's. All around bad experience. The service was horrendous. I had called ahead of time and I was essentially lured into driving to the store. I was promised over the phone that there were certain items in stock that were in my price range. When I arrived, I waited ten to fifteen minutes to be helped. While I was waiting for a "refrigerator salesman" someone else walked me around the store and showed me items, advertising prices that were not even close to comparable to many online vendors. Once I started talking to he refrigerator salesman, he advertised prices that differed from what his coworker had just previously offered! I essentially wasted an hour and forty five minutes of my life at this place and even more time writing this review. I just want to save other people from making the mistake of trying to shop here. Go to a real showroom or order online. Even if you think you are getting a good deal here, you probably aren't. read more

Albee's customer service is HORRENDOUS! Sabino, a salesman, and Solomon, the manager or owner are awful to deal with. They told me what I wanted to hear, but didn't follow through with anything they said! This applied to price, delivery window and the amount they said they'd charge on my credit card for a warranty (yesterday) that I should have received 2 months ago. I have an email trail that illustrates the lack of follow through from the same day the fridge was delivered without the warranty paperwork I was expecting. The number of emails and phone calls I had to make about the warranty I thought I purchased at the same time as the fridge was ridiculous - yesterday I agreed to pay $115.00 to be done with this, and today I discovered Sabino charged my card for $130.00. When I called to complain, he denied the price he quoted but made the price adjustment anyway. $15 is a small and petty overcharge, but on principle, I prefer to do business with people who do what they say! Think twice before doing business with Albees - I certainly won't be dealing with them again! :(( read more

We ordered a Maytag dryer from Albee's. The delivery did not come on the stated day and we missed time from work waiting for them. When they finally came, they severely damaged our hardwood floor by repeatedly gouging the floor with the unit. They sent only one delivery man to move this unit, and he left our floor looking like someone took an icepick to it. We contacted the management who simply denied it ever happened, even after sending photographs. One scratch is 7 feet long, zig-zags across our laminated hardwood floor, and ends at the base of the unit iteself. Despite that, and despite us paying them, they simply denied they damaged our floor. Would never buy from them again. read more

I have purchased things from them many times over the course of my life, mostly for rental properties and have been pretty happy with the wide selection they have But when my washer died and I needed to purchase another one quickly, it was a series of errors that were extremely frustrating. Sabino first had the wrong machine delivered he also promised that they'd take my old one. When the new machine came, after a day of calling and being told they were on their way, which literally took HOURS because they weren't really "on their way" they arrived to inform us that they are independent and do not pick up old machines for free. We paid him to take the old machine and they did. I am happy with the new machine I bought but this salesperson seems to be happy to promise things that aren't possible or just aren't true just to sell the item and get it out the door. I will go to someone else next time. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never written a negative review before but this place is just a nightmare. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Whatever you do, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! I purchased a mobile washing machine from the store and was promised delivery the following week. On the agreed upon day, the wrong machine was delivered. Different brand, different product. When I called the store to notify them they told me "no big deal, its almost the same." It was not the same at all and so I requested to have to machine that I picked out and paid for. I was then told that this machine is actually not available anymore (they should have looked into this before selling a product they dont have and cant get). I was then told I can get the floor model delivered, with no discount. I reluctantly agreed. After being promised a delivery day I waited all day with no delivery, when I called the store the associate, Sabino, with whom I had been having all communication regarding this matter acted like he had no idea what I was talking about and then told me that he forgot to schedule delivery. A new delivery was scheduled, driver was 4 hours late and was not even given my address and was not told that in addition to delivering new machine he was supposed to take away the wrong one that was delivered. When the machine finally arrived, I was able to wash 1 load with no issues. The following day when I ran another load, the mesh net for collecting lint and other particles remained empty. Same thing happened the next wash. I called the store associate to inform him, he said "its ok, that part doesn't matter.) After the next wash, the machine completely flooded all over my carpet and hardwood floor. I called the store and was told to contact manufacturer which I did. Manufacturer took 4 days to get back to me, provided a local contractor for appliance repair. I was able to reach contractor after 2 days only to be told that they actually don't cover my area. Finally I called the store to say I want to item picked up and money refunded to my credit card. They tossed me around from associate to supervisor to supervisor each telling me the other would deal with it. Finally I was told machine would be picked up only to be informed the day before that pick up cancelled and that I should just call my credit card to request a stop payment even though charge was already paid for and that machine will possibly picked up at the store's convenience on another day. I wish I had read the reviews before making a purchase here... I had to find a refrigerator that fit a specific height requirement for an office space, and while I found what I was looking for product-wise, the customer service was absolutely horrendous. I was given a certain time frame for delivery which had to be rescheduled 3 times because they showed up several hours prior to the time I was told over the phone. Normally I'm not one to complain about having to reschedule, I know things happen, but on all 3 occasions I received nasty phone calls from a disgruntled employee who proceeded to yell at me as if it was my fault that there was a huge lack of communication between him and the main office... Not only is that unprofessional but it's completely unacceptable to treat someone that way, especially a paying customer who has been very patient with you after more than 1 mixup. I will never order anything from this company again, not worth the time, energy or head ache. read more

Called in to get a quote on a fridge. The salesman gave me a very good price on an LG. But despite me asking him a number of times to email me a written quote for that price, he never would. When I finally went in to get the written quote, the price had gone up $100. Classic Bate and Switch tactic. Albee's appliances was the best in price, delivery, and installation when it came to buying my new Speed Queen washer. They were the least expensive and charged me the least in delivery fees. Not only were they the cheapest, they delivered my washer within 48 hours after calling. I knew what I wanted, called 10 different stores.
