I…read morefeel a bit guilty giving them four stars instead of the five they perhaps deserve, but I have to qualify it because I'm not 100% convinced the issue is resolved once and for all. This is primarily because the Nissan dealer I first took the car to--via AAA tow truck--said they could not fix it because Nissan no longer makes the parts they deemed necessary. (I suppose my 2009 Altima is by some standards "old," but hardly in the Model T category.) Autogear was the first mechanic to respond after my SOS on Yelp. After Autogear's first repair, the issue (car not recognizing the fob) returned after a couple of days. I took the car back, they did some more tinkering, at no extra charge I must say, though I don't think they actually replaced any parts, and it's been fine ever since. At this writing it's been nearly two weeks. They even called me the other day to make sure everything was okay, which impressed me greatly. I'll keep you posted if there are any new developments.

He arrived after his normal operating hours and immediately got to work. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and efficient, but he went far beyond what was originally discussed. He quickly diagnosed the issue, helped complete the repair, and patiently waited while my husband went to purchase the correct parts, which took an additional 20-40 minutes. Once the parts arrived, Art finished the installation, reassembled everything that had been removed, and even cleared the error codes the vehicle had thrown during the repair process. These are the guys!…read more I've had my Gen 1 Prius for 20+ years now and I wish I had been bringing my car here all these long years to begin with. Totally worth the drive from Burbank. These guys were, first of all, very responsive on the phone. They were proactive in communication and very accommodating with dropoff and pickup times. I brought my car in because it was behaving very strangely, all kinds of scary engine system warning lights flashing, odd noises when driving. I expected whatever was wrong to be thousands of dollars. Instead it was an incredibly easy and relatively cheap fix. They recommended me some other services that I hadn't performed in too long (changing the cabin air filter, etc) and offered me a good price for those too. They kept in good communication with me throughout and were always happy to explain the work. The work took one day. They let me bring my car in the evening before so that I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn...spectacular! After I picked it up, it was still making some odd creaking and scraping noises, so I called them a couple of days later to ask about it. They had me bring the car back in the and spent maybe 10-15 minutes figuring out what was going on, while I waited. Turned out to be some improperly attached protective bit of the undercarriage (not their fault - i think this was the fault of the previous mechanic who had installed it), which they spent a further 10 minutes adjusting and then... voila! No more noise! They didn't even charge me for this extra work and sent me on my way a completely satisfied customer! They even helped me change my windshield wiper blades, which I was having trouble with due to a broken piece on the old ones. Outstanding customer service. Kindness, expert knowledge and incredibly trustworthy energy in every interaction, with every person I talked to. These guys know their stuff and they are honest and straightforward. A real gem in the auto repair industry. We are lucky to have them here in the valley.

After three years since moving to LA I finally found New Sun Auto Service and they turned out to be stellar. They do a whole suite of different services. I went for brakes services and air conditioning. Didn't air conditioning service after all but the brakes service went speedy and the manager J. Rodriguez was super friendly and broke down all my options beforehand and let me decide what package was best for me. Service only took couple hours in and that was perfect because I could get a nice leisurely lunch at the world-famous Pink's hotdogs one block away. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. They aren't just mechanics, they do body work, upgrades, and custom work if you want to improve your car, not just maintain. Great experience! Couldn't recommend them enough!
